Goalkeepers will surely feature? i'd offer some suggestions to match names like Maxwell,Dijstra, Marshall, Ruddy and Randolph, but my memory needs a jolt when it comes to matches in the past.....
-
And our best chance came from his cross I get that people say he's not good enough, I don't get how he's at the top of that list, when there are a few others that imho are worse both in capability and effort, a few that get MOM votes regularly

Booooooooooooooooooooo!

know quite a few of the lads are politically motivated away from the games standing shoulder to shoulder with the green brigade on anything let alone a political fight, is akin to any of the scottish represenatatives standing side by side with the Tories, even if they are fighting for the same goal, unacceptable and beyond damaging. as for being played like total mugs by the mhankies and disrupting a match at your home ground, lets hope it doesn't damage the leniency being offered by the club working with the group. Always had my backing for the tremendous effort supporting the team without costing the club, shame for all concerned if everything else takes over from that goal

A fair bit of that would be the inability to pass to a team mate. And Around 8 of our team being camped out in our 1st quarter of the pitch with almost no option to pass forward
-
Aye cause we've seen how good we are without him
-
He's been at the whisky again, "We've got the makings of a good midfielder in Laing" Shudders and remember s Malcolm getting used over and over again I wasn't expecting much, but even that wasn't delivered. If anything I'm more concerned with whoever advised McGhee prior to this game will still have influence in how it all pans out
-
Club twitter indicated there would be an applause before ko
-
Some more positive spin on us not knowing what we were not told, and having to judge on actual events that we did know about; look forward to waiting many more years in the hope we find out what really happens at the club we are all meant to be part of, - Herald Scotland PS. McGhee might have done well for the club in the aftermath of Phils death, as a manager, I find it tough reading the praise over and over having heard the other side from some of the family

This would look good in the daily rags if it does happen

Ha! I'm thinking the same, who was it even suggested him? Looking forward to some continental coaching skills arriving from Portugal

No one , 'gave' me an exlanation, as I'm not pathetic enough to think I deserve one, in person or online, I read about his trip away and accepted it, before the cup game should a chairman attend every club match? when giving so much time, are they not entitled to some life outside the club? and since as a club we have fairly regularly given football staff time away from our games , it seems ludicrous to suggest others less connected with the team are required to be there, every time. as for your hindsight on 'the resultant fall out', I am sure all concerned would have preferred it to be handled a little differently, but the chairman being there would have have changed nothing other than a few words at the start of a quote, you seem hung up on Fairly poor and petty coming from yourself weeyin

he was on a pre-arranged trip away, is it still an issue?

Not sure this qualifies as an out: but interesting to read that one of the youngsters, in the elite academy structure and connected with Motherwell is heading back out to Benfica for a 3 week training camp. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/motherwell-youngster-swapping-braidhurst-benfica-6588514

has any indiividual mouthing off in public about our management vacancy ever received a job offer?
-
This thread is a full of just about nothing: at least some logic to this one, and back in the day was Malky not pumpin a posters mum? vague recollections of someone getting ribbed over it a for a good while

Are any of our former managers in a current managers job?
-
"plenty of creativity in wide areas" and "putting the balls into right areas"? two of the strikers had 19 minutes, I think I seen one cross ball from another strikers corner that made it to the box, and one other cross from Law in that time McDonald was crap (again) but everything he tried to collect was out wide, then he wasted it all, be happy if he had the balls to call him out as poor in possession, but to indicate Moult, Robinson and Fletcher were the failings on the day - utter utter crap. ,
-
I had pretty much written of Craigan for yesterdays performance, but hearing his summary I'm inclined to think we need to be checking if our managers are getting spiked with hallucinogenics around game time.

I had given up paying to watch us away before Hamilton, like a fair few, dare I say it, it might have been done before, I'd be interested to hear how it worked from someone who watched him play there? it delivered nothing yesterday I'd like to watch it back to judge him properly Dave, ive not been impressed but equally, not written him off, he was caught in possession a few times yesterday, so still needs to get up to speed, Dundee were no great shakes the three of ours should've bossed it yeah he looked fine last week, no idea what the change was, I'd say we had him and Las in wrong roles, but Las stood out for ground covered, Pearo just seemed restricted? Thomas wasnt even on the bench, if Johnson was injured but available why make him work off balance? Pearo is left sided, but again who knows Its clear everything is not fine - so even more frustrating that two players out of position instead of one is even more strange Pretty much this with a bit less drama. I'd also add that , the belief would seem be that Craigan will not be the answer, so no one is bothered that it was another fail
-
Yesterday showed why Craigan is not ready for the appointment, fair enough we dont know the full background to the team and bench selection and Lionel getting injured was a blow, but although we had shown some decent moves down that side, I think we had only made their keeper collect the ball once? but even beyond the questionable bench and starting formation selections, the changes were then simply bad decisions. a few have commented that there was not much between teams, and we've seen that a few times, I would agree, which is why its so frustrating to see us not even do the very very basics which would see us pick up points. there are no single fall guys for the likes of yesterday, except maybe Craigan, his inability to see Johnson was completely and utterly useless on the right , in fact it was so counter productive, in how often he was giving the ball away, counter that with Moult struggling to contribute anything from the left. Corners , we won a few , why are we letting Johnson take them, pointless excercise and more often that not we end up chasing back to defend - We must have a player or two who can at least hit the middle of the box - moult did it late on with one. Opposition setpieces - no players outside our box = no out ball , immediate pressure piled back on - I'm sure others will mention our wall' McDonald - why is he deserving of the starting place every week? Moult - he's not a ball player for out wide - is he? get him back in front of the goals and working his socks off to bring others into play Ainsworth - looked keen and in retrospect was our only hope. Johnson- should have been put on the left, but still think he would deserved to have been hooked if we had any replacement on the bench, his decisions and contributions are terrible just now, in the last few minutes he had the ball out wide and was offered four tall strikers in a perfect line 10yards out to aim for , but cut in and tried to walk it across a packed defence? Grimshaw - what has he got that has sidelined other players? Pearson- had a pretty poor game imo, maybe he was told to hold back? his goal as lucky as it was , came from one of his few ventures forward into the box Lasley - was all over the middle of the pitch and pushing forward , recovering possesion and generally baling others out - would love to know the pyschology of Craigan choice to hook him - totally undeserved Ripley - some quite horrendous goalkeeping - coupled with some fantastic saves, and although distribution was still terrible, at least he played it out from the back on occasions this week. The defence is what it is, not one of them can pass a ball, and also seem to think they can turn a man? the two late additons up front, had nothing to work with, but it was enjoyable to see Dundee even slightly rattled when we actally tried to get balls in the box to actual strikers
-
Lasley for me, he has his flaws which folk like to point out but, compared to the others he's one of only two or three that even put the effort in these days.
