Edit: It's not revealing at all Dave, well it is in a way as it reveals they are all either at it by being selective, or possibly none of them have the full story? Or, its just more smoke and mirrors, I'd guess they are all at it, none of them will reveal what the true proposal is Quite staggering stuff in there Clubs have failed to sell proposal, but we still don't get told what it really is Lets make mistakes then try and sort them, pmsl, yeah we've got a great record on doing that (under 11-1) Hosted a meeting on 11-1, to tell everyone it wouldn't be changed, but it was never voted on? Wouldn't have been that hard to add vote in at a meeting, and maybe discuss any matters that needed to be reserved Meaningless games if we had a 14 team league this season? Is anything decided yet this year? Actually sick of this meaningless talk from all clubs, its upto clubs to get supporters on board and they supporters come along to watch their own teams Bullying, clearly he is an understanding individual who didn't in any way use his platform to try and push all the problems that Scottish football is facing into one man/club But yeah, i dont think its revealing to those who have been following its just more spin

an awful lot of assumption in there Motherwell Fan, Bop, you delivered enough points and were perfectly articulate etc. to represent you and the bois, side of things really well, its a shame United have chosen to hide behind the League rules on this subject, its a personal bug bear if mine, when clubs choose to do it, as quite simply the clubs are the league. if these rules are the reason, then United should be coming out publicly and siding with the fans but slate the rules, and force a change Fucking idiots the lot of them, sponsorship income getting damaged almost on a daily basis , after-all, who wants to associate with incompetent buffoons who cannot even overcome a simple mistake in the rules which they created?
-
Been listening and a good shout to give him the story to push, a few points slightly of the mark but the core point is many clubs and the governing bodies are miles away from delivering what fans want If anyone is on, it might be worth mentioning that Dundee united have resorted to playing canned applause at the start of each half to fake an atmosphere, when they could easily have had another hundred or so generating the real thing Edit: and Hammell is one of the studio guests
-
Just to make the point, Dundee united advertised that last night visiting fans would be housed in the upper stand priced at £21/£12 , http://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/index.asp?tm=172 , now it might not have been fully clear and hidden away in a page less prominent than their standard pricing structure and I don't agree with making fans pay extra, but it was there. It might also be worth noting that our very club screw over visiting fans by charging them even more, £22/£15/£12 Which is a bigger disgrace IMHO So if making a point in the media, on the £21 price be sure to make it for he correct reasoning
-
Appreciate the sentiment Disappointed to read about it the night before the match, so with plans made ill still be going up Good luck with getting the story out and point over , although I thought tynecastle had applied a similar policy on drums n flags if not, the same gate policy applied 3games ago at Tannadice If you do any form of collection on the night stick a PayPal address up and I'll stick a few quid in
-
trust what you read on the internet ? or you could google the rule or articles of the SPL, and read the regulations on the internet or just read them here to save you the effort it was all or nothing on friday so needed 90% for the other points, re construction on its own wasnt on the vote list
-
the St Mirren statement was about the new proposals not the current setup
-
Don't worry Stewart Regan and the SFA are ready to jump in and save the day
-
Pretty much this, I fekin hate going to St.Mirren But I'll make sure I put some money their way next season I no longer trust anyone in Scottish football management structure, but that statement destroys people like Milne, who will never be trusted People who have, treated fans with disdain over many years and done nothing to help improve the structure of Scottish football I'm still undecided just how badly I feel, that our board members choose to gloss over the farcical retention of 11-1/ or was it just an oversight ? When selling/communicating the restructure to us at the Society meeting. I also now have doubts over the society boards information and indeed being asked to vote to support a scenario that we were not give the full story on, or were we even voting? due to the exclusion of ex pat members and others who could not attend. But the real damage is that yet again fans cannot trust statements from those managing the league, with their shameful attempt to bully member clubs and individuals who broke ranks by manipulating words of supposed compromise Yet again months of workload and chance of progression has failed because, they quite simply are not open and transparent and choose to try and manipulate the fans that pay all their wages

do not see anything in the SPL rules about runners up and the SPL roll of honour, doesn't acknowledge runners up so I doubt its ever had any formal placing If it were to happen I'm sure it would go on players CV's so to speak, along Euro appearances etc
-
Very interesting......... Interesting or just smoke and mirrors by the bully boys who didn't get their way 11-1 compromise was only on league restructure League restructure , was one one the reserved criteria that had a 3year block on change Rangers back, hearts and Aberdeen siding with Lawell on that point , so effectively a compromise that concedes nothing
-
Along these lines, I reckon it would be a good Christmas gift for many, but if available in the summer, quite a few might choose it over a ST
-
Nope, urban myth Edit: but yeah credit for work going on

Blinkered, TV is God, all bow down to Tv Walk on into the success your defence of the current status will deliver Value supplied by MFC is only available with the initial outlay for a season ticket, try PATG for any of our really poor performances and see if it is value And although I don't agree I'm aware of a few of the families that gave been encouraged along, that have missed home games due to the match scheduling that now see their investment in STs as not being value We need fans visiting home and away games week in week out, try looking into that with regards policing and stewarding But, aye lets not question or change anything for the fans benefit, everything is rosey
-
when match scheduling was regular and repeatable, enough people paid in to games to keep pricing lower. they same people were in a habit of attending matches it was part of their week, as soon as fixture juggling started getting silly , it made it difficult to balance that week for meany people, and the drop of in attendance gained momentum, around the same period prices started rising, until we are where we are now, only the ones that are willing to sacrifice other social events are able to make the majority of matches. and from what I see and feel, even those people are starting to miss matches because of the scheduling and especially with the late changes. yes, regular fixed match scheduling might not fix the problem, but it would help. you want SKY/ESPN/BT/ALBA, then scheduling is always going to be juggled to suit them all, and with so few teams for them to choose matches from , we all get messed about. we know we need some TV money, but three deals? for 12 teams, nonsense. especially the ESPN one that has no financial benefit due to the losses from the laughable ko slot
-
My reply to this earlier seems to have disappeared But it was basically laughing at the simplistic view of why people should attend football If you and all these people you think should be at a game are only interested in attacking football and being 2nd in the league then the club has no future Regular match scheduling Value for money Less rigid policing and officialdom And many other factors that our and the other clubs aren't even attempting to address need sorted before we will ever get people back and keep them coming Edit: and your reference to the thistle game as a measure is laughable as well, I'll see you that and raise you any of our similar isolated games where something major was at stake
-
I think your on a different planet if you think our club could organise that sort of conspiracy besides, does anyone think despite all the shouting and concern, that, 120 Motherwell fans would get off their arse and go listen? I considered it, but having heard it already and not agreeing with it, I thought it best to let others have the option instead. EDIT: I also do not get why folk think there is a vote that counts for anything? at an open meeting where anyone could show up simply by asking in advance
-
I see fans discussing pros and cons of events in the public space , general chat, that others may generate rumours from, but I do see the benefit, a blind person could. Nothing has ever been sold if no one knows its for sale
-
Sheffield United reportedly sacked manager Danny Wilson Was There not a hint that Law was destined to go there? Some hope of retaining him ? I'll leave the Murphy rumour until January
-
I wasnt persuaded but the reasons have been well posted, in this very thread for the 8-8-8 and its all to do with generating the money that in turn allows the distribution of wealth to happen sponsors and TV are supposedly waiting on the sidelines and its the belief, that if the League can make the offer of an increase in more competitive games ( the run up to the split, fresh teams facing each other thereafter fighting relegation etc)then contracts will be signed. voting? who knows, I feel I've been duped by them deliberately glossing over it ( but it will not be the first time, that the board get the chance to reverse that feeling by choosing to trust us and explain it, just a shame I feel that way for now)
-
11-1 should be the only thing that is relevant for now without it changing to something like 9-3, nothing effectively changes, as soon as the two cheeks are paired up again it would all be reset as effectively they would just restore their dominance on votes
-
so when did it change back? or who has it wrong? or is it all smoke and mirrors?
-
in Fairness 'they' told us Monday *us= the people who pay as much as the broadcasters, in fact dare say, many of 'us' pay twice as the broadcasters get their funding from somewhere too
-
yeah it was certainly implied that a step towards changes was being made but Mr Weir piped up along the lines of some retained? matters would need a larger vote its frustrated me since the day, I even went back through tweets etc before commenting on here that night
-
it was sadly one point that I did not have a clear explanation off to the point that Id say it wasnt made clear deliberatley I cannot remember the exact turn of phrase, which is frustrating, but in essence it was said that the voting would change on some matters but on others all clubs would still be needed and it was not cleared up about which clubs votes on what during the 8/8/8 farce
