and actually i think empty grounds around the country for the second half would be a pretty clear way to protest without overly damaging the already poor income for the clubs on match-day.

god this is getting depressing. in fact it's a shameless kick in the teeth for just about every football fan in the country. will they never learn? a part of me [a very small part!] hopes we end up in the second tier so we can at least play some different teams for a while.

Wow .. ! What a great read this thread is! I only just found out on Christmas Day there that my grandfather [who lived near Carluke] was a Rangers fan. Apparently when the grandchildren [inc me] came along my grandmother made him throw out all his evil h*n records and to my memory it was never mentioned after that! Thanks Gran! my dad and uncle started going to see the Well in the 60s and my brother took me to my first Well game in 1979 [i think] at home to Ayr ... I would only have been 5 or 6 and i got hit square in the face by the ball during the pre-match warm-up and Stuart Rennie came into the crowd and gave me a cuddle. And that was that.

I'm guessing this is just a DNS issue. When a website moves to a new server .. the directories around the world get updated .. some quicker than others ... those still seeing the old site are being served by directories which havent updated yet. This is perfectly normal and is usually ironed out within 48 hours. FWIW I see the new site .. but as others have said it's currently very slow.

happy enough with this news .. it was clear early on we were going to have to take a chance on somebody and the more i read about mccall the more i'm eager to see what he can do at motherwell. 100% behind him will be interesting to see who #2 will be.

when did it become gospel that the ref said, "Get tae fuck" .. ??? i've watched the clip over and over again like everyone else and .. yeah .. he might have said that .. but he could just as easily have said "Get off!" it's irrelevant anyway because regardless of what he said .. it's one man's word against another .. and that's going nowhere. the referee was very poor ... so what's new? for what it's worth i still think SJ [and the referee] had nothing to do with it and the whole thing will ultimately be dismissed. unless new details come out about bigger bets.

i tend to agree cakes ... i think this will eventually be dismissed [possibly in several months time?] ... i'm guessing the odds were high because there were only 8 minutes left .. but even so .. who wouldn't be tempted with those odds in a pretty fiery game involving hearts? seems mental.

nae bov ... thing is .. i don't think the club will [or can] say anything until they know some facts .. and SJ sayin "wizny me" is not a fact. what else can they find out right now? if he's guilty the club are going to want to distance themselves as much as possible from him so i can't see them making any official statements of support anytime soon.

i hope you're right gaag. however the club have already said a few things: "Motherwell had earlier announced that they will not be appealing against the red card shown to Jennings" "Motherwell stated that he was sent packing for foul and abusive language and that the midfielder had apologised to O'Reilly and his team-mates after the match." and to be fair I think they were fairly outspoken about the Brown mess. in fact after their statement that brown was staying they might feel inclined to shut up.

apparently 2 bets .. one in liverpool one in manchester. bet was on there being a sending off. not specifically for jennings.

would be a rematch surely if it was the ref? dont like the sound of this liverpool connection tho ....
