Craig Reid not the most skillful but a 100% man and will fill in almost anywhere he's asked to
-
After possibly the worst first half you will see from a professional team, it was credit to the manager for the 2nd half turnaround with 10 men. Reid and Kerr did ok as a makeshift centerback pairing, better looking than O'Brien and Laing. The new guy Straker looks like a left back not a winger and improved when Thomas came on. Law is a right back just leave him there please. St Johnstone came out the blocks chasing everything and closing us down and we were not up to the pressure, the midfield was non existent. either in a creative or defensive way. In the 2nd half our possession and passing of the ball was better and Thomas running with the ball was committing players sure he loses it a lot but his play created the goal not forgetting a great strike from Sutton. Great point to recover from the 10 men and first half nightmare

Who's betting Vigurs has caught Lawson's cold I'd be surprised if we ever see these wage thiefs again
-
Should Willie Colum be allowed to referee the game he was suspended/demoted for a couple of games after his howlers at St Mirren and us, surely we have to object. Can you see that happening to the old firm without anything being said?
-
For me Lasley has ran our midfield for years if he played well we won, sure he's a year older but the stick he has been getting on here is a joke, How can you compare him to chocolate Lawson who's played a handful of games and seems to be always injured. Main failure is lack of any other workers and or decent wide men. As for the defence it is a joke
-
Sorry rubbish last year or not you don't go from 2nd to bottom just like that with the same players.
-
Was never keen on him coming back anyway only really did it when he arrived in the January. It's s pity we kept O'Brien as well I'm not a fan sorry. Total clean out required
-
It was very poor till Thomas came on and wanted to take his man on rather than lump to ball clear, however Baraclough has said that pressure and passing play is his philosophy so let's see how that develops he's only been in charge for 4 games. Let's give them a break you can't throw all the young players on at once the experienced players are the ones that need to step up, for me today we saw how the likes of Ainsworth has had so many clubs he hid all day. We need players to move into space to receive passes , I'm afraid it's a very lazy bunch we have Aberdeen constantly had men running off the ball creating at times we would have been as well having police cones out there. A lot of work on the training ground required just to survive this season
-
Lets hope Baraclough can get us creating the chances that he can put away, and not the hopeful long ball flick on's (please)
-
Ainsworth is another that can't/ wont cover, but has an eye for a goal he has the ability you saw it when he was looking for a contract but once he got it his performances went down. Hopefully a new manager will get him playing and scoring for us, but so many clubs in his career speaks for itself. Even with his cameo appearances still more creative than Vigurs

Assists for the opposition or us?

Mind and no let the door hit yer arse on the way oot

It was so obvious that they had two players no 7 and 30, when Carey came on we were screwed apart from 5 mins when law came over to cover Ferguson and Ainsworth went over to the other wing. After we went up we were needed to cover these 2 what did we do put on Erwin. Its obvious Black has no idea of tactics. Which combined with last weeks subs proves the point he should do the honorable thing and leave as McCall did his influence can only be damaging. As for Vigurs a player we cant afford to carry in a dogfight, i hope we have seen the last of him. Need a good wide midfielder that can replace Ainsworth who is a threat and would be better up top but useless covering back, long ball to Sutton needs to be ditched asap. Just my opinion first half today was the worst of the season
-
Glad to welcome our new Manager all the best Iain, onwards and upwards great to here someone talking us up instead of the negative comments we've heard for the last few years
-
If Kenny Black can not cme out and say I'd love the job then his heart is not in it he should be discarded asap
-
We need someone new and fresh not a failed manager from Hibs or Kilmarnock

Best first half by a mile, first time i have seen anything in Lawson, but with him fit and playing like that we would be a different side. His passing was outstanding and created out best passages of play. The way he went off he it looked as if we wont see him anytime soon. 2nd half united turned the screw and Ojamma , Angol combo disappeared completely. Lasley ran himself into the ground, making up for the usual lazy Vigurs who also disappeared. Part of the problem is we get very few runners from midfield getting past Sutton, who took some pelters but won more than his fair share of flicks and knock downs. United's many one on ones came from there midfielders running on to balls As everyone has said Twardzik was outstanding. To get done at too set pieces was gutting. Sutton and Angol to blame poor marking from what i saw
-
Why are so many on here praising Vigurs like he's the greatest player build a team round him, your joking, he leads to us loosing as many goals as he creates, unfortunately Ainsworth leaves us so exposed as well. Good sub at the right time last night bringing on Law or there full back would surely have scored.

McCall is a guy with great integrity who has given us some great seasons at the top end of the league, all the best in the future.
-
Were getting what we deserve with all this talk were a wee team" punching above our weight for so long", if you say it enough people believe it as do the players, manager etc. Who's saying Hamilton are a wee crap team punching above there weight not heard a word spoken like that about them its all about the young players they bring through sell on and make money. As has been said before there's more wrong than just McCall, when we were doing well last year we should be biging our self up not like we seem to have been for years, just thankful to be playing in the big league!
-
This is a great opportunity for McCall to prove his worth when the going gets tough, this is now when he's tested and the first time since he took over I'm looking forward to see how he picks the team up and turns this around, whether its new players or tactics, he tried a few of our backup players against Hamilton and we all know how that ended. So as he's said you need to know the players you can rely on to put in a shift, the players don't all become shit overnight and we did not have a huge turnover last summer. Injuries have played a big part in our season start, what is the new physo doing, i don't believe its a coincidence since Porteous left. Also i think the 2nd position last year got some players thinking they are better that they are and are not working hard enough for the team. Lets get behind the team, manager and club.

Wasn't at the game today but I'd hunt Lawson now as a defensive midfielder he's not got a clue too easly robbed in dangerous positions as last week proved. Last year lasley ran the midfield and if he played well we usually won , I believe he's the key guy who has been off form if his legs are going then get him to play in front of the back 4 and run with carswell and leith in front of him. We can't hold the ball up front so the punt to Sutton is a waste of time we need to play with Ojama up front and try and pass the ball, The other problem is who to play out wide Ainsworth is great if he's interested but I think he's a 45 min guy. I'd be temped to try Reid on the right and we still don't have anyone for the left unless Thomas is any good "never seen him". Stick Angola and Vigers on the bench.

how can someone vote for Ojamaa
-
I thought we had to pay Celtic if the boy Thomas plays 5 games - 50K which we dont have

What are the off-field cracks affecting the playing staff
