  1. in that case, the Juan Kerse called it, not as much shit draws as we are generally just shit in them
  2. http://spfl.co.uk/news/article/scottish-league-cup-third-round-draw/
  3. no watched it in ages , heard there was some bawbag on it this morning fae Motherwell
  4. I'm sorry but that's nonsense, he has gave the ball away which has led to conceded goals in a number of games by over playing. somewhere in the middle of the polar opposite opinions, and with game time will be a very good motherwell player. but then so will Carswell, with game time.
  5. Motherwell to take the lead then try and hold on with very little confidence or awareness
  6. ........,,......Nielsen ..Ramsden, McManus Hutchinson Hammell Kerr,,,,...................................,,,, Francis Angol ,,,,,....Lawson,,,.... Lasley,,,...Carswell ,,.........Anier Good enough for a night out in Russia , good enough for an SPL game in Motherwell and if the Boss allows them to venture in to the oppositions half, probably more of a threat than in any other game
  7. not really wanting to get into slating him, but Lawson has his flaws, particularly costing us goals attempting world cup passes or dribbling when he should be clearing I think he needs time in the team, but I'd be equally happy if Carswell got the game time as well
  8. McCall post match http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/scotland/23742803
  9. Cheers Gazzy B, sounds true to form, if it was poorly aimed high balls to Sutty, did McHugh have any chance of getting involved? I dont want to write him off just yet, but hes not really shown anything in the competitive games so far this season but when he had appearances before I had confidence he could make it giving time, suppose this season neither has Sutton bar an assist I still think they both have a place, just not in the team the way it is setup just now
  10. on opinions I'll read them all mate, sad as it is, I, like too many others, dedicate way too much time to giving a fuck about MFC and the fans thoughts, but I've read some tripe so far today from people who were not there, giving opinions on why we were two down, the cause ranged from every defender(except hammell?)and most of the midfield, through to the usual Hollis scapegoat and even Sutton and McHugh were at at fault? this potential right winger would have stopped the goals? etc etc everybody has thoughts and frustrations, but it was pretty sad at times earlier today to read people speculating and then spouting ill informed drivel at some of our own over who is at fault when quite simply they were arguing over unknowns. one or two at the game were contributing that yes it was bad/poor etc but that we were close to being in it and the penalty decision could have swung it back in our favour. now I'll never know the true cause or just how bad it was , But I am sure not going to blame individual players that quite simply might have been no wehre near involved in the failings now none of that deflects from my earlier points that we are quite simply just not ready for competitive games (again) I said last week that the team that played in Krasnodar should have been kept in tact for league game, and I'd stick with that, all that was missing was the instruction to venture forward now and again. but at least there was some balance the other points, you got the jist, its down to McCall and co to sort it, and at least acknowledge that yet again pre-season has been poorer than what other teams deliver, Thistle were back weeks before us and never had Europe hopefully we can step up, but to me thats what counts this early in the season, McCall has never had that nailed, but he gets them going eventually and has delivered more success than say Brown or Mcghee who got us going earlier but rarely maintained it. After last years powder puff attempt at Europe I had hoped we would step up preparation earlier but it was obvious we had not before we even returned after summer, So I guess , we have to hold on tight and hope the season pans out nearly as good as last year
  11. Be interesting to read about how we actually played, some pretty tragic stuff on here and the social media sites about peoples blind opinions and the usual scapegoats getting blamed. for me and in the four games Ive seen, it just the usual McCalls motherwell start to the season , weeks behind nearly every other team in terms of preparation and ability to play as a team and being off match sharp fitness, nothing new from previous seasons. Plenty of good players in a squad, that is no worse than most of the last ten years (last year an exception with the continuity) Sad to see so many Motherwell fans now simply expecting to win games with no consideration for the situation or opposition, but suppose that comes off the back of success its up to the management team to get finger out and deliver a fit team, with players playing in an appropriate system and positions, right now, just like last season and the year before, it looks like we'll just have to suffer the experimentation on the park until something clicks. for now Id be happy if he drops a couple of the names, and picks players to play to their strengths, instead of based on wage packets/number of appearances. Edit: I'd also think two or more points from the next two games is relative success, based on where the teams are at present. and they trips to the highlands seem to bring out the laziest displays we produce in a season, be worth noting the preparation that goes into them
  12. Just seen, The match in Perth has been switched to Sunday October 27th 16:05 ko got BBC Alba TV
  13. yip, usually far too much going on to pick it out, but yesterday McManus had a handful of sleeve, directly in line of sight of the Ref' I'm trying to get a hold of a image I seen yesterday that an Aberdeen fan caught on camera, shows how clear a view the ref had. usually a few occurrences very like it in every game,,but when it was in clear view of the ref, we cannot really ask him to ignore it
  14. No it's not the flag in question That's the one that was returned
  15. But we were not, in case you hadn't noticed its Aberdeen But either way, im pretty sure the club would have considered losing around £40,000 from the gate money and probably more on lost hospitality, a risk not worth taking when we could have been at Fir Park on Thursday As for the game, none of the players that stepped in should get dropped, so faddy Sutton and Vigurs can find their way back from the bench
  16. we didnt know if we would be away first or second leg so we could have been losing a weekend home fixture and the income associated with it, when there was no need.
  17. you've clearly not seen him recently
  18. Pretty peculiar that you only thought of mentioning tactics and the like after a number of people refuted your opening gambit that Ramsden is not a right back. Why would people discuss anything with you, when you clearly cannot read their responses and admit that Ramsden is a right back, whilst he might not be in the mould that you would like, I doubt that George burley or rab Shannon were either, yet you wouldn't argue that they were centre halves.... Or would you?
  19. What do you think about Hutchinson?
  20. You could try getting Louis on twitter in case scots phone is out (mine is still barred waiting reset) , @TheBoiLouis
  21. Whilst everything else was fantastic, The acoustics of the venue were really poor Ps , Fatcalf I think he is still over there until sat/sun
  22. The fans with the club aeroplane are all home and recovering from the vodka and good times So if you know , Cammy, Tom, Colin and Iain, we are all good Scott and Louis have some more time in Russia (the lucky ones)
  23. At least a big club like Feyenoord will always come second in FC kubans history to Motherwell You're first ever European competition was with Motherwell FC ,we are happy to be part of it The competition will be more difficult with them, but I support you for victory Viva Kuban
  24. And these guys who attacked 3 innocent fans from behind in a surprise attack, are cowards, invite them to see me or any motherwell fan one at a time
