That's where I disagree, if he is able to at least hold the ball up that will be an upgrade on Fisher. If he can then hold it up and link the play then he'll be an upgrade on big bowman too. I still believe there could be a player in bowman if we can somehow disable his homing device that leads him to the corner flag

Well accidents will happen

Did Willie Falconer miss a penalty on his debut or am I imagining that? Oh for the days before the internet of going to Fir Park under the floodlights and hearing on the radio on your way to the game that you had a new striker. I still remember the buzz I got when I heard we had signed Tommy Coyne on the way to the game

Scottish Premiership Game 15: Celtic (A) 02/12/17 15:00

Brilliant we are being taught about class and dignity by the guy who comments about other teams player's even when his mob aren't even involved in the game. It would appear we have rattled brenda -
I had the goals of the season video from that year and that goal actually got given the title of goal of the season beating a few crackers on the way. As a 9year old that was the first thing I'd seen us 'win' luckily I didn't have to wait too long for that to change.

Voted for dunne today just because if there is a time to have your most assured game for the club a semi-final at hampden would be fairly near the top of the list. Also a lovely assist for king louis's second. Lets be honest moult and carson were the top men with honourable mentions to mchugh and hartley

Scottish Premiership Game 5: Kilmarnock (H) Saturday 09/09/17

And followed up by big bowman who was about 5yds behind him. I said this at the game that typifies the hunger and desire we have had so far this season. -

Fair do's, like I said earlier I respect your opinion as your view normally coincides with my view of a game but you seem to be focusing a lot on the negatives this season, which so far in my opinion hasn't been as bad as we have previously witnessed. Yes there are still the frustrating individual errors at the back, we seem toothless up front without a fully fit moult but for the first time in a while I feel we have a manager who actually has an idea of how he sees us playing as opposed to Baracloughs lets sign as many strikers as we can policy and McGhee's similarly ludicrous ploy with defensive midfielders. Now whether Robinson can get us playing that way or whether he will fail to get any improvement remains to be seen but I see little tiny glimmers of hope that there is the potential to have a decent season. -

Not having a go here as I respect your it's your opinion but have you given steelboy your password recently. Normally after most games I come on here and have a look at everyone's views as we all see the game differently, and for the past few years I've usually (not always) agreed with yourself and Andy P's summaries as neither of you could be classed as happy clappers or pant wetters to use everyone's favourite steelmenisms but everything appears to be a negative at the moment. It's absolutely your right to voice these opinions and I respect that but it seems like you have a real downer on the club and especially Robinson's management at the moment. Again I appreciate that you are worried about the future of the club as you feel we are going backwards but I genuinely don't think we have been anywhere near as bad as we were last year under McGhee's shambles. Anyway back to the game, Carson's red card has to be slowed right down to see it was a wrong decision so I have sympathy with the officials on thay one, McHugh looked like a red to me and Dunne's is just a joke. -

In todays Scottish sun Robinson says the midfielder is 99.9% signed but he won't be announced until next tuesday at the earliest as he's on holiday

What worries me is this much talked about scouting system that we seem to have decided is the way forward. I'm not saying its been a total failure but I don't think its worked out any better(in fact i'd say its been worse) than using traditional methods of actually spotting a player rather than some sort of moneyball rip off. Interesting to note that as far as i'm aware our one really good signing in the summer (McHugh) wasn't scouted using this system and was in fact recommended to the manager by his then assistant who is now of course our manager. This was from an interview that Robinson did as Oldham manager when he talked about how he would have made McHugh his first signing if he hadn't already told McGhee about him.

I can see it from milo's and al's point of view. When I was younger I was definitely in the milo club of letting a defeat leave me in a mood for at least a day as Motherwell were high up in my list of priorities in life. Now I'm older and have kids, there is a lot more perspective regarding a defeat and even after the most gut wrenching defeat at ibrox in the cup, I was gutted and upset for a wee while then the wife and kids came back from wherever they were and it was more or less forgotten about. Cheesy things I never thought I'd say when I was 16 and 17 thread for this pish

I think he may well be out out reach but he certainly would fit in with the policy of development and selling on our youngsters. I certainly hope somebody at the club at least puts the feelers out and if we are knocked back fair enough.

Craigan didn't actually criticise cathro's ability at any point in the argument. His point was that the media seemed to be making out that he was the only modern, forward thinking coach in the scottish game. He did have a dig at him for almost encouraging this viewpoint but to try and put him in the same boat as kris boyd is unfair in my opinion

It was only the minority though -
Ah right, I just saw it yesterday and assumed he had fallen out of favour.

The young Canadian keeper put up a tweet a couple of days ago that due to passport issues he wasnt able to sign so I doubt he'll be one of them. I noticed yesterday that ex Inverness player Marley Watkins had asked to be released by Barnsley. No idea whether or not they allowed him but he would suit the pacey left winger identikit that we appear to be wanting

Let's all start guessing who the ex player who plays in marvins position is. I'll go for Andy Roddie (the only other person to have said this is that ginger excuse for a manager)
