  1. Think this will be the first time that the club will be struggling to break even on a euro qualification. Its going to cost hell of a lot to get the required staff out to Krasnodar especially with the timeline needed to get back in decent time for the Aberdeen game and all the restrictions and added costs that come with travelling to Russia. add in the fact its £22 to watch the likes of St Mirren at Fir Park I expect a minimum of £25 for Third round qualifier and at least the same if we get to the play off round although if that happens prices might be relaxed to say £22-£20
  2. would you not agree, if there are not a couple of eligible players better than him, then that makes him international class and deserving of any call up? maybe not in the sense of playing for Spain or Brazil, but fact is he is Scottish, he is a solid performer, with years of experience and there are not many, if any, so called better players available as a Scotland fan I'd be happy if we had world class superstars fighting for places in the squad and as such Stevie missed out, but the fact is, international class, for Scotland, is well within Hammells scope
  3. But you wouldn't be knocking him down for taking the opportunity to develop as a player, by at least striving to be better and continue to maintain or improve his capability. If there are not a couple of eligible players that are notably better than him, that makes him international class
  4. nope, I quoted as you made a pertinent point that had been missed but now we all know how to give you the paranoia
  5. not really anything to do with the topic, but for fuxache, he has been here six years it's HUTCHINSON
  6. but you wanted them judged against last season team, who were pish in the pre-season games, and pretty rank in the early home games so weeyins reply stands and as for wanting Hollis judged on 45 minutes, you know fine well you're inviting all the bottom feeders to wet their pants in reply
  7. and no doubt that Killie will switch it to ticket only, around 3pm on the day. Only football clubs know how to run a match, fans have not got a clue
  8. both locations have awesome natural light, great for photographs of the Haifa half dozen or the Lankaran Legion of six
  9. that would mean about twenty new strips every season!
  10. am told we have taken the RB from Morton, Craig Reid EDIT: and as he pictured on the Motherwell Facebook page I believe its true
  11. anyone else pick up news of a Lunch time press conference tomorrow? just a return to normal service or something to announce?
  12. he was already registered last season, until june 30th so , the registration is an extension not a new signing, interesting the league are already referring to themselves as the SPFL , I would have thought there would be some legal stuff to get out the way prior to that happening not least sponsor contracts etc
  13. Nonsense Omar Daley got 12 starts (11 in league) and 15 sub appearances in his first season , Same season Bob got 3starts (1in league) Season after Omar had 3 starts bob had 2, Omar got plenty time in his first season to prove himself, and he did as a work shy lazy runt, I'd probably not say he was pish as his capability was there he just wasn't interested, Bob, deserves his contract and probably deserves more of a chance, he's never hid, always stepped up when asked, delivered more often than not, and sat patiently watching a number of imposters get game time over him
  14. I'd say its a few in the next few days with other signings to follow
  15. Cheers, for the clarification, its the fans fault that there is little value left in Scottish football yip I laughed and sighed, forgot the tears smillie surprised concessions are being asked to pay the full price, some will say its a premiership team so what else do you expect to pay?, some will say they go to watch Motherwell, not a Newcastle XI , who are cold off a summer break and with international players who have only reported back a couple of days earlier, some will say friendlies should never be more than £10 or £12, total non events as football matches some will say friendlies at Fir Park, are the dogs danglies, well maybe not... I'll just be glad when competitive football is back we'll hopefully have a squad by then, hell if there is a couple of moderate value friendlies I might even join in with them
  16. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2013/06/24/newcastle-tickets-go-on-sale/ laugh, cry or sigh?
  17. Cheers, Andy ,received it on paypal no worries , no rush at present anyway, be a few weeks at earliest before I can move it on with the club, happy to leave this open until at least the season starts
  18. Anybody got contacts at West Bromwich Albion?
  19. Just been in the ticket office collecting my ST books, phone bleeped with a new email, glanced at it seen Well society and left it for later, wish there had been a notice up, guess ours will have to lie cluttering the place up til end of July What makes you think there will be one for members next season?
  20. The schools havnt even finished up yet!
  21. can this even be done? thought we would need to wait until the 2nd round 2nd leg ties were completed, to know our opponents with the 2nd round 2nd leg being the week after the draw.
  22. it suggests to me that currently, they CAN chuck you out, in direct contradiction to what we were told at the Society launch nights but as they are trying to delete that rule, it will bring it in line with what everyone was sold, that you are a member for life, but not active if annual subs are not paid, but able to reactivate at any point when you pay annual subs. and it would appear that they are practicing good judgment and not sending out those written demands and ejecting members whilst they make good the rules
  23. the board of the Well society have questions to answer for, and to be quite honest there a very few answers that would explain a breach of the core value of the society existing and weakening its existence in the very first term of office If this is a genuine mistake/oversight in the set up of the rules ( hard to believe a core value was not covered when the society was delayed for almost one year whilst the legal side was reviewed and scrutinised) so a fair bit of time after the event and only after reaction to a snippet of news, those society board that are meant to represent the society members first and foremost(not the club) choose to finally brief they members on the fact that almost one third of the funds have been given away in a manner that was never published as a society intention. the reaction, has led to a letter which tries to justify it after the event? by using emotional leverage that the club needed these funds and the society board choose not to delay the transfer by briefing members and in effect choose to give away these funds for a worthless share. now if all is above board, and this was just a minor legal loophole that genuinely caught both parties out. would it not be best if the changes proposed were implemented, setting up the legal permission for the Society to provide short term loans when required, and then Motherwell football club returned the £150,000 society funds by purchasing a single 'A' share in the society, or indeed the society sets up a membership level that costs £150,000 that the club could purchase. then all looking in would see that it was simply a short term exercise working around a legal obstacle that tripped up the initial requirement of supporting the club with the method sold to all the members
