  1. Carswells out. Lawson was one of the very few decent performers last time so deserves to keep his place in my opinion. I'd go. Dan Ramsden McManus O'Brien Francis-Angol Vigurs Lawson Leitch or Lasley Ainsworth Ojamaa Erwin
  2. If Pearson is still any good is be happy to see him (and Faddy) given deals to the end of the season. The question would be how we are going to pay him?

    Club Email...

That email is horrendously amateurish and unprofessional. Much training needed for the sender. Kinda sums the past 2 months up....
  4. Not strictly and "in or out" for us but Clarkson has signed for Dundee. Be interesting to see how he does having not seen him play since he left us in 2009 but it will be pretty galling if he does a job for them when we had first refusal and knocked him back.
  5. I applaud the creativity of whoever came up with this idea. Hope it works for both club and supporters.
  6. Hammell and Ramsden should bd back for this and according to some their absence is the main reason for the shambles we have witnessed so far..... The players carrying knocks will have a couple of weeks to rest/heal and the rest of them I can only assume will be on triple training sessions a day in order to address the lack of fitness. I'm hoping we might finally see a goal and a win. In fact, we really need a goal and a win. Anything less and, well, I really don't want to go there.
  7. I don't think we have the money for any more replacements so it's up to the players we have on board now to roll up their sleeves and get us out of this mess. But aye, McFadden, Pearson and Clarkson would be most welcome.
  8. The discussion began with the concern of fitness immediately after the Starjan home game and yet with each subsequent game, 6 weeks later, we are STILL having the same discussions with no obvious signs of improvement in any area. Lack of fitness, lack of balance in the team, lack of creativity, lack of shape, many players incapable if the basic aspects of football, key players out of form and/or carrying injuries, players being played out of position....the list is endless, and yet it continues. In 5 league games we have scored 1 goal. That's embarrassing; there's simply no other way to put it, and we haven't even looked like scoring. In 5 games we have hardly tested any of the oppositions keepers and I'm struggling to think of any passage of play to create a chance. Our general play is slow, laboured, predictable with seemingly no desire from any player to take responsibility. The leadership on the park from the spine of the team appears to be non existent and we are clutching at straws to say the least that the return of 2 full backs will be the miracle cure. We are now in our 2nd season with no recognised left winger but we sign Josh Law whom no one really knows where he plays and he looks miles out his depth anyway. The price hike doesn't really bother me as the prices are still reasonable and very little in life stays the same price year after year. Others obviously feel differently but our attendances really do concern me. They are pitiful. Ross County in 2 weeks time is a must win now, as is picking up points from Accies and Thistle in the upcoming games and the players and manager have only themselves to blame for the position they now find themselves in this early in the season. I'm sure I've seen us lose 4 games in a row before and not score a goal for weeks but I can't remember when but this run of form, especially at the start of a season is as bad as I can ever remember and the excuses being rolled out aren't washing with me. Form has never been a deciding factor on whether I go to see Motherwell or not but we're now reaching a tipping point where if we don't win a few games soon the unthinkable of relegation is a serious possibility and I don't think the club could survive that.
  9. Having watched the highlights back there is absolutely no pressure on the ball whatsoever to stop the cross coming in for the goal! The St Johnstone player can practically pick his spot! This is just sheer laziness and it doesn't really matter who was substituted for whom, this is basic stuff and a real pet hate of mine! Ramsden doesn't cover himself in glory trying to win the header, but stop the cross coming in in the first place and there's no header to win. Really really simple basic stuff that 12 year olds know.
  10. In my opinion he shouldn't. He should be staying here and having the players in on double sessions a day in order to address the free fall we are currently witnessing. The players should've been in for double sessions every other day since the Stjarnan home game onwards frankly. It would be interesting to hear just what exactly has been done to improve our game of late. On the way back from the game today the commentators were saying that hearts had only has 3 days off since this season started and were even doing triple sessions on some days to make sure they were as best prepared as possible. It's been paying off then as they apparently have been excellent so far. What exactly are we doing?
  11. I've only missed Killie away and I can only go with what I've seen with my own eyes so far. This team doesn't have the ability nor the fight to win the mess that we are in. That goes for the back room team as well. If you can present a case to suggest otherwise we're all ears.
  12. I don't really think it's fair to have thread exclusively devoted to Sutton when there should easily be one for Lasley, McManus and Law aswell!! That said, Sutton once again was fucking murder today. Is incapable of even the most basic aspects of football.
  13. If we're being honest, it was a slight improvement on what has gone before, but still utter fucking garbage. We didn't deserve to lose but never looked like winning either. O'Brien and Lawson were excellent, Sutton, Lasley and Law were for the umpteenth game in a row atrocious. I would rather not see the 3 of them anywhere near the first team for the immediate future. Everyone else in between. Panic button has been pressed as far as I'm concerned. The team today wasn't much short of a first choice pick and still it has little shape, drive, ability, pace.... I could go on. 1 goal in 5 games?!?! Seriously? Malpas had us playing better than this. There's no positive spin that can be put on anything about our season so far. Completely unacceptable. Win or bust in Dingwall in a couple of weeks
  14. Wait!!! Is McManus out now too? Is this confirmed?
  15. We need 4 points from the next 2 games or we potentially run the risk of being cut adrift in the bottom positions of the league after only 6 games. I actually had to read that back there, but that's the reality of the situation. Incredible.
  16. Apart from Stjarnan away yesterday was the first game I've missed this season. From watching the highlights twardzick should definitely have got the first goal and the wall for the free kick was poorly positioned. He did make some pretty decent saves apart from that to be fair but it's not the first time this season he's let a speculative long range effort in. Having watched the highlights from the other games we are fucking miles behind every other team in every department. We're clutching at straws if we think the return of Hammell and Ramsden will be the miracle cure. I don't know what's wrong but the buck stops with McCall and we are approaching at "6 pointer" in Dingwall in a couple of weeks. Even in poor seasons there's always been at least a few teams worse than us that will save us from the drop. This season other teams will be looking at US as the team that will save them from going down!
  17. Same aspirations as last week only with even more pressure on us now. I'd bite your hand of for even a score draw and any sort of performance remotely approaching competence. Can't see past a comfortable away win though although football has a habit of springing unlikely surprises. Incredible to think how far the rot has set in after only 4 games. Here's my team Twardzik McManus O'Brien Reid Thomas Vigurs Lasley Leitch Ainsworth Ojamma Erwin
  18. I don't see how anyone could slaughter you for that worryingly accurate assessment catweazle.
  19. It would be a collapse of Leeds United proportions to finish 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 11th/12th!!!!! Blamed entirely in 2 full backs being injured.....
  20. If Sutton isn't scoring goals then he brings nothing else to the table. Nothing.
  21. There will be nobody else coming in. Why the hell we haven't signed a left sided midfielder is astonishing. Simon Lappin apparently had a very good game for St Johnstone yesterday..... Josh Law plays which position again?......
  22. The last time Hammell missed this many games for Motherwell he was playing for Southend! It may not all be down to John Porteous but our training methods etc are surely questionable when we are carrying so many injuries at once and have started a season with so many injuries not to mention players unfit.
  23. Great response from last weeks debacle then eh? The plastic pitch will be the excuse this week of course. Or the fact that our 2 first choice full backs being injured means the rest of the team apparently can't pass the ball..... 1 goal scored in 4 games and 3 defeats in the first 4 games. Absolutely howling and I fear there are much greater problems behind the scenes than just a couple of injuries. We just have to hope that St Mirren and Ross County keep losing as that at present is our only hope of staying up. Questions need to be asked. Completely unacceptable performances being turned in since the Stjarnan game onwards.
  24. Nice one Motherwell. Keeping it tight early doors.
