I'm actually starting to get quite up for this game. I'm hoping the players have some fire in their belly and want to banish the Icelandic performance and result.

Steven Thompson is out for them which is quite good news I suppose.

I can't remember ever feeling so flat or concerned in the lead up to a season beginning. Don't know where all the injuries have came from, was it in Iceland? Who knows since the club pulled down the shutters for about 5 days afterwards. They've seemingly appeared from out of nowhere! Only 1 established/recognisable striker, and 1 that can't play as a lone striker at that. Who knows what type of team we'll be able to field? And against a team that has an excellent record against us. The signs aren't good..... .....so we'll probably win this one!! In all seriousness, depending on the team we are able to field, I'd probably settle for a draw and some semblance of deliberateness in our play.

Did all these players get injured in Iceland? Maybe if there had been any sort of comment/interview/ whatever since that game, the news of these injuries wouldn't be such a shock.... Apparently Vigurs will miss the first game also due to suspension!

Listening to McCalls post match interview Reid, Hammell, Ramsden, Kerr and Angol all injured!! McManus didn't play for "personal reasons" McCall said there was much "to be positive about", then didn't really articulate what that was!! It's all quite concerning. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse....

Really strange team selection in what would appear to be our last game before the season starts?!?!? Are the regular starters injured? Cummins comes in from nowhere and partners Darren Barr?!?!? Really!?!??! What a truly bizarre build up to the start of the new season! Ridiculous really.

Time is a marching on.... I know we're skint but are we really going to start the season with just what we have? With the same same starting 11 as v Stjarnan?!?!

The lack of confirmed friendly is merely just another fuck up in a long line of pre-season fuck ups that is now setting off some pretty loud alarm bells regarding our prep for the season ahead.

The silence following the game has been deafening! Normally, win, lose or draw there are photos, interviews etc on the official Facebook page within a couple of hours of the final whistle going. Seems like the old media tactic of burying bad news and whether no positive spin can be put on anything the story is given no oxygen. A sure fire sign they know everyone is absolutely raging! That said, it isn't going to go away and despite being utterly beeling about this shambles, I'll still be there on August 9th. The club will have to get the troops rallied sooner rather than later with some positive pr, (surely) the news of a friendly and hopefully (surely tae fuck) a new signing.

I'm hearing defeat last night has cost the club in the region of 750k as Lech Pozman had asked for nearly 5000 tickets and was to be shown on Polish TV!! It just gets worse!!!

Another penalty given away by Lasley by taking a bad touch in his own box rather than clearing it! Same as the first game!! McCall not the only one not learning from his mistakes then.

Realistically, how much will last nights shambles effect our ability to bring in the player(s) we are so desperately in need of? Right now, it really would take Ojamaa coming back to give any optimism!!

Through the league positions like a stone with the current squad and approach is the short answer.

Mourinho eat yer heart with that tactic if true). Still can't defend a lead, still can't keep a clean sheet, and apparently unfit despite being fresh from a pre-season training camp. On a total downer for the start of the season, couldn't give a fuck to be honest. Absolutely raging.

Wonder what McCalls excuses will be this time? Were Aberdeen and st Johnstone lacking in match sharpness when the beat better teams than this? Much needed revenue missed out on yet again! 5 goals conceded over 2 games against a part time team. Team selections, substitutions and only starting with 1 striker need to be questioned. Not good enough, not even close.
