We have been utter dross in every single game (bar maybe the win over Utd and the first half in the win v Thistle) which takes some doing. This season has tested even the most patient, optimistic and "glass half full" type 'Well fans to the limit and on Saturday their patience finally ran out. Whether the board are considering punting Barraclough in the next week or so we don't know, but I think either way we may be mighty close to seeing a repeat of the season tickets being thrown on the park like at the end of the Malpas season.

Absolutely no chance we're getting anything out of this. Inverness are absolutely streets ahead of us this season. Really hope Pearson, Hammell and even Vigurs are back. If Barraclough has any sense Straker and McManus won't be playing and we might actually see other players playing in their proper postions with a slight semblance of shape and tactics. Bet we don't though. The baw is truly on the slates for us. Anything between 2 and 4-0 to Inverness.
-
Excellent point.
-
Nevermind the return of Pearson and Hammell. Vigurs, Angol and McHugh would WALK into that team right now. Just shows you how bad we've become.
-
No point in giving him any more time, we've seen enough. We were 6 points clear of 11th when he took over and now we're bottom and running out of time. The players he's brought in are just fucking laughable! Enough is enough.
-
McManus, Lasley and Sutton have contributed the square root of fuck all in 30 games combined this season and are seemingly undroppable no matter how bad they are. Supplement that core of ineffective senior players with freebies picked up from the arse end of nowhere ho look woefully out of their depth and drop players like Kerr who have hit, in relative terms, a bit of form and it's no wonder we are where we are. It's an omnishambles the likes of which I've never seen and as a result we are now staring into the abyss! The people who hired Barraclough should be showing him the door asap and certainly, on the evidence of the players he's signed, should not be giving him another penny to strengthen as his "eye" for a player in clearly appalling. This team wouldn't even survive in he first division. We are an absolute laughing stock.

My car is in the garage just so made the decision to hire a car and drive down. My decision of course, but rather than have the £80 quid in my pocket that the whole adventure cost me, I'm actually glad I witnessed that farce as if I hadnt I would never have believed how bad it was. We are fucked. Absolutely fucked. Down without even the slightest whimper and its been on the cards since the Stjarnan game. The very future of our club is being jeopardised by utter amateurs. Has a Scottish team ever had such an embarrassing and drastic fall from grace? Finishing 5th, 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, to 12th?!?!
-
I've seen enough. But only if he can take his signings with him. To think of the money wasted on them.
-
Wow. Just wow. Disorganised shapeless chaos. Laughable actually. Any hope even the most optimistic of fans have surely vanished today. Some of the new players are some of the worst players I've ever seen, at any level, and the other signings are no better than what we have on the bench. We're going straight down, and the suggestion that we could go the rest of the season without a win looks entirely realistic. As bad as it got under McCall, I'm quite certain we be never looked that shambolic. Barraclough is an imposter and we have regressed significantly since him came in.
-
Really disappointed Pearo hasn't made it. Really really harsh on Kerr that he is dropped after playing reasonably well yet McManus who has not once looked interested or capable keeps his place.
-
I've yet to see the guy in the flesh but this is the consistent feedback I'm hearing. Very concerning. But then so is 99% of what we've seen in the pitch this season.
-
There isn't a defender in the world who hasn't cost his team a goal at somepoint but Stevie Hammell is far and away the best defender we have at the club at the moment and his return will improve the team no end.
-
Need to get him signed up asap. If we lose him for nothing in the summer heads should roll!!
-
Relegation would be an absolutely unmitigated utter disaster for Motherwell in so many ways. You think the crowds are bad just now? Just wait till we've been down there the amount of time Falkirk, Partick Thistle and Dundee are/were. If, and it's a massive if, we came up straight away everything might be ok but it's going to be a herculean effort winning that division or coming up via the play offs next year. We had budget cuts when we were finishing 2nd and 3rd, what will the budget cuts be for finishing 11th or 12th?!?! People can delude themselves that it would be a bit of a jape and good craic visiting new grounds etc if they want but see how you feel when we've been kicking about as a mid table first division team for a few years.

No Pearson GazzyB?
-
I'm really hoping Pearo and possibly Hammell are fit for this. I'd play Long Ramsden Laing Kerr Hammell Johnston Grant Pearson D. Thomas Erwin Moore If Hammell isn't fit then Watt who has looked decent at left back. If no Pearson then it would have to be Lasley. I'd also be tempted to try Ainsworth upfront for the last 30 minutes. It's worth a shot. The spine of McManus, Lasley, Sutton has yeilded nothing so why persist? I predict Barraclough will play pretty much the same team as v Ross County though. We could well be bottom of the league by 5pm on Saturday.
-
That's the problem though, there is no improvement on the pitch whatsoever!! Barraclough talks a good game, even a great game, and certainly says all the right things pre-match and most of the things in the post-match (disaster) analysis make sense. In the games themselves there is little or no eveidence whasoever that his vision/tactics/message is any different from early/mid season McCall!
-
The "2 throws of the dice" is a good point actually. Pearo being available from Saturday onwards could be pivotal. I know I'm repeating myself, but I do believe we may have the players to get us out of trouble. My concern is Barraclough won't deploy them! Of course nothing is certain but if we go down I predict we'll be down for years.
-
Time to bump this to the top of the page. The nightmare scenario is another week closer, and at this rate it will be straight down rather than the play offs.
-
Possibly. Another massive problem is the senior players have yet to have a good game between them this season. McManus, Lasley, Sutton and Ramsden have yet to kick their own arse in 30 games! And Hammell has only played 3 or 4 times maximum. The 3 managers keep picking them all though and the more this madness is persisted with the more our chances of survival diminish. We won't have to worry about the play offs at least, we're going straight down. I honestly don't think we'll win another game this season. Yesterday was our best chance of 3 points and once again shat in the nest. Ross County play Partick thistle next week and a win for them there coupled with another insipid capitulation from us will see us finally go bottom. It'll have been a long time coming and thoroughly deserved.
-
I expect more injuries to appear effecting anyone who has looked semi decent, Sutton to start upfront himself , McManus, Ramsden, Reid and Lasley to keep their places, O'Brien to get brought in at the expense of anyone, Erwin to be punted out left and Dom Thomas to get a grand total on 10 minutes combined. Oh and zero points. Ok, I know I'm being a dick, but am I wrong?
-
I've been saying for ages that we may have the players at our disposal to get us out of trouble but successive managers are unwilling for some reason to drop persistent offenders. Can't believe yet another manager is playing Sutton upfront himself! Now Lee Erwin is stuck out left?!?? McManus should've stopped being picked months ago. Ramsden and Reid flatter to deceive, Lasley is done. It's the same names every week. Yet they still play. When is the penny finally going to drop? Why not try young Watt at right back? Why not try Moore and Erwin up front? And why on earth is Dom Thomas not getting game time? The last in particular is staggering. The players are the ones who are making the individual mistakes but it's the manager who keeps picking them and therefore the buck stops with him. Every single weekend we are seeing he same mistakes and the same non performances from the same individuals. We brought in umpteen new players and it's still the same. The buck stops with the manager. This run can't go on indifidently. I'd give barraclough till the split, or when we go 6 points clear at the bottom. Which ever happens first.

This Motherwell team continually find new ways to depress you. Just when you think you've hit rock bottom....
-
We are the worst team in the league.
