  1. I can't work out the formation. Pearo still injured?
  2. No misplaced confidence from me (surprisingly!!!) The season starts today though. I don't even want to think about what it will mean and/or how I will feel if we lose.
  3. Without a doubt Kerr has been brutal on several occasions this season (his pathetic attempts at defending cost us at least 2 goals on New Years day) but in fairness he was excellent at Tannadice and by all accounts did well when he replaced O'Brien v St Johnstone. When did O'Brien last play well? His last full outing at Dens Park was laughable. We have competition for places in nearly every position now. Playing well should give you the edge over others. If it doesn't I don't know what will!!
  4. Based on the last couple of performances Kerr deserves to start ahead of O'Brien.
  5. My heads spinning with all of this! I still don't even know all the new players names and what position they play!! Are we to assume that the new owner has financed a lot of this? Whilst I'm pleased that we have speculated to acumulate in order to stay up, it seems like a lot of players in one go. I hope this doesn't mean that Thomas, Moore and Erwins development is stunted, but some of the other players could certainly do with a rocket up the backside.
  6. How the hell can Accies get 1 million quid for a player that's played less than 6 months top flight football?
  7. Best of luck to the guy. We've now brought in 4 players this window which has far exceded my expectations in terms of numbers. I think Pearo, based on what I seen at Tannadice, will be a great addition. Hope the others are too.
  8. Ainsworth offer something, there's no doubt about it, and when he's on his game he is a fantastic asset with a cannon for a shot. However..... his workrate is appalling and he continually drifts in and out of games. McCall (and probably the fans too) were pinning the teams creative hopes on him and Vigurs delivering this season and it just hasn't happened.
  9. Anyone who can help us stay up is of course most welcome but they'll need to be of a decent quality. In Pearo, Thomas, Moore and Erwin I believe we have some of the tools to stay up. If it's a Ruddy or Jutkiewicz calibre of loan them fine but failing that I'd rather see us go with the above named and see what they can do.
  10. Do you think Van Dyke or McCulloch would've been sent off for the same foul today? No chance!
  11. Apart from the 2 chances at Tannadice last week.

    Willie Collum

It was an extremely harsh red card in my opinion and all the more galling when you think it comes hot on the heels of being denied 2 very strong penalty shouts the previous week.
  13. I remember when he gave the 'Well fans the fingers when we were protesting at the end of the Malpas season. And then came out and denied he had done such a thing!
  14. Kerrs defending on New Year's Day had me for binning him permanently but he came in and done a job at Tannadice. We've seen next to nothing good come from O'Brien and yet his loan is extended and he appears to be above Kerr in the pecking order. We've brought in another centre half who whilst it is extremely early days possibly isn't any better than what we have (at best) and all the plaudits are going to the youngsters who are only getting bit parts yet being hugely influential when they are on the pitch. My concern is we might actually have the tools to get out of this mess at our disposal but we may never know if Barraclough insists on persisting with the likes of Law and co
  15. Completely agree. We absolutely have to start Erwin, Moore and Thomas together. Why Law was signed is bad enough but why he is continually persisted with is criminal.
  16. Where? When? And what? Care to elaborate? I don't want an arguement, but we're all here to debate all things Motherwell.
  17. The worrying thing is most of the fans could pick a better team from the players available than Barraclough! The new boys aren't exactly getting glowing reports for their debuts, eh? Not exactly heartening to think we have brought in much needed players who are worse than what we already have! Is this a taste of what we're to expect in the summer?!
  18. Good point. Kerr was excellent at Tannadice and deserved to keep his place today.
  19. Should be trying these boys from the start. Moore and Thomas that is. When everyone is fit I don't think we'll see much of Carswell and you'd like to think O'Brien and Law may finally be benched.
  20. I'd start Kerr (on current form) before O'Brien. How did Straker look?
  21. A point is better than a boot in the baws all things considered.
  22. I love how we find out about brand new injuries the day before the game and then have to wait till 2pm to see if our worst fears are confirmed.
