  1. doubt very much there will be any investment of any sorts in January getting papped out one cup and having a loss making game in the other will hardly generate funds for such and no matter the success in the league due to the crazy nature of league payments that money will not be seen for quite some time and with no owner or big cash reserve its crazy talk to think of spending money we dont have. if we are lucky we'll get a squad player in as a boost (hopefully more successful than the last few, who have been moved on?) anything else will involve losing a player or two, so couldn't really be seen as an addition
  2. whats the benefit to the club of experimenting with Friday night football?
  3. suppose we'll see, as the club and league are proposing the experiment to see if crowds might be bigger oh no wait all thats now been chucked right oot the windae, as they've given away free tickets and halved the gate prices things like this just completely break down any trust, with the blatant manipulation of direct factors relating to attendance, how can any actual comparisons be made. I wonder what is the control group, that is being used to measure this against and would love the club and the league to mimic the experiment on a Saturday at 3pm discounts and all the free tickets and discounted prices are not whats wrong here , its the blatant manipulation of factors to artificially boost the results of an test game on a Friday night
  4. a cynic would say it totally undermines the results of the Friday night football experiment as a way of increasing crowds and with it, those in control will claim any boost in the gate as down to their scheduling. despite the presence of what said cycnic would consider no more than a bribe edit: not me though I trust those in charge up by and would never in anyway doubt that this was always on the table before they volunteered MFC for the experiment
  5. if i'm reading these correctly it'll soon be more than 3 years since Aberdeen won against us in the SPL 5 'Well wins and 4 draws http://fussball.wettpoint.com/en/h2h/865-856.html
  6. HAUD THE BUS!! I NEVER STARTED A THREAD CALLED CROWD TROUBLE AT ABERDEEN THEN POSTED ABOUT WELLFANS GET IT SORTED DAVID AND MAKE IT CLEAR
  7. 7-9 points will be acceptable, can always hope for more but we certainly aren't playing well enough to deserve more capable of more , yes, but performances have indicated, we're battling through more games than comfortably beating teams
  8. there are a lot of flaws at most levels at the club and in the team, and if everyone is honest, we all have thoughts on what could be better some air their feelings on here and are seen as super critical and berated or questioned, whereas most will just discuss it at the game or in pub/work with pals look at all the questions about Hughes not walking straight into squad, clearly many think the midfield could be better , yet thats the same midfield thats delivered =2nd same questions can be asked of the goals we're losing mostly from mistakes likewise Higdon or Murphy, neither have really lit up the scoring charts but as a team they are excelling at getting points on the board doesn't stop the football manager in most of us thinking 'what if' or 'xxxx is better' I think its a sign of the successful players that we have had , that despite Higgys success many are thinking 'what if' Skippy, Juke, Clarky, Porter, Faddy, Sutton had been here cannae wait for next seasons 'goalkeeper is shite thread' we have, who we have, at the level we are at, it does seem kind of daft criticising the players but I must admit to thinking, what if, at quite a few times already
  9. the Mantelpiece up at Fir Park is getting kind of full
  10. heard faint feed thru MFCtv of "cheer up Craigie Broon" starting to get sang would've loved to hear the rest of it
  11. why? does he not represent Omar as well?
  12. just some text and twitter feeds that from behind the 'incident' nothing appeared to be amiss until heavy handed stewards then police began wading in, then situation escalated, which led to further fans being removed then later again that another fan was removed various names mentioned from board so they'll tell their story but seems to be the normal service from their public servants and deputys, treating visitors like criminals "stewards sparked incident which led to several wellfans being lifted/thrown out"
  13. still Wellfans getting ejected at Pittodrie Police and stewards already have too much powers which work against law abiding citizens who happen to be attending a sporting event Edit: HAUD THE BUS!! I NEVER STARTED A THREAD CALLED CROWD TROUBLE AT ABERDEEN THEN POSTED ABOUT WELLFANS GET IT SORTED DAVID AND MAKE IT CLEAR

  16. there has been some bizarre sh1t on here the last few days, but you gotta laugh when some fella is concerned about the format of a post and the program used to create it it is the top tip of the day Beware the internet and the large spaces in posts
  17. not sure if appropriate at this time, but longer term any chance it could be moved away from being flash based I suppose it a positive criticism in a way, as I'm only concerned that I'm missing out on stuff, due to volume of content , but as I cannot access it whilst on the move , I'm missing out on much of the value
  18. Forbes had his best ever game up at Pittodrie I'll settle for a similar performance (and result) at the weekend Different players, both add to the squad,
  19. Well, obviously it's not meant to be taken literally; it refers to any manufacturers of dairy products

  21. still dont understand how it closed before it was bumped an end date in the article would've sorted it had it been available to include but fair enough, with all the tech issues I thought it might just not be working for some 'at their end' Cheers for the answer to the query FWIW the programme has been quite good on the rare occasions I buy it

  23. see there is a matchday programme survey linked from the official site clicky I noticed it a couple of days ago and was going to fill it in but when I tried to use the link i got a screen saying the survey had finished at midnight on 7/11/11 prior to it even being promoted on the site (on the 8th) I've tried again today after picking up that others had filled it in but I get the same type of error screen (#109)saying survey had closed on 7/11/11 anybody having similar problems or make a suggestion on how I can get to an open survey
