Get Van Veen off now
-
Goss's biggest critic but he's playing well today its a good open game
-
Kelly - Scotland 3rd choice keeper atm
-
My take on it the Ref and VAR had a decent game, both goals onside, Slattery cost us with his needless foul for the first goal and getting sent off for a flaling arm. Not a bad performance against a decent Rangers team we gave them a game. Thought Van Venn was excellent today. Rangers were the better team and deservedly won on the day we move on
-
Anyone else notice how Liam Kelly's distribution has taken a nosedive. When he first arrived it was a strong part of his game now its terrible. is that a lack of coatching or captianing the team taking his eye off the ball
-
We aint going to score today then

-
Did you
-
Should be the top Scottish talent in midfield by now, not sitting on the bench, playing in a two team league
-
I'm sure he had other options which i believe would have made him as financially secure if not more so. His career has stalled sitting on the bench its not helping his development he should be one of Scotlands top midfielders by now, and i believe if he was getting regular games in EPL he would be recognised as that, alas he may never fulfill his potential
-
Said at the time it was the worst move for him he would be a star down south. Badly advised i'm afraid
-
Undoubtedly better with support that Hammel denied him
-
He's our best midfielder just some on here can't see by where he came from
-
Casey was great today MOM
-
Subs required now
-
Kelly's made a couple of good saves, Slattery and Goss are poor together but we know that. Casey's been good at the back. Defiantly not a penalty clearly got the ball. We had a couple of half chances. Could go anyway
-
Part of the point is Ramsay and Hickey were playing for the first team not loaned out, if he was given a proper chance why would he not have wanted to be tied down it happens at other clubs its a pity you can't see it
-
According to transfermarket Hearts made 1.7 million for Hickey and Aberdeen made 4.9 million for Ramsay. I take it they were not development fees Sorry i have to disagree its poor from the club to not have there assets tied down. I have no problem with players leaving because we are a development and selling club. BUT we must ensure we get value which in this case looks like we won't so who's fault is that then What about treating your better assets like Alan Campbell or Turnbull i.e play them i the first team and let them find their level, i think we've all got a fairly good idea what level McGuire and Cornelius are and i don't expect to make fortunes out of them, lets face it when Johnston was getting farmed out who thought that he would have been a good sellable asset we hardly saw him in the first team to judge. The path to first team from Motherwell Youths is nowhere near as clear as some would make out just look at our last managers failings from his words when he was appointed and many on here want him back running the academy
-
What's Dundee Utd got to do with our inability to sign up a youth player with potential to a longer contract. I'd say that we failed to recognise his potential as we constantly loaned him out for development with out ever really believing he would make anything of it as is the way, unless were desperate very few youths break straight through to our first team despite managers spouting shit to us about bringing through youths (as did Hammel) and also Kettlewell but he's still to be judged. As I've said before on here Robinson's ass was saved by Turnbull who only got a chance because of the desperate position we were in and I'd class Turnbull as exceptional and a once in a generation player who should have been in our team at least a year before he was. He unfortunately is being wasted at Celtic and should be looking to move on ASAP. Quality players under 20 must be promoted to play first team asap to aid their development everyone is not a late bloomer. You should be able to tell their quality within 6 months then if there is no development they can get farmed out for contract to run down It looks very much like the way Jake Hastie was farmed out had a good couple of months with us and moved on for Dev Fee only
-
Bologna paid £3 million for Ferguson who now is wanted by Juventus 900k for Hickey who they sold for up to 18m and we're only looking at 200k for development fee for Johnston. There been some mismanagement with player contracts when we don't have this guy tied down and were left with rejects like McGinlay who gets a new contract and is worth two packets of fags and an old Beano.
-
I'd take him back in a minute
-
He got very few opportunities thtu the middle for us which is his position. You have got to say it smacks of poor management not player
-
Good point of a joke of a pitch
-
Kelly and Goss again
