I heard Gannon (from Sunday) on the BBC podcast thing yesterday. He speaks very very well, he seems very tactically astute. Every time I hear him I'm more impressed with the way he talks and what he seems to be trying to do.
Don't you know no team in Scotland ever plays well against the old firm. If you take anything from the game you're lucky/the ref supported the other half/they played so bad we looked good.
I think a lot of folk that normally sit round about me sat nearer the back because of the sun. Its hard to see how empty the cooper was when your sitting in it though, but think more folk up the back nmight make it look emptier on telly? I agree though, still a pretty poor turn out, but if we keep playing this way folk'll come back
Thought we were quality today, I'd have taken the draw before the game TBH. Coke was great again as was Hately. Key thing today was, again, it was a team performance, solid as a unit. Something we lacked for large parts of last season.
I think a couple may have been asked to leave. I could be wrnog but there was a fair few young guys fairly near the front who seemed to disappear and quieten down. They could just have moved further up the tand I suppose
I,m feeling quietly confident about saturday. Yesterday (and I know Rangers will be better opposition) we knocked the ball about well and the midfield and defence worked really fluidly to let the back line get forward while the midfield provided cover. If we go for it against Rangers I really don't see why we can't get a result.
I must say I enjoyed the game yesterday. We knocked the ball about well and I don't care if it was their U21s, it's still Motherwell 1 - Man United 0. I'll take it.
Mark Reynolds seems like a sound guy with his head screwed on. Nine times out of ten papers will always run with one line that makes the story more extreme. He's hardly out there pimping himself to all and sundry. As long as we have cover I'd rather take £4.5 million for him (rough estimate ) in January than get hee haw in June/July.
As a wee aside how many loan players can you have in a squad in the SPL (sorry if this is answered elsewhere)? They've been talking on SSN about how in the premiership you can have 4, but in English leagues you can have 8 in squad (4 under 23, 4 over) but can only have 4 on matchday
