  1. Sad news indeed - my thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
  2. Was that the dyslexic battalion, or the ones who make the porridge?
  3. That's great news. Hope he has a quick recovery
  4. Born and raised in 'God's Country' - Harthill for the unintiated. Dad was a huge 'well fan and followed happily in his footsteps. Went to Caldervale High School, Airdrie for 5 long years - you guys who only had the OF bigots to contend with were lucky (I had them and the shite of Lanarkshire to deal with) - but I held my own - even though my PE teacher was the Airdrie captain at the time - Derek Whiteford. Met him many times after that in the East Stand (sure he was a closet 'well fan). Carried out missionary work in various places throughout Central Scotland and beyond spreading the 'Well gospel - there's even one or two converts up in Elgin beside Special (they used to drink in the Thunderton or High Spirits - if the pubs are still there big fella). Now settled in Whitburn and still trying to preach the gospel according to the steelmen at every opportunity.
  5. The incident in the DC happened just as we were taking our seats - minutes into the game. Can only re-iterate what others have said that the paramedics and medical staff worked on him for what seemed an eternity. CPR and defib throughout. The staff in the box immediately behind pulled down the blinds and moved the kids to another area - these were the young 'well kids who were on the park at half-time. Hope all is well. Anyone know anything further.
  6. Agreed fatcalf and the reason why I posted - it ain't gonna happen though.
  7. Whatever it takes for the club not to be disadvantaged.
  8. Great result - the band wagon keeps rolling along.
  9. F....s sake Al, the board moved me to accomodate the bigot brothers, now you want me to move to Strathy Park just because I'm a grumpy/moany bastard You've taken that too far Just noticed your location - take it your on Missionary work along with AndyP
  10. It was the 'Gorgie' in my day fatcalf. Penned unless I'm wrong by our own SpecialAKA
  11. Now that will be a clever trick - 9 points from the next 3 games (the Hibs game is in the League Cup).
  12. Sure it does - shit it when his wage demands were known - simples
  13. Didn't think it was him that was involved with that Andy - was it not John Clifford (another ex-player, though he spent most of his time in the reserves - in fact maybe all his time)
  14. Thats a lot of pies - even for Flow
  15. Thought the defender was Sammy Hyppia?
  16. You got a source to go with that comment? Otherwise its no more fact than the posts suggesting he might come back.
  17. Good signing. Always thought he was very like Sutton but a little more mobile.
  18. Well done to everyone involved - bit down this morning but that fair cheered me up - here's to next year - though I'm sure I said that in 1991 as well.
  19. That's it - Cup Final weekend begins here and now - off to GAZZAMFC68's for a party and sleep over C'mon 'well lets just do this See you all tomorrow.
  20. You coming on the buses from FP tomorrow - big chum - if so we can raise a glass to Jock and my dad in the Cooper.
  21. The legend who was my dad - travelled the length and breadth of the country in my early years - Stoke, Spurs, Blackburn, Fulham - with him. He's been sorely missed since he passed away 10 years ago, but there is never a game goes by where I don't think about him - Saturday will be no different, though I'm sure I'll choke back a tear as the team enters the stadium. Also have a thought and will raise a glass for my old mucker Davie Fawcett - Coltness, boy would he have enjoyed this - taken all too soon, but he'll be leading the cheering wherever he is.
  22. Calm down dear - its only Alan Rough - what the f..k does he know.
