Marinus Dijkhuizens Motherwell army just rolls of the tongue, looking forward to that

Was very saddened to read this news, I was too young to remember details of Joes skillful contribution in games I attended, I did know the auldyins around me rated him though, and his presence was felt around the stadium long after he stopped playing, he was part of every European tour and at many domestic games and social events, I truly wish my father knew Joe, and that I had been lucky enough to have witnessed more of his contributions on the park, but I know he is a club legend in every way Thoughts with his family first and foremost , he meant so much more to them than to us fans. The petition however is pathetic in every sense.

but there are many resources in place to take the direct contacts requirement away from the boss at this time.....

they say that time heals all wounds, and I'm surprised to hear myself say this, but I genuinely think we should approach Mark Mcghee - for a short term contract to provide what we need. the players need controlling, and he wears brown brogues hopefully someone will put me right on why he isn't a good fit, as Im feeling distressed at my own suggestion

Room for improvment is where I would pitch it, I'm not writing him off just yet, but he was far from flawless, any of our previous opponents would have probably scored goals like they did if he had played.agaisnt them the other posters insistance that he had a perfect game compared to predecessors genuinely made me laugh, while there was something more steady, he did indeed get roasted a few times early on and lost his man in set pieces, and was often playing everyone onside many yards behind our line. but your point about watching the game from the O'Donnell stand , maybe is a pertinent factor, as that was also my vantage point (north end), maybe his flaws, especially 1st half, were simply not seen by many? Ps. Ainsworths and Lasleys support was duly noted supporting him many a time, leaving the centre backs to do their job -

I actually laughed at this post: A perfect example of selective vision? in an attempt to promote one players capability over others -
From what I recall Big Softie knew fine well thats where he was putting the ball, Kennedy seemed to be attempting the long diagonal

It's almost like he expects too much of himself, but many of our support cut him no slack Yesterday was possibly one of his worse games, but at least 3 others had far worse contributions, excuses are getting made for them yet Lasleys role gets debated over and over. Asking him to carry a midfield two is possibly the flaw, he actually covered for Pearson a few times. rather have him on the pitch than any other at this time -
Would be tempted to look at right back and left mid. The 2nd striker role needs defined also, as we were suffering seriously from giving the ball away cheaply But with all that's going on, perhaps it's less painful to go again

I'm not saying he shouldn't get it , but that was far from the finest presentation to justify his promotion. the only difference today from Baraclough was team selection, the tactics, distribution, skills were all quite terrible, 1st substitution was baffling, but hey one goal for will gloss over the goal lost and subsequent shambles but we won, so many will not care Kennedy stood out, Ainsworth continues to impress and is likley my MOTM (notably for his workrate as much as his wing play) the 700-800 fans we've lost will not be hurrying back to see the hoofball from Ripley go straight out the park, or 11 players defending corner after corner in the box leaving no out ball , and immediately being under pressure again. it's a toss up to who put in the worst performance, McDonald or Steven McLean edit: and no way are Partick Thistle the worst team in this league, well structured, organised, tough tackling, and rattled the woodwork, what 3 times? -
he can be 'injured' even if there is a requirement for him to play

Sorry but that is beyond deluded, Mcmanus regularly couldn't even be arsed swinging his leg to make a ball move 20yds to his side. its been noticed by many, his outstanding performance in the play offs were a keen reminder of his capability. Lasley has many flaws but lack of effort ?, even his biggest detractor, Kmcalpin, would not throw that at him, Hell if anything Lasleys biggest flaw is him trying to be involved in everything and leaving his own post I got reall issues with McManus contribution since his signing, young lads have been covering for him more regular than anything he has given to them, early last season I think I read someone posting he is the biggest dissapointment in many a decade, I agree. McDonald is a strange one, no where near fit 8 weeks ago, ( we need to learn that its unacceptable to be paying these players for having a longer stretch off, over others back in training) but his game time was also wasted due to positional selection, his contribution dropped way beyond his lack of fitness, was turning in shifts that should have had him suspended without pay, I was delighted Bara had the baws to drop him I think Baracloughs biggest failing was sticking with McManus through every failed experiment. so back on point , to claim Lasley showed similar effort to these two is just crazy talk

thoughts? ..................Ripley Watt-Kennedy-McManus-Chalmers Thomas - Leitch - Lasley - Cadden .............Moult - Robinson as an aside traffic could be a pain, sevco playing at home and the stretch beyond Govan to Paisley is nose to tail many evenings

and Watt got to play football after around 70mins..

was a direct comparison to a previous game that was also £22 so seemed out of place? highlights just starting on BBCalba

if the society has any chance of purchasing the shares , it needs to have funds to do so if the club is continuing to trade at a loss and the payments to Les are required to be made, is it the society funds that are the guarantee, leaving the society struggling to finance the share purchase in the required timeframe? if so, are the additional signings contributing to any losses, or are they contributing to increasing turnover in order to make the required profit to pay our way out of the mess?

Pat Nevin still maintains that when he was managing contracts at the club everything was in budget

I think its safe to say, that is not a common opinion, plenty of 'our own' have had had careers written off by the general support after producing more than Taylor has. I take very little pleasure in saying , after Saturday , I have never witnessed a player appear to try so hard not to be involved in a game and I doubt I will, there may be reasons , I can wait to find them out in due course, but at least 3 or 4 players deserve game time before him, from what I have seen to date. my personal opinion is we need 3 midfielders with wing men being switched out, I still would only give Taylor game time from the bench at best, until he delivers positives, starting with working to make himself available for the ball, instead of backing off and pointing at other Motherwell players. Taylor can stay for now, If Bara thinks he is part of a functional midfield two, I know where the flaw lies
-
It was the often criticised Lasley that played the great ball to get Johnson on the by line. beyond that I tend to agree, but cant quite see that Grimshaw has shown enough to date, to get this guaranteed start many seem to be promoting, especially if we are still going with two in the middle. he certainly showed positives, like a few others we have tried, but we know nothing about his match fitness, his mindset, his capability in a overrun midfield setup, he is however much more worthy that Taylor , who I am struggling to find anything positive from his inclusion , although he is really good at pointing at other players for the ball to get passed elsewhere, instead of making himself available.

you dont have Montenegro either......

David Williamson?

you maybe thinking about a swede?

we need to get away from starting with two out and out wingers, and no midfield. we are the most predictable set up team in the league, easy to nulify and walk right through. 3 across middle, with 1 from 3 wingers starting, and told to leave absolutley everything on the park, same with a front man, carry them off after 45-60minutes and at least that leaves us with a bench to effect changes if required, or roll out some guns to kill off an opponent

about as good a price setpoint as anyone could expect, good that both clubs agreed to that
