  1. As per usual as bad as the previous game has been, it gets to Wednesday and my hope is renewed. A wee win for the Well would be nice please!
  2. McGhee on STV news there saying we'll be a poor team and get poor results until we get back our injured/ill players. Didn't hear him say who was ill/when they'd be back etc but this statement doesn't fill me with confidence
  3. Bawling/shouting/swearing whatever only works, in my opinion, if a manager does it once in a blue moon. Its equally valid to say that if you get the "disapointed/let yourself down" speach a few times you'll eventually switch off to that too.
  4. I think of all the players who may go the biggest blow would be losing Buzz. I think this season, arguably unlike previous seasons, he hasn't done a great deal wrong. Finding another half way decent keeper and getting them playing well with our defence and understanding our defence would be a nightmare!
  5. pre-contracts are the biggest pain in the arse. If a player has signed one whether they admit it, to themselves or anyone else, they'll never be 100 % comitted. 50:50 tackels are a no go for one, as well as any sort of drive to keep us in the premier league.
  6. Surely it's worth looking, if not for January then for summer, at the hundreds of young boys released by premiership teams because they'll "never make the grade". I'm sure that the best of them are picked up by other premiership clubs or championship clubs but I don't believe for a second that no-one is missed, expecially young Scottish players slightly disillusioned and looking for a move home? I know to look at these players is quite an undertaking but lets narrow it down to, say, 6'4" defenders...
  7. As good as Saunders has been I'd bring Coach back in there. Saunders is still young and you don't really want all the negativity or what not to get to him. I wouldn't be upset if he played mind! I wouldn't give Bob Malcom a shout in a million years, unless we have a free kick I don't see what he's bringing to the table.
  8. Don't really have time to read through this whole thread so sorry if this is a repeat (which I assume it is) so what others have written. Basically yesterday several of the players, in my opinion looked disinterested. When they scored a guy in front of me commented that maybe we'd get a bit of fight from the players now we were behind. That never happened and it should have. Really can't see where the improvement is supposed to come from. Also, even though we lost the players were upset, getting a bit of stick etc etc it was a bit rubbish Chris Porter was the only player to acknowledge the fans after the game.
  9. Says in the sun today we're looking at this keeper. Apparently Hibs are interested too. I take it he was the 3rd keeper out at the warm up last night? Anyone know anything about this?
  10. What is it with some of the media banging on about there being a lot of pressure on the players as they're expected to do as well as last season? Not one person I've spoken to all season expects us to finish 3rd. We'd all like to for sure but thats heart over head chat and I think we're all pretty realistic.
  11. I thought Klimpl did an alright job last night. Seemed to always wanting to get forward though, which wasn't really a help at times yesterday. I think once he gets his match sharpness back (not that last nights game required that much sharpness) he could be pretty decent.
  12. I think Darren Smith just looks majorly lacking in confidence just now. Still think he could be an alright player if he stops shitting himself everytime he might have to run at a player these days.
  13. Poor poor poor performance. Saunders did well right enough, can't really fault him at all. Klimpl looked like he might be alright. Sponsors MOTM Stephen Hughes - you're having a laugh
  14. I'm sure someone said, maybe McGhee, that the covers protected to -10 deg C. I don't know if this was combined with the possible faulty USH, or what kind of protection the covers offer alone.
  15. Right now I'd much rather have Craigan in the team than not. The experience he offers can't really be matched by anyone else in the team at the moment. He'll always give 100 % and I think that's all you can ask of someone in the team really. McLean we'll never know how good he can be without him getting a run in the side as it stands when he's fit again. Comparing how he played a couple of seasons ago (I thought he was pretty alright to be honest) with how he'd play if he came into the current team tomorrow doesn't work. As for Reynolds he might make some mistakes, some of them more visible than others, but when he's playing well you don't tend to notice him because he just gets on with it and I think he gets the job done. I'd like to see him in a more midfield role though, but obviously for now thats just not an option. He'd also probably get along a lot better if certain small fractions of the crowd stopped giving him abuse before he's even touched the ball. As for Malcolm, sometimes I'd give my Dad a game over him. Can't argue with his free kicks right enough.
  16. I'll definately be buying one of the DVDs. In all honesty I just forgot they existed until now. Me and my pal were just discussing the other day how we haven't had a game for the renaming of stand. We almost had ourselves convinced that we had been excessively stupid and missed something. But seeing as others on here have heard nothing about this yet I take it we didn't miss the announcement.
  17. We have another few games to go before Klimpl goes back. If he gets a run in the side for those few games then he'll have a chance to impress. If he does I think McGhee will definately try and keep him because he obviously impressed him enough in the first place.
  18. I know this is a frequently asked question but I can,t find it on the official site (sorry if I'm just missing it) but does the ticket office open at 9.30?
  19. The fact we have no defenders wouldn't have came into the pitch being frozen..... Seriously though, although it was very very cold, there can't be any excuse for the undersoil heating not working and if it is a fault with the system I hope to see the club taking the company who installed it to task for it. I understand you cant fully test the system until its very cold but surely there are some sort of test systems in place? I'm no undersoil heating expert though I suppose.
  20. I'm sure I read something ages ago about it being a ticket match with tickets going on sale on Wednesday. No idea where I got that from
