I'm just amazed folk still buy / read papers. circulation figures going down quicker than a granny on an icy morning ! wont be long till they're all free ...like the Metro.

We are a selling club.....our squad has been depleted season on season for the last few years......its not rocket science here. We haven't sold a player over the last few seasons.....that in itself means less money in the pot, which in turn means there's less to spend on players wages......therefore our squad decreases year on year till we start selling players again. I for one would have been more than happy to lose Murphy for 250k last year, if it meant we could have afforded to keep Jennings and brought in A.N.Other to strengthen the squad, while putting a few coffers in the bank.......that is the reality of how our club HAS to operate to survive. The maths are simple......sell one and it let's you keep a few more.....don't sell any, and your squad has to shrink.....do you want to keep Murphy for his last season meaning he goes for free, or take a fee and have the cash to strengthen the squad a bit ???

You're kind of missing the point. I'm not saying he's shite by any means....but he's not improving, and if anything he's gone backwards. What I am saying is that we should take what we get offered, or we face losing him for nothing. That, for a club like ours, is madness if we let him see out his contract. Yes he scores goals.....that's his job....but not that many that he'd be missed terribly. I for one, hope that he gets a decent move to a Championship club on the up.....I'd like to see him progress, but given his poor progression record at Fir Park, I just can't see him doing it with us unfortunately. His time was up at Fir Park about a year ago in my opinion.

yeah...."seriously" in his final year of his contract now ...is he not ? so we have to cash in if he has any value in the market at all. so if Brighton offered 50,000 for him, I'd volunteer to drive him there myself ! nothing against the lad, like I said, he showed bags of potential a few seasons back......but HAS gone backwards ever since. I personally thought that the move to Blackpool last season was at just the right time for him.....I know my opinion wont be a popular one, but I wouldn't have had him near the team last year. I'll wish him every success and the very best of luck when he does finally go, and thank him for his contribution in a Well shirt.......but I sure as hell wouldn't lose any sleep over losing Jamie Murphy. Like I said initially.....I just dont understand the man-love he gets.

tin hat at the ready......all the man-love that Murphy gets on here is un-fathomable to me. he is a decent player when he's in form....unfortunately, for the last 18 months he has been nowhere near his best. Last night neither him nor Ojamaa were playing to their capacity, and both had the opportunity to play the other in to a scoring opportunity and chose not to. Personally speaking, I think we missed the boat on cashing in on Murphy, as I think in the current market he is worth 2 Chomps and a Curly Wurly at best.....had great potential a few years ago, but has gone backwards ever since. Likewise, there seems to be a lot of negativity surrounding Ojamaa , some of it deserved, most of it not. I reckon if we get anything offered for Murphy, we should bite their hand off , as much for his sake, as the clubs........he appears to be doing nothing more than stagnating where he is.

hard to choose today, as there were so many top class performances on the park. went for Ojamaa though, as he was outstanding, especially with the build up for the 3rd !

in fairness, we "could" stick a £12 million price tag on Clancy........it doesn't mean a) he's worth it, or b) anybody's gonna pay it !

Ojamma and Higdon up front works well enough.....why tinker with that to put Murphy in, as he looked a bit clueless last night again ?? keep Murphy on the bench, and use him as an impact sub like they did with Humphrey last night.....fresh legs with a bit of pace coming on at 70 mins anyway more of the same on saturday please. is it worth asking the SFA or the Compliance Officer if we can play with 10 men every game ??

I dont often find myself agreeing with much that TheLip69 posts, but that last post pretty much sums it up for me. I wasn't exactly jumping for joy at his appointment, but I've backed him 100% so far, and despite some baffling tactics / formations, he's had a fair degree of success so far. I'm ever hopeful that he'll find a way out of the slump in form that we are in right now, but a wee bit of a reality check finds us still in 4th place in the league with 2 games in hand over 2 teams at the wrong end of the table.......not exactly time to hit the panic button yet !!

of the 3 players you mention, there is probably only 1 that anyone is realistically going to get us any cash. Murphy is / has been so "off-form" this season, that anyone who was having him scouted last season will have lost interest this season. Humphrey has been much the same as Murphy this season, in regards to his form compared to last season......so there wont be many scouts turning up to see him either. Randolph is the only one of the three that will get us any sort of a fee, but the big question there is "who replaces him, that wont cost us points ?".....sometimes it makes sense to keep what you have and run the risk of getting less / nothing for them next season, to justify the cash we could get from :- a) a decent cup run b) a higher league finish c) a European spot ? If....and it's a big if, we could find someone of a similar quality, then I'm all for cashing in, but not if we dont . personally I'd prefer a decent cup run and a wee European run, over a few hundred grand in the bank and a relegation battle.

having Murphy on the park at the moment is like being a man down ......he's the one who SHOULD be feeding off Higdons knock downs and flick ons......Murphy is a passenger at the moment, I'm just amazed that its Higdon getting the flack for Murphys lack of effort / ambition / desire .

Murphy needs dropped for his own good.....his form and confidence are at an all time low, and he's become a passenger this last few months. Higdon is doing what he does, and doing it pretty well.....he wins the header, and knocks it on.....our problem is that no-one seems able to read his game....after 6 months of playing alongside him, you'd think they'd have sussed this by now. Hateley is superb at Right Back.....lets keep him there ! Clancy.....jesus , where do I start...I'm not a fan....I dont think he's had pass marks in my eyes since he came here. Jennings and Lasley....when they play together, thats where we win games !....when one or both are out, we look lost. Daley looks a good aquisition, and I'm sure there's more to come from him Ojamma ...young lad has shown more guts, determination and inspiration in the 30 mins or so he's played for us so far, than Murphy has all season......more worthy of a contract than a good few of our more established players. we're sitting 4th in the league, and our home form can only improve, so its not all doom and gloom. If we can pick up a few points over the next few weeks, then I reckon we will be back on track for a decent end to the season. onwards and upwards !!

can anyone tell me why the fuck Murphy is still getting a game ???? hasn't kicked a ball all season, and doesnt look remotely interested when he's on the park, looked promising last season.......looks like a Forfar player this season :-(
