Will this finally be the weekend when we finally get a reaction from the players to the absolute garbage we've been served up 12 games running? Here's hoping.
-
Is he going to Poland? If so what are peoples thoughts?
-
We've been having the same discussions both pre and post match for 12 games now this season. Hopefully the post match discussions after this one will be commenting on a win and some semblance of decent play. Have seen nothing to suggest this will be the case however. For McCalls sake I hope Clarkson looks murder.

You're certainly not the only one who thinks this. With the experience and pedigree McManus has I was expecting much more from him and frankly from the off I've never warmed to him. Maybe it's the ex-Celtic connection but mainly it's because not only is he guilty of everything listed above but he has the look of a player who has made his money and is now merely playing out his final years close to home. His tackle in the first 30 seconds the Accies is one of the single most ridiculous, reckless, stupid and utterly needless excuses of a tackle considering not only the minutes on the clock but also the area of the pitch and the certain ramifications that I have ever seen from a Motherwell player ever. In short, he couldnae lace Craigans boots

Tough decisions need to be made to ensure the survival of the club, no matter how painful they may be. We wouldn't survive relegation. The signs have been bad from the Stjarnan game onwards on 10 games later there still are't even the remotest shoots of recovery. That's too long a time to be written off as "Bad luck" or "not getting the breaks". St Mirren had 0 points about a month ago but apparently were playing decent stuff, they just couldn't finish. Now they've made up 7 points on us and are playing with some purpose. They still have Steven Thompson to come back from injury too. If Ross County start to respond to their new manager and/or spend in January then what's our response? Try Vigurs at right midfield? When a depleted Partick Thistle team who haven't been winning or scoring brush you aside in a game widely considered to be the "game we finally turn the corner" by some of our fans then you really do wonder when the manager and players will finally get their finger out! McCall absolutely can't go away with the Scotland squad. Motherwell are in full blown crisis mode under his watch at the moment. If he does go then for me it shows he doesn't appreciate the severity of the situation. I fear now that what we are seeing the missed opportunities, bad identification of players and signing policy coming home to roost.

I fully expect us to be bottom by the end if the month. We also have to nightmare scenario of McFadden or Clarkson scoring the goal that relegates us to look forward to!
-
Last paragraph in particular is exactly what many have been saying since the Stjarnan debacle. That was 11 fucking games ago! The corner is no closer to bring turned and we are still failing to show the most basics aspects of football week in week out. We apparently have "strong characters" in the dressing room? Where are they? Surely none of them want a relegation on their cv?
-
It's not just about today though is it? He may well have scored a wonder goal today but that's all he's done in 10 domestic games. A decent 45 minutes every 10 games isn't enough.
-
It's not just McCall, it's all his signings too. Think of the money we have wasted on McManus, neilsen, twardzick, Ramsden, Vigurs, Lawson, Ainsworth, and josh law. Imposters that don't give a monkeys about Motherwell!! Thistle were in disarray before today and were missing their main man in higginbotham too. Strolled it by all accounts.
-
2-0. Taxi for McCall.
-
Clarkson scores again for Dundee. Apparently not good enough for us though....
-
For me the situation was worrying after the Stjarnan game although what has happened since then is the stuff of nightmares. Every single player we have is performing at a fraction of what they're capable of but I've never seen such a downward spiral from the word go from a team bar when Gretna or Dundee the last time they were up. Anyone still not think we're in a relegation battle?
-
Great response from the players to last weeks humiliation. St Mirren winning too so now 2nd bottom as it stands....
-
Who knows what the starting 11 will be? Perhaps this will finally be the game that the players finally give more than a fraction of what they're capable of?! Here's hoping as we can't rely on other teams doing us favours to keep us out the play off places. When the fixtures were announced this was a fixture I was looking forward to but the constant dirge we have been served in every game leading up to tomorrow has worn me down to the point I am completely disillusioned and scunnered. Faddy signing signing for St Johnstone tipped me over the edge! Usually feel a bit guilty whenever I have to miss a game but not this week.
-
Saturday was by far the worst although all the games, even the 2 we won, have been unbelievably brutal in ways we haven't witnessed since the Malpas season.
-
Feels like a defeat and we weren't even playing! If it turns out faddy is fit and does a job for st Johnstone there will be much annoyance down Fir Park way. It will be another nail in McCalls coffin for many.
-
I could greet. You just know what's going to happen when the teams meet on October 31st...... If that happens it will be really tough to take. I suspect there will be a "Lampard v Chelsea-esque" celebration.
-
I know more often than not Faddy looked poor last season but I think McCall and Faddy fell out and that's why he wasn't offered a new deal.
-
I hear you Shire Greats, but unfortunately most of those players bar Hammell have been available in the previous games and look how we performed in those games.
-
Thistle will have 4 or 5 players out after playing on the artifical surface, right?
-
Where do we go from here? We absolutely must not lose the next few games, even if that means parking the bus at Thistle and home to Dundee. This is what it's came to! We can't become isolated in a mini league at the bottom! The senior players have to be strong and rally the troops (which is exactly why keeping McFadden would've been beneficial!), it's their job to keep the others focused and postive.
-
This. Said at the time it was a major mistake not signing him. Still McCall knows best....
-
It certainly is. Can anyone else remember a more humiliating derby defeat? I remember us losing 4-2 at Douglas Park years ago when I was wee but this is on another level. The players should be fucking ashamed of themselves.
-
In response to some of the points Fat Tony raised, yes I totally agree with some of the bookings and pushing pulling (that Brown got a penalty for) that went on and we seemed to just meekly accept them. I'm not saying that we should be surrounding the red screaming at him, but Collum was so bad at times and we didn't seem bothered! A sign of the lack of fight within us?
-
We're also in the unfortunate position where no one in the media gives a fuck about us and therefore there are no pressing questions delivered regarding to the omnishambles we have witnessed for the entire season. The post match interviews, which are conducted by the general manager are so easy for McCall to negotiate through! Who was injured, who wasn't? Who was "running on empty"? Why does astro turf injures our players yet nobody else's? What's the excuse for the showings on grass if Astro turf is apparently the devil? Why have 2 players who can be game winners in Ainsworth and Vigurs continually never deliver? Why when josh law has played his entire lower league career at right back played anywhere but there? Why didn't we re-sign McFadden? Do you not think Clarkson could've done a job for us? Why wait and wait and wait to Ojamaa back them when we do he looks worse than McHugh? Why does every team look fitter than us? What have we and what are we doing to address this? Why have we only scored 1 goal at home?
