  1. Killie v st mirren had 5,500 there today and Inverness v Ross county had 4,500 yesterday so steak pie dinners, timing etc must effect Motherwell fans more than others.... Our crowds are embarrassing, it doesn't matter which way you splice it. The above mentioned would kill for our current and recent years form as well.
  2. Magnificent performance, every single player excelled and it was a joy to watch. Couldn't pick a man of the match as everyone really was that good. I'd like to see McManus's volley again. Would be an embarrassing mistake if the ref/linesman got that wrong just like the Hibs game last season. Nae excuses. At least it didnt prove costly. I actually thought St Johnstone looked quite good and it wasn't until we scored our 3rd that I sorted of started to relax! Can't stand Murray Davidson and Fraser Wright and no surprise both of them get n quite a few cynical fouls. Pair of dirty gets. Wonder what will happen to the goalie? Would be a shame if he left and the run ended. Obviously. Is it a coincidence this great run has coincided with a confident and capable keeper in goals? Only downside of yesterday was the crowd. Really really poor. If we want to keep Ainsworth, Anier etc then folk are going to have to turn up. The cup exit is in the past, the players and management have responded wonderfully, it's time for the fans to do their bit. I don't buy the "money, time of year, other options" excuses. Every other clubs fans are just the same yet we've probably got the worst crowds in the league. Anyway, good times.
  3. Will Faddy be fit enough to play/start so soon after the Thistle game?
  4. It would be greedy to expect another win, and with the run we've been on I'd take a point to keep things ticking over.
  5. Oh ye (me) have little faith!! Honestly didn't expect that one and my worst fears looked to be released when Thistle started very brightly and took the lead with a good goal. When you watch the highlights though Vigurs is really lazy and just lets Lawless run past him and get the finish away! A turning point may have been a great save from the Lawless long range effort. If that had went in then it may have been a different game. As others have said it was great to see Faddy looking easily the best he has looked all season and hopefully we can play him through the middle more. He is wasted/ineffective on the wing anyway. His dipping shot from the throw in and header of the bar were great efforts. I/we have often being critical that McCall has no "plan B" but the formation yesterday proves otherwise, although I still think Carswell at right back isn't something I'd like to see too much! He did well though. Great win and the league table makes great reading although I think the placing will change from week to week! Great to be apparently "murder" (often my own words) and yet still be 2 points ahead of Aberdeen who are having their best season in 15 years and apparently have an annual wage bill of several million for the pleasure! Pleasing. I though the ref was quite poor. Especially the decision to give the could against Faddy when he outmuscled the defender to go clean through. Also, no-one has picked up on what I thought at the time was a terrible and cynical late elbow on Lasley by Higginbotham.
  6. What will the back 4 be if McManus is also out along with Hutchinson?
  7. I actually have a sneaking suspicion we'll lose this one as well! A draw wouldn't be a terrible result.
  8. You absolute fucking beauty!!!!! Get it right up them!!!
  9. So who's playing on the left then? Bizarre/lopsided/unbalanced midfield to say the least! Negativity aside, it is a reasonable comment I'd say.
  10. All I want for Christmas is to bear these cunts today. Absolutely detest them and their deluded fans. Sadly cannae see it though. Expecting a 3-0 (maybe more?!?!) defeat.
  11. Our crowds were piss poor the last 2 seasons when we were riding high/signing Faddy and despite us not being great earlier in the season the crowds were round about the same! That's an awful crowd yesterday, but I think we can't underestimate how sickened folk were/are with the 2 cup exits and have voted with their feet. I just hope they come back! Utd (and Aberdeen) have much bigger supports than us, and it's quite noticeable when they string a few results together as they all come out the woodwork only to disappear like snow off a dyke when the bubble bursts.
  12. Cannae grumble with that at all! Hopefully a good confidence boost for all concerned.
  13. Ha ha! Indeed. Done their chances no harm now!!
  14. I remember that one as well! I must just have a mental block when it initially comes to remembering victories v St Mirren at Fir Park!
  15. Oh aye, I remember that now actually.
  16. For as long as I can remember St Mirren have been supposedly murder and certainly finished low in the league, yet have always taken points at Fir Park, even against really good Motherwell teams and I can see Saturday being no different. When was the last time we best them at Fir Park incidentally? When Bob Malcolm scored with his baws?!
  17. Great to get the win. Apparently a game of 2 halves.
  18. I would like to see us at least avoid defeat. That's about as much enthusiasm as I can muster!
  19. Folks wives no letting them spend the money is the biggest reason I know for folk no joining.
  20. Good points Melvin. Looking at that team line up depresses me!
  21. You really have to wonder how bad things will get before the police actually get off their arses and do something? And yet were extra police not drafted in from Ibrox to deal with 20 fans and a drum doing fuck all at Love Street?! Giving the apparent impression that order MUST be maintained at all costs?! Is it any wonder ordinary fans/ people hate them and mistrust them! No wonder so many of us were delighted at the kicking Celtic fans took in Amsterdam and the resulting reaction from the Celtic fans of utter disbelief were they weren't allowed to get away with their usual pish!
  22. The thing that worries me the most is the crowds plummeting. Our attendances are meagre even when the team is playing well. The last couple of seasons they really didn't go up much even although we were high in the league the full campaign and I honestly believed "stay away" fans who only come out for cup finals and euro games would return when Faddy was re -signed. Shows you what I know! There's apathy in the stands at the moment to the cup exit and when the team don't even give a reaction in the following game and the managers words don't offer any comfort then I can see the following weeks attendances hitting new lows. This combined with the loss of revenue from the early cup exit is very worrying.
  23. Would be delighted to have Murphy back.
  24. I'd say there is plenty to play for. A place in the top 6 is an absolute must and that has to be the aim. We have an 8 point advantage over Hibs in 7th and we must look to keep the gap between ourselves and 7th as wide as possible.
