I'm almost going to agree with MJC (shoot me now) whilst my view isnt quite as extreme , I do think someone needs to have a word, perhaps a senior player or a coach or even the manager we've all seen his capability, I'm now noticing more problems than benefits in his performances He's still capable and does some good work and he tends to put in a what looks like a shift, and I'm not blaming him in any way for tonights result, but since his return from international duty in the summer there has certainly been a change in his attitude on the park

I doff my cap I'm typing valencia into travel sites a bit too much right now

I think I remember it, an enjoyable game maybe, where neither team were particularly superior but quite evenly matched and both trying to attack and score unlike tonight where we tried not to lose a goal first and foremost, making it a shite game to watch and maybe made both teams look worse than an average SPL side in fact most ST Mirren games I remember are woeful because ST Mirren setup to not to lose and we struggle to score, making us look worse against them than other SPL clubs
-
Can't quite believe I'm reading that St Mirren are better than Valencia Levante UD I can't really judge Valencia Levante as I've seen them once, they didnt exactly look fantastic, but then Motherwell were set up to kill the game tonight, not by player selection but by tactics employed, perhaps if Motherwell had played a wide open game with fullbacks attacking then Valencia Levante would've looked better and scored more? but that'll be speculation on my part I'd speculate that 4 or 5 of their players would waltz into our first team maybe even go as far as 7 or 8 if St Mirren looked better once, I'll bet Motherwell were hell of a lot worse that night edit: for the quite glaring error

I was pleasantly surprised to see we were actually playing differently in the first half It seemed to be all about, not losing that killer away goal in a two legged tie Defence were holding a line, not being dragged forward to make silly challenges that have cost us Midfield were holding a line when defending seemed to me, whilst with hindsight it perhaps was too respectful, that if Hately and co hadnt made a massive mistake letting us go in a 0-0 at H/T, a quarter of the way through the two legged tie would have been seen as reasonably successful as it stands I still view the first half with the exception of the one huge mistake. as reasonable, not enjoyable to watch, but as part of a two leg competition, I can accept that it was worth trying now I think that the second half things should have changed and to be honest there was a spell when it looked like it was going to work, although we were screaming out for a midfielder not only to aide the attack but stop every failed attack turning into a run in on Randolph very surprised Murphy never got switched to the right when Hump went off, even more surprised when Law went off when I thought we needed mobility and that extra midfielder and would have sacrificed Higdon having now seen Valencia the only telling difference they have is composure in front of goal, it would still be an achievment to match them or beat them I just hope McCall sets us up to be mobile fast and has a real go at them in Valencia Hearts and Utd have more attacking players that are physically superior and hell of a lot more mobile than we have , I agree they would have went for the jugular right away and succeeded , thats how they play especially Utd as its their real strength and thats also how they can be unlocked

Feel there has been a distinct lack of build up to this one hardly anything that Ive seen from the club promoting it (i mightve missed it) and the media all focussed on the battle of britain just getting ready to head out and pick up the wee fella, who is fairly excited about it and raring to go having spotted a wellfan in coatbridge on his walk home from school 2-0 Motherwell Cummins and Murphy 7,152

be nice if enough fans could set up a Direct Debit to raise the funds needed for us to be an SPL club still quite a way off that target, before we start signing up players the club cant afford
-
EDIT: I tend to agree its too early in the window for Faddy to sign short term for us, he has to give it the full window to see what transpires, I have no doubt that he would have played for us if the SPL rules allowed Trialists McCall said quite specifically it was a financial issue in todays press conference some of which I've tried to convey below: spoke to James on Friday good football chat and he was open James spoke to higher people, outcome not favourable back in training money side didnt add up MFCtv well worth a few quid a month todays press conference no signings before tomorrow, be nice to get before next thursday up top and wide areas we're as strong as we are certainly need a centre midfielder board we willing to stump up an amount for James and its not been enough He's in training again Dont think they'll be anything else done was only until the next window saying that we have lads like McHugh who done really well and it was hard to leave him out on Saturday
-
is it not, you have to be a free agent whilst the transfer window is still open , hence clubs release players as its about to close not a few weeks after it closes
-
they announced their squad, adding Gekas as they one player change training at Fir park tonight at 630, press conference just before and staying at the Radisson Blu in town

I thought the whole point of these seats, was a competition for every home game to get fans seated next to the dug out. to raise cash converters profile and let fans get exclusive pitch side seats, next to the dug out? EDIT: its a facebook likey thing http://www.facebook.com/CashConvertersSPL/app_386359018089385

-
the news made me really keen to buy tickets for the Euro game
-
They've cancelled the option of their one day charter due to not enough bookings And are charging their fans €32 for Fir Park tickets after Motherwell reported the €26 tickets are depleted?
-
Confirmation they are a bigger club than us They can only add one player to squad to play us, be interesting to see which one they choose
-
you said the club charter is a rip-off, which is what I responded to
