A blind man could see what clarkson and mcfadden would've brought to Motherwell on and off the pitch but McCall had other ideas. If we get relegated it will be McCalls legacy to motherwell rather than the previous high league finishes.

By the time we had lost to Thistle, Aberdeen and St Johnstone I was so punch drunk from losing every week that it didn't upset me as much as it usually does. Now that we have finally won a game we desperately need to push on as we are still firmly rooted in the mire. Massive massive 6 pointers coming up in December. Would bite yer hand off for a draw here but pretty sure we'll lose.

Don't rate or like Adams. Smarmy torn arse is a pretty accurate description. Would be disappointed if it was him who got the job, and I also don't think he would do a good job either. Even a with a successful team on the pitch he would be very difficult to warm to. Steve Lomas or Billy McKinlay seem better bets to me.

Sutton has been an empty jersey all season. As soon as Erwin is fit we need to give him a decent chance in the starting 11.

Definitely. No chance of getting anything from this game. We have missed Hammell hugely this season and it looks like he is going to be in and out of the team with injuries which we could really do without. Reid will have to fill in at left back I suppose.

There are very few candidates for it to be reasonable to say "I won't be back if he gets the job" Peter Grant is one of them.

4-0, 5-0 Utd easily. We've been having the same pre and post match chat for what seems forever. Don't know about anyone else but I now feel punch drunk and numb to losing this many games. It almost doesn't hurt anymore. Wil possibly be the lowest home attendance in years also.

I have heard from a couple of people that Boyle wanted the money back he was owed if the Well Society didn't raise the cash. In that event he would wanting control and getting "Romanov" type guys involved...... Possibly a few dots starting to join up here. Quite difficult to comprehend the trouble we could be in actually or the fall from grace we are about to experience.

Rumour on fir park corner that seemingly MFC have written to some members of the Centenary Club ( and no doubt others) asking each member to provide a loan of 10k in order to raise 1 million. Loan to be repaid with interest and donors given the status of an amber member of the Well Society. Also John Boyle has taken the Main Stand as security. Any truth behind that do you think?

Caught the last half hour of Saints cup game v Sevco there. I thought both teams were absolutely awful. If we fail to take at least a point against them on Friday then we're even more fucked than I already fear.

There's a shit/disappointing season (ie hovering round about 7th/8th/9th and not looking great but still capable of scoring and competing) and then there's administration induced relegation. We are currently hurtling towards the latter.

My only concern when considering to re-sign Clarkson was whether he would be any good. Would he be the same player that left us 5 years ago etc...That question was answered in spades last Saturday. Maybe Clarkson wasn't exactly what McCall was looking for at the time but if he trained and looked like that that in the summer then surely McCall should've/could've thought he could've done a job of some description? The fact that he didn't gets even more unforgivable with each passing week and subsequent Clarkson goal. But then if McCall had signed Clarkson we might not have been able to sign Law, Reid, McManus, Kerr or Twardzik eh? The vast majority of whom have been complete empty jerseys in the vast majority of games so far. I'd go as far as to say I'd swap the entire list of players mentioned above (none of whom we would've missed) for Clarkson to be playing in a motherwell shirt right now. So would McCall probably, it may well have been a signing that keeps him in a job. And us in the league.

Just as it is completely galling to have been "best of the rest" for 3 seasons running and consistently good in other seasons yet have no trophys to show for it (whilst other teams are consistently rotten and have won cups), it will even worse to have 1 solitary bad season and be relegated, whilst other teams (ie St Mirren) are continually bad and manage to never go down!!

St Johnstone do indeed not look very good, but then apparently neither do Partick Thistle or Dundee.... If Faddy plays well then it's yet another nail in McCalls coffin to go with the one Clarky put there last week.
