Would take a point here to be honest.

First half, certainly the first 30 minutes was the best I've seen us play this season and gives me real hope. Second half however shows how far we still have to go. There's no doubt that I be viewing everything in a slightly different mood if we hadn't won but they main thing is the 3 points at the moment. A pity St Mirren and Ross County picked up points but it at least draws the pack tighter together.

I would agree with that Casagolda. It's all very well playing a passing game and keeping the ball on the deck but you do have to mix it up a bit and give the opposition something else to contend with from time to time. By the sounds of it Law should be starting at right back from now on in?

We'll be doing well to get a point here I think. If Thistle have scored 18 more goals than us then that is an absolutely damming statistic and just goes to show (as if there was any doubt) how bad we have been this season.
-
Delighted for Sutton (or anyone) to score the goal that secured 3 massive points but the fact remains he (and many others) have been murder in the 20 previous games this season.
-
Fuck thum! Remember the penalty they got for the ball hitting McManus in the face last season? Massive 3 points. It probably wasn't pretty but we need to drag ourselves out the shite whatever way we can.
-
I thought Ferguson looked hopelessly out of his depth last week. We're playing against 10 men. We have to try and stretch the play.
-
Couldn't have put it better myself. The new manager watched that garbage last week and decided that Sutton (among others) should keep his place?!?!
-
Ha ha! He's got more hair than me!

What I seen on Saturday, in the first half in particular, absolutely horrified me. We can only hope that the new manager is a miracle worker and he can organise the shambles that McCall left behind sufficiently to at least avoid defeat. It doesn't bear thinking about only taking 1 point from these 2 "6 pointers" but that's the stark reality we're facing. Defeat here coupled with a County win will see us eating our Christmas dinner bottom of the league! Cheery eh? It's been on the cards for months so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Pish times.

Whilst the off field issues are encouraging it's going to take a major upturn in fortunes on the pitch for me to feel upbeat and postive! 3 wins out of 20 and there is little sign of a corner in sight, let alone it being turned.

Did I say Black was culpable/responsible for us finishing 2nd? That's a new one to me. I'm sure as the resident stalker you could provide evidence of this?
-
Kenny Black should be hunted. He's a culpable as anyone for the shite we are in. A complete overhaul in the way we approach everything is needed.

Absolutely spot on.

County were the much better team throughout but it's still an absolute sickener. First 45 is among the worst 45 I can ever remember seeing. The work ethic, composure, desire and ability has not improved or increased at any point over the season. Ainsworth may occasionally offer something going forward but is also one of the main reasons we lost the equaliser. Time and time again he chose the wrong option in the final 3rd. Ferguson had a man running at him with no support for the last 30 minutes! Sutton may have scored but again offered nothing. Angol?! Just wow! I play 5's with better players. Massive missed opportunity to give ourselves some breathing space and it was blown collectively and by the continual underperformaning of individuals. I seen nothing today to suggest we are still anything other than completely fucked.

A few rumours kicking about today that Van Der Gaag was offered the job but wanted to bring in his own team and was told no. Kenny Black is one of the main reasons we are in this mess and him being kept on is not good news.
-
Best of luck to the guy. He'll certainly need it with the dross he's inherited.
-
You're absolutely right of course but will no doubt be accused of being a "pant wetter" and other such shite patter. Nearly 6 weeks since McCall resigned... I fear there's been a fuck up/issue behind the scenes now and the preferred appointment is now in doubt.
-
Still no news? What's the hold up? Everyone had been interviewed, time to choose and attempt to save the club from the drop!
-
Baraclough does have a Stephen Kenny feel about it. Stephen Kenny nearly kept Dumfermline up though mind. None of the candidates are without flaws and therefore quite uninspiring. I suppose it just shows our place in the scheme of things.

Even if the new manager is appointed tomorrow morning it will give him a whopping day and a half to get to know the players before the massive massive game on Saturday. Bravo once again Motherwell.
-
I don't think there is a chance in hell we will catch Accies this season! Right now I'd settle for finishing 10th and getting shot of every single out of contract player we have in the summer. If there is anyway we could cancel McManus and Reids contract also although I appreciate that's highly unlikely. Question for the stattos....when was the last time we were this bad?!?! Could be 40 years? This season is certainly much much worse than the Malpas season. It certainly feels it and I'm sure the points gained by this point then would back that assertion up.
-
You'd like to think the players realise the importance of this game. Hopefully the new manager will too. We need 6 points out of the next 3 games. I'd argue we actually need 7 or 9 but will temper my aspirations with the keech that's been served in the previous 19 games. We're not suddenly going to win 3 on the bounce when we've won 3 in the previous 19. Surely tae fuck Sutton will be dropped and Erwin and Ainsworth will start?!??

Wasn't so long ago that all we had to argue/debate about was whether we could be doing with a better right back than Tom Hateley! Seems like an eternity ago.
