  1. In the heat of the moment it's easy to lose sight of this. PLEASE David tell them to get tae ....
  2. I was quite resigned to losing him in the summer. It's the timing of the transfer that has me perplexed. Again, no need to sell to service the debt, so why the desperation, unless as others have pointed out it's to try and lure the big hitters from south of the border into making trumping bids.
  3. Apparently they did, but my irrational side doesn't recognise those as legitimate offers, in the grand scheme of things
  4. Unless there is a release clause, then yes in my eyes it's a gamble worth taking. As weeyin consistently points out - there is no pressing reason to sell to reduce the existing debt. We are in a good place financially at the moment - the board should have stood firm, if there wasn't a release clause.
  5. Possibly mate - emotions - mine in particular are running sky high at the moment.
  6. The only pish, is the pish you're spouting. No need to do anything at this time. They certainly haven't maximised any return on our most sellable asset, they've accepted the first offer that's come along, how that can be construed as "maximising our return", is beyond me. Wait and see what pans out with other potential buyers, then you are maximising our return.
  7. There's another 2 months till the window closes FFS, why sell now. Why take the first bid that's tabled. Total fucking sell-out and typical of our board, throughout our history.
  8. Absolutely fucking disgusted - I hope it's been done as a previous poster said to flush out other potential suitors - if not then the Board can fuck right off. Caved in at the first reasonable offer and that's all it is if reports are correct.
  9. Except by you - I'd be willing to bet
  10. That must be some kind of record. Ink is hardly dry on the contract
  11. I appreciate they are a Championship club, was just surprised by their surprise inclusion. Certainly not the most fashionable of clubs - though I'm sure Dickie Bird and Michael Parkinson would disagree. I'm sure there will be clubs with a better pedigree circling as I type. That is certainly a dodgy practice, but I doubt they're the only club "darn sarf" that are operating in similar waters. Definitely a case of £3 million, then we might talk - no guarantees mind. Hope Flow remembered to keep Liewell in the loop and told him to do one - politely of course.
  12. Definitely - had similar thoughts and would have loved to watch him in C&A for a little longer, but if not's to be, then I'm happy for the bidding war to be frantic and frenzied, and that the Dhims are ruled out after the first round.
  13. Ah crap I had my flight already booked
  14. According to SSN - 7 released and a further 7 returning to their parent clubs
  15. Isn't that precisely what could happen with Hastie - solution likely to be a Tribunal.
  16. Thankfully he's not 'open to offers' - the club is mind you and I doubt that "Der h*n" will even be close to the teams bidding for his services.
  17. It will happen - happened on Saturday at Hamilton.
  18. That Shaun Reynolds boy really slipped under the radar
  19. Almost certain it was the first of 3 quarter-final games in 1975/76 season - the final game being played at neutral Ibrox, amid protests from us that because of a widespread bug we wouldn't be able to field a full team - made no difference still managed a victory. Then there was JPR Gordongate
