I would love to be proved wrong but McHugh as a first choice striker gives me the fear.

What strikers do we have that Clarkson is too similar too? It's not Sutton. Does he mean McHugh or Erwin? If by "too similar" he means "no better" then that's another thing completely.

I'm considering the charter as I don't have a lot of annual leave to spare. Will have to wait and see how much it is though.

Re Clarkson. If he's capable of showing the form he showed in his last 2 seasons then it's a no brainer for me. Always liked Clarkson and I am a bit of a sucker for former favourite players returning. I also believe he's the only player fit to wear the number 10 for us. It certainly would grate to see him play for another Scottish team.

From what I've seen of him of late Clarkson hasn't even been making an impact in league 2 in England. He'll always hold a special place in Motherwell's history but I honestly don't think he'd be able to do a job for us any more.

£25 is quite dear but I'm happy enough to pay it as seeing us play in Europe isn't something we shouldn't take for granted. As frazzle said, you'd like to think a fiver, at six weeks notice, wouldn't put fans of from attending. The club is skint, desperately so. Partly because of missing the gates and hospitality from doing the right thing re Newco and partly because those in charge of the game are not fit for purpose and haven't secured a league sponsor and a decent tv deal. A few more fans coming through the turnstiles would go a long way but many feel they are bring priced out (which is tragic if these guys are desperate to go to the games) and the rest can't be arsed for whatever reason.

Lasley and Hammell are exactly the type of players rangers should've been going for at the moment. Quality players even at spl level, out of contract and could've doubled or trebled their wages. Thankfully never materialised though.

It's all very worrying indeed. I've said before if the floating fan isn't encouraged to come back and watch us in the periods of fantastic consistency and top end finishes then what WILL make them come back?!?! I honestly thought the return if faddy would put a few more on the gate at least. I don't think any Motherwell fan expects and 2nd place finish every season. Or at least they shouldn't! I think, for the long term future all of us would except a few mid table (but still top 6 for financial reasons) if it meant the medium term future was a bit more secure. Although we all hate them (and have really enjoyed laughing at them) it would be best if rangers came up ASAP. That would at least mean the gates would be increased and surely therefore mean the league would have a sponsor and a better tv deal secured. Doncaster etc should still get tae though! We probably need to sell anier in January or the summer and any other sellable asset punted also.
