  1. Erwin out injured tomorrow as well! What the fuck is going on in training that we are picking up so many injuries?! Sort it out!!
  2. Inverness were excellent Tweed, no doubt about it. Their passing, movement, possession, attacking, defending and everything about them was top drawer. I was hugely impressed. I would take about half a dozen of their players for Motherwell in a heartbeat. As an aside, I watched the highlights from the other premier league games there and all the other teams, with the exception of possibly Ross County look significantly better than us. Significantly. Why is that? Why are these teams with comparable budgets looking sharp, fit, capable of passing and moving with players who know there roles and are even able to retain possession and mount attacks with purpose? You know, pretty much everything you consider inherent to a pro football team! Sorry, I'm still struggling to get my head round how bad we were yesterday on every level.
  3. I'd have the players on double training sessions after the keech served up yesterday and changes need to be made wherever possible. Any news on Hammell, Angol and Ramsden? Is Ainsworth injured? There's certainly something up with him! The boy Ferguson absolutely cannot play there again. Reid will have to fill in at right back (if Hammell and Angol are still out) with Kerr at right and maybe O'Brien with McManus at centre half? Kerr certainly doesn't deserve to be dropped. In the middle Carswell or Lasley need to make way for Leitch. I think we'll see Vigurs come in if he's fit again. Ainsworth and Law deserve to be dropped but one of them will probably have to play. We should go with Ojamaa and Erwin up front. Who knows what McCall will go with though? I'd take a point in a score draw to stop the rot and some semblance of deliberateness and game plan please.
  4. We need 2 teams to be worse than us this season. Don't fancy a 2 legged play off to stay up!!
  5. Sadly neither is the sub 4,000 home fans. I fear we could see less than 2,000 home fans turning up if these performances continue.
  6. If we keep that up and that's exactly where we'll be next season! That's how fucking bad we look. It's not the first time McCall has played a completely unbalanced team with no success, you like to think he might have learned by now. We're probably the most incoherent shambolic team in the league right now.
  7. The writing was on the wall when the team was announced and our best midfielder from Wednesday night was dropped. Shameful. The whole team looks a mixture of uninterested, unfit and unsure what to do!There's no movement or purpose from any of them. Is ferguson a left back? If not then why not play an actual left back at left back? He had a horror show but it wasn't entirely his fault when he had no one showing for any type of pass when he had the ball. It's unfair to single any one player out but we have a couple of importers in our line up at the moment who have yet to contribute anything meaningful so far this season. Very very worrying that we can be do utterly dominated at home by a team who we should be competing with. Buck stops with McCall. It's a scrap down the bottom this season. I thought Inverness were excellent by the way and were everything we weren't. Crowd was shocking as well.
  8. One of the worst 45 minutes if football I've seen from us in a long time. Completely outplayed and worryingly even outfought. No urgency and seemingly no game plan. Collectively and individually awful!
  9. Harsh on Leitch. Was easily our best midfielder on Wednesday night so fuck knows what the thinking there is. Disappointing.
  10. The Well Society just posted on Facebook that O'Brien from Derby set to sign on loan in the next 24 hours but not in time for Inverness game. Also, worryingly, Hammell, Ramsden and Vigurs still out with possibly another 2 to add to that!!! Fuck sake!! I've never known Hammell to miss as many games as this in a row with injury. I have a feeling that one of them may be Angol as he went off injured on Wednesday. Really really struggling for a left back then.
  11. Although it's not quite at the same level, Ojamaa returning is comparable to the utter joy I felt when Faddy first returned. We played Dundee Utd the very next night and we know how that went..... That's my fear for Saturday!!!!! Still well up for it though.
  12. Fucking great news!! Just the player we need. Absolutely no pressure or expectation on the wee man whatsoever eh?.... Actually quite hyper!!
  13. The debate on why (our) crowds go up and down has been done to death. If our crowds aren't going to go up after the past 5/6 years of sustained league success, record points hauls and the return of the most popular player in 20 years then they never will. Utd and Aberdeen are in different positions than ourselves. They have larger catchment areas and are much further away than Glasgow so the sectarian tentacles are unable to draw in as many as they can in Lanarkshire. What's worse though? Fans that only turn up when their team is doing well? (Utd and Aberdeen) or fans that don't turn up even when the team is doing well? (Us) This debate if it has to be had again is for another thread anyway.
  14. Indeed. Selling 2 players for 3 million quid each wouldn't hurt either.

    Dundee Utd

Close call between Erwin and Leitch. Went for Erwin. Really hope Leitch keeps his place for Saturday as he was head and shoulders above Lasley and Carswell.
  16. Competed well but eventually sat deeper and deeper. It was some strike and was in all the way from where we were sitting but I wonder if the keeper could've got a hand to it? Erwin and leitch were outstanding. Lasley and Sutton once again contributed absolutely nothing. For all the defence is apparently weakened they did really well for the most part. The "senior" players are the ones that are the weak link so far. McCall predictably didn't make the the changes till they scored when we were crying out did them to be made round about 70 minutes. Had virtually no out ball the full second half! Utd have quite a few thoroughly unlikeable players. The ref had a shocker in my opinion. More later....
  17. Competing very well actually. Law hit the bar with a beauty in the first minute. Ciftci is a fucking wanker! Looked like a forearm smash to Carswell.
  18. McCall in press conference there states none of the players that missed Saturday will feature v Dundee Utd either.
  19. Apart from 2-2 draw up there, which was actually a pretty decent performance and game, the other 3 games v Utd last season were absolute horror shows of the highest order. I left Tannadice at 4-0 in the 5-1 game as angry and embarrassed as I've ever been in a long time. With those games in mind and the fact that we are probably going to be missing several key players, others have yet to show even anything remotely approaching what they are capable of and with Utd bringing in a few really good players and coming of the back of a fantastic win over the greatest team since 1983.....the signs are not good and the smart money would be on a convincing home win. I think that's how it will pan out. Could be a 3-0 or 4-0, but you never know..... Hopefully McCall will have learned where we went wrong last season against them and will look to negate these facts.
  20. Can't really add much more than what the vast majority have posted. Great 3 points considering the injuries we had coupled with several experienced and capable players being well below par. Really important to get off to a good start regardless of how it was acieved. The crowd (or lack of) is very concening. Only 3,500 Motherwell fans?!?! Yes Iceland debacle was hugely disappointing but where is everyone?!?! Dundee had 7,500 at their game!!!
  21. What did you search for on YouTube to find it? Did all these players get injured in Iceland?
  22. How do you know Hammell is out? Where did you read this?
  23. Are the club going to do one if those Facebook event pages for the game? Did anyone get the email from Stuart McCall that was meant to be sent? Was it sent? What's the score with all the injuries? Which players are definitely out? Which ones might make it? Take it there will be no new signings in time for Saturday? Anything? Anywhere? Anybody?
  24. Hard to know which team will be put out due to injuries. I suspect a couple will make it. If it's Kerr and Angol that don't, with the greatest of respect that wouldn't be the worse case scenario. As long as Hammell, McManus and either Ramsden or Reid make it we'll be able to put together a fairly competent (on paper at least) defence. Could be Twardzik Hammell McManus Cummins Reid/Ramsden/Carswell Ainsworth Leitch Lasley Thomas Law Sutton
