  1. People in here have been bemoaning our abilities to compete with St Mirren and Kilmarnock as recently as the January transfer window, yet we want to essentially reduce our capability to match them in financial terms 🤷‍♂️.
  2. Appreciate the sentiment, but not sure how this is going to make us any more competitve with others around us, unless of course they hope to sell another few hundred tickets - I just don't see it.
  3. That's a helluva leap of faith. Theoretically might work, but I don't see it. Hope the club have some historic data that might lead them to this decision.
  4. I don't see how that in anyway helps the club. At least an inflationary rise should be applied.
  5. My dad walked to that game after his Satruday morning shift in the city centre. Got in just before KO and could only get to the top of the East terrace. Said he only saw the ball when it was in the air and had to go to a screening in the Rex the following week to see the goals 🤣
  6. What a memory jerker that is. Dropped my mum and sister off in the city centre - dad in his wisdom decided we would take in the game. First turnstyle he came too was the main stand at the city centre end of the ground. Got in and were surrounded by priests (hundreds of them). My dad's advice? sit on your hands and we both managed it until Pettigrew's winner - he was first out his seat followed quickly by me. Thankfully we got out without too much trouble. The look on their faces as we celebrated was a joy to behold.
  7. That Arbroath game I'm sure was during Roger Hynd's time in charge 1977/78 and was a third round tie. I think we went on a fairly long unbeaten run after he took charge earlier in the year and after beating Arbroath we were drawn at home to an Alan Mackin inspired Queens Park at home in the next round. I was convinced we were going all the way. The draw was concluded as we made our way home and when it was announced on the radio the bus went mental. Then the inevitable doing from Queens Park brought us down to earth - that was the start of the inevitable slide that utlimately cost Hynd his job.
  8. The one and only time, I think the 4 step rule was ever used. Though I might be a little biased in that comment.
  9. Cowdenbeath were our 4th round opponents. Half of Lanarkshire descended on Fife that day.
  10. Please stop this talk of that bastard from Newport on Tay. Costs me a fortune in psychologists fees everytime he’s mentioned 🤣🤬.
  11. You not around during the Covid seasons
  12. Launch that fucking VAR. as I’ve said repeatedly they’re now moving to actively seeking ways to “disallow” goals. Its killing the game and I bet I’m not the only person that’s nearly had enough.
  13. I doubt its anywhere close to that figure, but happy to stand corrected. Will that cost figure not be available from the club accounts? Point I was making is that St Mirren and Kilmarnock's expenditure for Women's teams isn't likely to be any less than ours and isn't necessarily equated to the division they are in. So I would doubt there is any financial advantage.
  14. Kilmarnock have a Women's team, but they are currently in SWPL2. Not sure why being in SWPL has any bearing on their expenditure on that front. St MIrren are in SWPL1.
  15. He actually started the opening game at Elgin.
  16. That comment about his hair, was superb. Had a right "belly laugh" at it.
  17. What a fantastic result. I had given up all hope of beating them again in my lifetime.
  18. This team have put in some shift this afternoon.
