  1. Just like Motherwell when he took the job? Think we should start retaining some snippets to prove some Motherwell fans walk around with blinkers on
  2. cannae believe some folk are second guessing the one guy who has never ever, not done the right thing by Motherwell Football club staggering he came in from a cold start and scored what 5 in 8 starts? lifted a few around him to a new peak spent hours on end, giving the next generation photo op's we've offered him a deal, jeebus, its fantasy stuff but some want to talk him down and make out we shouldnt even make the attempt thank fuk its the close season this place is mental
  3. I'd give him the time in the terms of the offer, same as the other lads have got but I'm not fretting over it, or looking for reasons to decry or devalue his capability in some rather tragic way. its almost as if you want others to dislike him news flash, it isn't gonna happen, just makes you look rather sad and pathetic he is genuinely a class or two? above our level, everyone else can see that. if you replaced Griffiths with him he would have performed better that the wee mutant, as it is, he has contributed more against better teams with Motherwell than Griffiths has with Hibs in teh same period, he might not have been as stand out, but then he was playing with much better players that Leigh was I dont even know why I'm replying, your technically a right off, destined to forever barrack players and pick fights and arguments with others for no legitimate reason. shame as only a few years ago you would argue for good causes, persuading me to keep spending ridiculous monies on following and supporting our club. why dont you try praising the players and thanking them instead of being desperate to boot them out when you dont even know the terms they are being offered
  4. fuxache steelboy you're starting to make MJC look like a happy clapper time to go watch the basketball or something that could make you happy

  6. McCall was reluctant to bring in McFadden why would he be chasing someone who, lets just say would like to be compared to him
  7. Glad to hear Killie have suddenly found a limitless source of income that gives their manager the ability just to sign players with no intention of using them, simply to prevent the Mighty 'Well getting these players who arent good enough for Killie can only be good for Scottish football that the above reasoning, must be true

  13. its fair to say that, out of all the responses, yours is the only one that misses one player that makes everyone elses top three just hope club have a taxi waiting outside next week to get him home safe
  14. Received notification from the club today, that the Sponsors night is next Thursday I've managed to let the two winners know its on and they are making arrangements to go along and collect the strips or nominate a deputy to attend in their place. on top of that the sponsors get to nominate their top three players of the season: I've put a mail out to all the contributors asking for their top 3 nominations, which I'll tally up the scores for and submit the top three as our groups choice quite a few back in already and looking like Higgys hangover isn't going to harm his great season so far, players picking up nominations so far: Higdon Randolph Law Ojamaa Faddy Hutchinson Hammell Lasley
  15. another meeting tomorrow http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22429484
  16. What do u mean by changed? They now get a ticket as they hand their money over, but that's only change afaik And that's only to prevent match abandoned vouchers being required
  17. Suppose it depends on how detailed the registration process is, If it is just a description ie amber coloured body with a claret band and C&A detailing, then maybes its acceptable Bearing I mind the SPL website still has us in the comma world sponsored kit, maybe they're not that clued up
  18. None if he's done nothing wrong, we've got some support that love to think the worst Anyway, Hammy has just tweeted that Higgy is alive and well and is at his testimonial golf day Oh and Stevie has just missed a one foot putt for a two
  19. 16:05 BBC Albas, live TV slot
  20. he'll be having some party
  21. What's a fact? The point was steelboy said fans promised to increase attendances (same point DW throws around) The argued point was fans actually declared that crowds would drop if Rangers received preferential treatment And having been far too involved in the situation I'd certainly say steelboys point was wrong, all the arguments were around, not going back, and lets be honest the vote was from society members , whom the majority will attend games or already invest in the club so it's unlikely you could say they would return to spending money at fir park, by their very status they already were investing in Motherwell So fans en-masse never promised an increase in attendances But, Motherwell fans have delivered, the club wanted more to choose season tickets, the club say ticket sales were up, so it's hard to accept the club being critical of fans paying up front, but maybe not being able to attend for any reason from living in America to simply not being able to attend because of TV scheduling, or our very own club moving a game Many fans have also put in more than enough extra cash as individuals, but we hear only negative digs fom the board on it, some have been dragging new folk along to games, Add to that, the stuttering steelmen forever tortoise, The real losses have been visiting supports, but even there the Motherwell support impresses, with a substantial % of our core support travelling most games, until clubs like Hearts hike prices and ban fun, then fans correctly are turned off Is it any surprise visiting supports are down when clubs and fans have been self centred and cream off extra into their own income streams, and do nothing to encourage visitors MFC is in a great geographical location and should be one of the 'must-go' games for the majority of fans who do travel, but we charge them, edit: at least, £22, we mess them about to the point they rarely know where they'll be accommodated....... Be honest Dave, is it the fans that are attending matches who are really not pulling their weight
  22. some of that might be accurate and most is true, sounds great doesn't it, will it be enough to offset the £600,000 loss we just declared and offset the loss of league sponsor money and continue to cover the Rangers game income, which wasnt really properly prepared for this season? haven't seen Armageddon mentioned, but being realistic and allowing the full picture to unravel would be nice instead of the couple of posts saying potential cuts are bullshit
  23. Think a few are taking the Lennon approach and forgetting who is voting I'm not surprised Hutchinson is included, its been voted for by fellow pro's, and when filling out a voting sheet they are going to skim though the lists of players and spot the most competitive they play against. sure he's had some off moments, but over the course, the vast majority of teams playing against him, will have seen that he'll run through a brick wall for his team mates, never give up, be on the offensive at set pieces etc if he had had a settled successful partner from earlier in the season it could have been an even better season
  24. feel free to go review what you both think what the club budgets for and think back to the summer when they laid it out for all to see when the Rangers vote was happening thanks to success on the field and a little bit of luck in a cup draw, the drop might not have been as much as projected but with expectations of top six and cup runs, average crowds down? pitch relaid etc I doubt we've had a profitable year. look forward to no league sponsor and next season, and it would be no surprise if its trimmed again, pretty sure its been mentioned
