He should be sent packing - not because of what he did yesterday - but just because he's shite. Couldn't care less what players do in their spare time - it's fairly obvious that most if not all, certainly Scottish players, will have allegiances to either Rangers or Celtic, but as long as they do the business ON the park against whichever team they support, they can do whatever they like (within reason) off it. Really nothing to see here.

Wonderful sentiment from Ally and great to see him return to the scene of his greatest moment. Played golf at a corporate day with him a number of years ago and he was a perfect gent throughout - made a big fuss when he found out I was a Motherwell fan. Felt like a kid for the day, I was in total awe lol.

You could well be right Yoshi - just hope the players don't have the same mind set - I'm sure they won't. We get to so few showpiece games, that I find it really strange that the potential next game should have such an effect on the feelings for this one. These are one-off games and as @Squirrelhumper says further back the thread "You never know".

I hope there's more enthusiasm within the squad for this game, than there seems to be among the support. Don't think I've ever witnessed such a 'low-key' build up for a semi-final in all the years I've been following the 'well. Just doesn't seem to be much appetite for the game at all

Thanks Dezz - hardly seems worth the effort, as there was talk when I was in getting my tickets that the buses would likely leave around the 10.30 am mark. Again I've checked the official site and can't see any confirmation of departure times on buses either.

Oh yeah - great memory - particularly the crowd trouble. Not so much the result. Was supposed to meet my uncle and cousin, who had travelled up from Kilmarnock for the game - but never did due to the size of the crowd. Like you this 11 year old was crapping it while the fighting was at it's height - and believe me this was real 'crowd-trouble' toe-to-toe stuff, not the 'pavement dancing' most of us were used to seeing in the '80s. Some of the games particularly versus Killie and Hearts had a real sinister feel to them - pre fence obviously.

Sounds like a huge OG to me - an admittance of guilt before the 'appeal' - or at the least, evidence to back up Thomson's view - strange decision by the club.

I'd rather crowd-fund a 'hitman'.
