  1. whilst i do feel a wee bit edgy about the amount of time gannon spends fighting battles with the press / spl / sfa etc .. i pretty much think you're spot on El Grew. gannon has my backing on this out of interest .. the discipline tables make interesting reading right now: Team Yellow Cards Motherwell 18 Celtic 22 Hamilton 23 Kilmarnock 23 St Johnstone 23 St Mirren 23 Dundee Utd 26 Rangers 27 Falkirk 28 Hearts 29 Hibernian 30 Aberdeen 32 Team Red Cards Dundee Utd 6 Hearts 5 Aberdeen 5 Rangers 3 St Mirren 3 Kilmarnock 1 Hibernian 1 Celtic 1 Hamilton 1 Motherwell 0 St Johnstone 0 Falkirk 0
  2. that win against hearts is startin to feel like a long long time ago eh
  3. I think we're going to put an end to this drawing streak we're on .. and we're going to do that with a sneaky win ... 2-1 to the well
  4. absolutely no shadow of doubt about it ... that WAS our "put them to the sword" moment and we were wrongly robbed of it. strangely the rest of the bad decisions made during the game didn't have a huge bearing on the outcome. the offside decision was by far the most important of the lot and we missed out on the win because of it. sure we should have put away other chances and should have defended better for their second - but if we're going to complain about the officials - this was the clincher.
  5. soooo frustrating with this game and last week against aberdeen .. and numerous other occasions ... these are not bad results it's the manner of the results that hurts to be fair it sounded like we came pretty close on a few occasions to killing it off today ... but in the end it's the same old story disappointing

spot on rammer .. we're lucky that the only winners today were StJ, Falkirk and Rangers so no real ground lost but it would have been nice to make some progress in the table today. not a bad result.

woohoo! .. mon the well! murphy just went close too .. cleared off the line
  19. good to see fir park chosen as a venue for the diddy-cup semi final between hearts and st mirren. although .. since rangers are a glasgow team it would seem more sensible [and fair] to play their match with StJ at fir park and have the other game at hampden. i suppose they need to allow for the tens of thousands of fans rangers will bring to such an occasion though
  20. that's just about spot on for me .. whether the press should or shouldn't speculate like this is another matter. i'm 100% behind Jim - I really believe we'd struggle to find a manager better suited to our club than him. but i do think this one got away from him a bit - it was either conceived badly - or he was caught off guard. no-one's perfect as I said in another thread - it's worth remembering that the stockport fans on this forum told us to expect some unusual press interaction - and to be honest I'm just glad we're discussing this rather than relegation threats!
  21. I see your point haggis ... to be honest though I was very surprised that Gannon was so frank about this whole clearout business in the first place ... almost as if he was daring the press to speculate. anyway .. still watchin the game here on alba .. looked like obrien and the duke were pretty lively in the first half and looked like a clear penalty to me. spose forbes was bound to miss one sooner or later but it was a pooooor effort i'm afraid.
