  1. Can't really add much more than what has been said already. It really is as bad as it gets. I'm struggling to think of a more embarrassing result and performance in recent memory. It's worth singling out McManus' shocking, irresponsible, potentially destructive and completely unnecessary booking in the first minute. For me that sums up his attitude to playing for Motherwell and I've never warmed to him since he signed. Any other suggestions as to the formation today? Players "running on empty" after 7 games?!?? Only team in the league unable to recover from playing on AstroTurf? 2 full backs being injured apparently being the reason nothing's clicked yet?! From the get go this season it has looked bad and it really isn't a surprise to see us playing as bad as we have been and sitting where we are in the league when every single player in the squad is performing at around 25% of what they are capable of. It's actually a miracle we have 7 points and unless you were at Parkhead or in Dingwall, which 90% of us weren't, then you'll have seen Motherwell score 1 goal this domestic season. Seriously. Just let that stat sink in. Scant resources have been wasted and we are now finding ourselves in a "mini-league" dogfight to stay in the division. The shambles and sluggish start to the season hasn't sorted itself out as we hoped and despite the previous good times under McCall nothing lasts forever and things have unravelled big time. It's never nice for it to come to this but McCall and blacks resignation should be submitted and accepted on the morning.
  2. Getting destroyed here. Reminds me of watching us under Malpas. 1 of the worst 45 minutes I ever seen. Ever. Embarrassing.
  3. I'm reading a few reports that Accies essentially had a youth team out last night? It did make me wonder where Jason Scotland and Antoine-Curier- whithisface were..... If so that makes our inability to beat them, with 10 men for 30 minutes, even worse! Fuck sake!!!
  4. I love Lasley and he's a Motherwell legend but it's not happening for him at the moment and others should be given their chance. It's not as if we don't have plenty options for a central midfield pairing.

    Josh Law Vs Faddy

Faddy and McCall must have fallen out. That much is obvious. Faddy was injured most of last season and when he did play he only occassionally showed what he was capable of, even the season before. I still believe Faddy should've been given a deal (at the expense of Law), even for the drive, determination and moral boost he clearly brings to the squad. Law isn't the only underperformer who is guaranteed 90 minutes this season though, and that's only one of the factors that's costing us.
  6. Needs to be a win. No two ways about it. The players owe us. Surely Lawson, Erwin and Ojamaa to start also?!?! On the subject of Ojamaa, why hasn't he been starting?! He's been back at the club 6 weeks and has hardly featured! Twardzik, Ramsden, O'Brien, McManus, Reid Ainsworth, Lawson, Leitch, Vigurs Ojamaa, Erwin Subs can be made before the 80 minute mark and/or before we go a goal down.
  7. Would agree with all of that Eddie. The only explanation for not playing certain players last night is possibly the pitch? Check the Accies team, I've not heard of a single one of them!!! That's what we failed to scored against!!!!
  8. Penalties are a bit of a lottery. Really disappointing. These players and manager aren't capable of cup performances it would appear.
  9. Any chance of a sub? We at least have options on the bench.
  10. Ojamaa on the bench again! That said I didn't like the team on Sunday and look what happened.
  11. There's pretty nothing I wouldn't swap for a Scottish cup win. Anyway.... I disagree that defeat tonight would see McCalls jacket on a shoogly peg. And nor should it. However, I think a good cup run is well over due and would be a much needed shot in the arm for enthusiasm for the fans. I sense a flatness at the moment (hence the lack of response to a frankly excellent point at Parkhead on Sunday)but all that can change with a couple of wins. That said, I would rather lose tonight then be put out in the next round by Rangers! In short, we need a win tonight and 4 points from the next 2 league games.
  12. Having watched the highlights.... What a sitter Sutton missed just after he scored. We had a great shout for a penalty and celtics was soft as hell. A total joke in fact. I'm surprised I'm not angrier actually but I've seen it all before I suppose.
  13. Great point. I've a feeling in going to be beeling when I see the penalty though. Is Ojamaa injured? Can't believe we're not playing him if he isn't.
  14. Apparently the foul was outside the box. Typical.
  15. I'd absolutely love to be dining on humble pie this evening.
  16. Starting 11 once again is a joke. If Kerr is playing right mid then McCall has lost the plot. Law keeps his place, no Ojamaa, Erwin, Ainsworth of Lawson (who has played well)? Are these guys injured? Shocking stuff.
  17. I see Hammell is still out and is apparently miles away from first team action. Another couple of injuries picked up in training and are 50/50. A narrow defeat and no more injuries is the best we can hope for here. Next two league games v Accies and Thistle are massive and we really need 4 points from them.
  18. I didn't realise the game was moved to the Sunday!!! Is it on sky?
  19. I can't recall ever losing 8-0 but there has been been a 7-1, more than a few 5-0's and umpteen 4-0's.
  20. Could easily be 5-0 or 6-0. If they can score that many against Dundee Utd who are much better than us then..... I know football doesn't work like that but it could be a dark day. A 2-0 defeat with no more injuries would probably be the best we can hope for.
  21. Thank fuck for that. Be interested to hear from those who were there how we played but that starting line up and the unwillingness to drop players who contribute little suggests today's win merely papered over the cracks.
  22. How many game since Sutton scored? 8 or 9? Erwin and Ojamaa would've been what I would've started with. Leitch for Lasley aswell possibly. Be delighted to eat humble pie but I've bad feeling about that team. No width whatsoever.
  23. I'd love to be proved wrong and the manager sees the players in training every day etc but for me that starting 11 is a joke. What have Law and Sutton done (all season) to keep their places?!?!
  24. I could be wrong then. I'm sure I read somewhere that Carswell has a virus.
