  1. Easy to say when you're in Chicago
  2. Nah definitely not - haven't felt this way (about a new season) for a long while. Competition and strength throughout the squad - with (dare I say it) quality and not just quantity.
  3. Why are people so inconsiderate - don't they know these things should be kept outwith the football season !!!!! 3-1 Motherwell
  4. Because they couldn't fill them.
  5. He was solid and in the absence of Johnson on the left, provide balance to the team. Good performance
  6. Thought at the time it was Chalmers - No???? Yeah just watched highlights - Moult wasn't on at that point - it was Chalmers who got his pocket picked from about a yard
  7. My bad, thought it was a lot less than that. Yeah haven't been since the old Bayview.
  8. That could generate a ticket scramble - don't think their capacity is all that big.
  9. Hope you guys were well gone by the time we arrived on the way back - saw one poor sod take a hell of a leathering outside MacKays Bar on the main street wooofft
  10. Yes, a promising start it has to be said.
  11. On first half performance - Johnson by a country mile (Second half totally faded out of the game) - overall though Keeeeth was the man, gets better and fitter with age.
  12. Lol gawn yoursel wee man - a picture for every occasion ha ha!!!!
  13. Oops sorry thought you meant one who played. That said my grandson identified all the subs who warmed up in front of us, so if there was a trialist he was kept well under wraps.
  14. Not long back. PNE were far better than a mid table SPFL team as suggested by some. Big and physical and quick to move the ball forward. A really good test. Team played well particularly second half, when we played some really nice one touch football, just the final ball was lacking, but promising nonetheless. If Marv and Lionel can carry their form from this game into the season we'll be a thrilling team moving forward. Both Fletcher and Moult offered plenty, but neither were guilty of missing clear cut chances - despite what the twitter feed might have indicated. The chances first half fell predominantly to Johnson, with their keeper carrying off a couple of decent saves. Second half a long range Ainsworth effort and a close range McDonald effort were our best chances (both excellently fielded by the PNE keeper, McDonald's turned onto the post) prior to Moult's excellent finish near the end. Came away very heartened by the performance, particularly as there seem to be plenty of options throughout the squad to change formations and tactics without disrupting the rhythm of the team. Thought Pearo had a triffic last 10 minutes when he took over centre midfield duties from Keith. Young Watt came on as a sub and slotted quite seamlessly into the back four and looked assured, composed and for a fairly short fella good in the air. He can also pick a pass when the need arises, witnessed by several arrow straight deliveries to both Lionel and Marv. Mention to for Jack Leitch who was ever eager to get on the ball and looks to have benefited from the change in fitness regime (looks to have added a yard in pace). All in all quite encouraged by what I saw.
  15. Other than 'Flow - is there anyone else left lol. The number of changes, throughout the club are quite remarkable.
  16. Know what the other strange thing is? You're supposed to be working !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Oh c'mon save me a trawl through the thread - which Leicester boy? lol
  18. Certainly less choreographed, and of course less razzamatazz. @weeyin - I had forgotten about Kendo (oh how could I).
  19. The Royal Brothers, Jackie Pallo, Kent Walton (Commentator) - defo a generation thing. Saturday afternoon World of Sport at 4.00 o'clock. Definitely think that's where the nickname comes from.
