  1. Great how opinions differ - haven't played on it and I'm unlikely to - waiting for a replacement hip . The players yesterday - particularly ours - certainly seemed more sure-footed and comfortable than in any of the previous games I've seen at that midden on their previous pitch. Don't think it was any co-incidence that Frear was able to comfortably move the ball at pace along the wing , safe in the knowledge that it wouldn't 'run away from him' which it most certainly would have previously. But as I say all about opinions
  2. They installed a new one in the summer past - huge improvement over their last pitch and miles ahead of anything else artificial in Scotland at the moment. Watch a lot of games on it - niece plays for Accies Ladies - and it's night and day from the old one. Thought it played out like a grass pitch yesterday, very consistent and not the same fiery bounce of others past or present.
  3. How long have you been attending games - been like that since the late 60's - perhaps slightly more even when they were at the original Douglas Park, but by and large we've always outnumbered them.
  4. He should have been, but I'm surprised even at the booking, because the Ref didn't actually see the incident and only reacted after the roar from the crowd. He was facing the other way, as happened with several missed decisions today.
  5. Really wish he had - Sutton is a typical arrogant, domineering 'old firm' fanatic. Sutton was correct in his observations on the incidents in question, but clearly accepting that someone might have an alternative view point, is beyond his limited intelligence. To deliberately, mock and attempt to demean a fellow commentator says it all about him - a f.....g wanker of the highest order.
  6. You’ve clearly got such a boner for Celtic why don’t you fuck off to Parkhead rather than professing you’re preference for them here at every opportunity. No need to have a favourite for either half of the arse cheeks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Good luck to the Ladies today in their Cup Final. Will be very difficult against a very strong Hibs side.
  8. Yip - close the thread Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. " LOL forget the flowery language - it was f...n rubbish for much of his tenure - not dissimilar to what we are witnessing at the moment. Jeez there were weekly calls for his head at times and I remember the current proprietor of the 100 Club and his family unveiling a banner "McLean Must Go" - regularly at the front of the Hunter Stand.
  10. Refreshing to say the least - well drilled and all players looked comfortable, not only in possession but in their respective postions. No one shoe-horned into an unfamiliar position. Can't disagree with most of the comments regarding the players who stood out, but I also thought our No14 (Akeal Rehman) had a very assured game. Quick feet, skilful, strong when he needed to be and a nice crisp passer of the ball. All in a very enjoyable afternoon. - Well done Stephen and Stephen.
  11. Just for a little levity and a totally neutral commentary on yesterday’s game. This is the Alba cameraman in the Cooper just before halftime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. At least Frear is a 'one-trick pony', Cadds lost his 'trick' a while ago and that basically makes him a 'pony' and not even a very good one at that - irrespective of where on the pitch he is played. Not much better than his old man when he played.
  13. I haven't deemed LMcC to be anything but a 'rabid h*n' for a long while now and pay no heed to any of his inane ramblings. Funny how we all see things differently - the sad thing is these f..kwits actually believe it.
  14. Sounds like he has a grudge against Robinson, if not the Club in general. Perhaps our 'Cheeky Boy' doesn't quite have the affection for our club that some thought he had . I think Richard Gordon was astonished by his remarks as well.
  15. Every one clamouring for Bigi to be given a start. He gets one and guess what, we launch the ball over his head for 90 minutes. Looks like Big Mick has been given the job of pre-season preparation, because all our back three want to launch 50 and 60 yards diagonals and balls to strikers that either can't jump, or only want to try and muscle the opposition. Utterly pathetic and it's going to be a long hard season.
  16. Need to add another £500,000+ before it breaks our record fee - Phil O'Donnell to Celtic.
  17. Hi Iain - just dropped £30.00 to your PayPal. Hope your getting close to your target.
  18. ............................ and clearly you do . It's been 'hoof ball' in the first 3 competitve matches of this season no matter how you want to dress it up and it's shit to watch into the bargain .
  19. Why the f..k would you want to do that - spend the hour and a half on "It's a Small World" ride.
  20. You could also add Cardiff, Doncaster and Ross County to that list
  21. Certainly can't have helped any rehabilitation.
  22. Was that what caused him to miss a fair chunk of last season. A pity if so, he's a cracking wee player.
  23. Agree totally - just wish it would extend to meet the signing of aforesaid Mr Crawford
