That's an excellent crowd.

Delighted we got the win. Should've maybe started with that team at Tannadice? Gunnar hasn't done too much wrong lately actually. Pity Utd got that equaliser or 3rd minimum could've been sewn up. Feel better than I did this time last week!
-
Perhaps. Although even if we win and Utd win too we'll need to beat Inverness on Wednesday also. I'm up for it but have the fear due to the amount of goals we have been conceding. This end of season run has "spectacular collapse" written all over it. Hope to be proved wrong.
-
Well, possibly apart from that bit!
-
Steelboy is 100% right here.
-
In fairness though, what did MJC say there that wasn't 100% accurate? Our defence IS a shambles (11 goals conceded in 3 games) and they HAVE hit some form. I don't think it's at all negative to suggest we will struggle in this game.
-
Who knows? Depends whether we play a centre half at right mid and no left sided player at midfield whatsoever I suppose.... Going to need to score 3 goals as per to get anything from this. Either way not confident based on the last few performances.
-
Decided to put myself through the pain of watching the highlights. If I thought it all looked bad at the time!!! McManus and Hutchy were all over the shop! Shocking stuff. I thought I felt bad leaving Fir Park after the Killie game! Then Love Street topped that, and I think Tannadice might have topped that! Wretched run of results and performances.
-
I would rather win 3-2 as well, but we're not, we're losing 5-1, 3-2 and drawing 3-3! In fact, we're having to score 3 goals in most games in order to get anything from the game! It's unsustainable and most weeks understandably unmanageable.
-
On paper on defence is more than decent looking yet I'm struggling to remember a season where we've conceded so many goals. What are the reasons for shipping so many goals all season? And not just to the good sides. Hibs, St Mirren and Thistle have all put 3 past us in games!
-
Not conceding 3 goals every single game.
-
I think you're right, but it's not been difficult for teams to score against us this season. Even the supposed bad ones.
-
Aberdeen can drop all the points they want, we aren't capable of taking advantage of it. I think Ross County and Hearts are the only teams not to have scored 3 goals or more in a game against us this season.
-
An absolutely shameful display. Embarrassing. Game was lost before a ball was even kicked with that ridiculous lopsided line up but the lack of effort and the way we were torn apart was humiliating. The amount of goals we have conceded this season is absolutely staggering and it hasn't shown any signs of improving. No one player can hold their head up after that.
-
Absolute garbage. Getting torn to shreds. Too slow, too flat and seemingly not up for this massive game. Not good enough. I thought we'd seen the last of us playing with no wide left player? Need changes at half time but will probably wait till it's 3-0 Could've pretty much had 3rd place seen up with a win today but it's not the Motherwell way to do it the easy way...
-
The performance and result against Celtic came from out of nowhere and another similar one on Saturday should be enough to see us emerge with at least a point. With Motherwell you never know though and as stuttering as Utd appear to have been of late, they've had the measure of us the past 2 meetings.

Stokes fell over for the slightest of contact. Effectively it was cheating, but thankfully justice was done. Would it have been given up the other end? It really was a fantastic save by Gunnar.

I didn't think the attendance was that bad yesterday. Our home attendances against the two arse cheeks are never noticeably bigger as a lot if fans can't be arsed with the grief of wading through the vermin before and after the games. That said, its a long running gripe of mine, but have been shot down before on here for moaning about the non attendees at other games. I appreciate that the cost, sky tv and inconvenient kick off times can play a part but the team realistically can't do anymore than they already are to encourage folk to come along. If the stay away fans aren't going to be encouraged back by the past 5 or 6 years of consistent to fantastic performances then sadly I don't think they ever will. I rather naively thought that Faddy re-signing would put a fair whack on the gates....
-
That's a major blow for the run in.
-
Cannae see anything other than a resounding defeat here. Hopefully it won't be heavy one though. Still, the St Mirren and Killie results are going to have more of a bearing than this games. Lasley out. Is Hammell out too? What about Faddy and Carswell? Going to need a real shift from everyone if we're to even keep the score respectable. Then there's Neilsen......
-
We've blew 2nd spot with the last 2 Saturday results, that much is certain in my opinion. Difficult to tell how many we'll get because of injuries and any suspensions and what team we'll be able to field for each game. I know football doesn't work like this, but difficult to see how we're going to get points of the better teams with so much at stake when we've capitulated against Hibs, Killie and St Mirren (who are all murder!) in recent weeks. I think we'll get 1 at the least and 7 at the very most. Ever the optimist me!

That's one of the worst penalties I've ever seen in terms of where it was placed. I'd never thought I'd expect a keeper to do better with a penalty but ..... For their 3rd the ball went straight under him from the tightest of angles. You're really looking for the keeper to stop a shot from there. Sutton lost his man defending a corner once again at their first goal. Lost his man for the recent goals conceded to Hearts and Ross County also. I know the penalty decision is horrendous, but we didn't do ourselves any favours here, and it's the same mistakes over and over again.
-
The award of that penalty yesterday was as clear an example of match fixing as you're ever likely to see and he and it would appear that he has previous.

I posted earlier that I believe it's the cardinal sin in football (in my opinion) to lose a game you were 2-0 up in, but I'm struggling to think of the last time we actually were guilty of it. I believe we may even have to go back as the mid 90's and a game v Partick Thistle at Fir Park? We did throwaway at 2 goal lead 3 times v Utd in the infamous 5-4 game round about 2006..... Penalty decision was scandalous though and as much as I thought we were poor all game, McCall s right, it really did cost us 3 points. My heart sank when I saw Brines coming on at ht. Bottled it in not sending Goodwin off for second bookable offence as well. Ineptitude personified. He's had it in for us for years.
-
Cardinal sin in football to lose a game from being 2-0 up. Nearly did it Easter Road as well. Shat in the nest for the 2nd week running. Not sure what the game plan was today but surely cutting out crosses coming in should be addressed surely? It's also frankly embarrassing losing to a St Mirren team like that in such a manner. That's the last time I'll be back at the ground. Stewards and police were an absolute disgrace. Wading in at half time cos someone had a bag ?!?! Sniffer dogs?!?! Multiple ticket checks only metres after you had bought the ticket?!? Heavy handed and complete double standards with regards to other travelling supports. The attitude of some of the bois (and girls) didn't do anything to endear them to other Well fans at times though. Goading some who had previously politely asked them to sit down after we scored etc. Horrendous day all round.
