  1. aberdeen seem to operate on the pricing policy on the assumption that due to distance its only hardcore fans that travel so a few quid etc doesn't change their decision they've always been a few quid above the norm, maybe it because they rate themselves as premium they did however let some of us in for a fiver for our first game against the traitors, probably only out of common courtesy however
  2. nice timing after the huge advert at the front of the East stand on Saturday
  3. more effort needed to separate the different groups if they are to be housed in the same stand. and create a safe zone for our own fans, always plenty talk about looking after Motherwell fans, but nearly always falls done when OF come to town hence folk stay away
  4. and I've watched it about a dozen times on the big telly in slow motion and see no reason to moan about the goal other than it fukin hurt seeing it go in hence I clutched at straws too, hoping it was offside just because the rule is an ass doesn't mean, we were hard done by, the goal was clean. games over, got beat, ref was lenient in general, but officials never got any major decision incorrect, could discuss the only one was Mccourt getting foul from Lasley but as it was well inside their half we should have stopped the attack thereafter, our boys done reasonably well, Celtic done exactly what everybody knows they do and roll about dying at slightest touch and harass officials ( time for senior payers and managers to point it that it is happening before the match to said officials, ie sellik tactics) should've got a point and maybe more, Law, Murph, Hump all had good chances butfailed and as such we would have if we didn't make schoolboy errors, 2nd equal in league thats no too bad for a wee club with about 4500 supporters and a tiny squad with a very tight budget and no owner it still hurts but no half as bad as barely even trying to get something against them and getting humped Bring on the sheepies and the auld goat
  5. I'm not disagreeing with a lot of that Finlay, but are you sure he was on the park? as thats a different story to what was said earlier and certainly not seen from the TV coverage and was he being subjected to any abuse from behind his dugout, we all know Mcall and our own managers have been, so I'd be surprised if someone like lennon was not. he's a twat and a failure as a manager, but as i said seems to get a lot more focus than Butcher or Calderwood for some of the more simplistic gestures that you and others no doubt dont even acknowledge but I'm not overly fussed to discuss much more just that I questioned the description sickening aimed at him for raised arms and fists in the air celebrating a goal a bit precious when compared to the other examples

Surprised Hammell is getting so many votes when he clearly completely lost his man Stokes, for him to score the first, sure he had a good game otherwise but that error rules him out motm Clancy also had a great 80mins befor his kick out at hooper and although I'm not sure thats what he got red for it was stupid our flair players let us down, or were asked to do too much hardwork to create maybe? has to be between Lasley and Jennings for me, no shock that hey scored almost immediately after we removed the wall in the middle, not sure why Jenno was removed but we missed him right away Lasley was also a bit soft in the only challenge on Mccourt as he danced all the way from his own half to our box, sadly he missed him but I reckon if we had Jennings they'd have stopped him together, but as he still had another 40yds to go and nobody stopped him can't really attribute the goal against Las vote to Lasley, he's had a great revival since his latest kid was born
  7. the referee as really quite lenient today , both Lasley and Jennings could have been booked a lot earlier and even though they were eventually carded for fairly innocuous (sp?) challenges they were probably deserved for the amount of times they fouled beforehand, and could've walked for a couple tackles thereafter he did get it wrong a couple of times but I'm not sure it changed the result , I personally think the sending of was not for the challenge/clash but for a wrongly adjudged headbut but we'll have to wait and hear what it was for ( as McCall has said it was correct after speaking to Clancy) and it was clear from the TV that the ref didnt see anything untoward he reacted to his earpiece shout from the assistant who was at the far side of the pitch as for Lennon, he is a fud, but I reckon a few of our fans are being a bit precious over his celebration, remember all the Celtic board and officials are sitting right at the front of the exec' section in the middle of the POD. our team did pretty good today, a couple were outstanding, a couple made some marginal errors that cost us a couple of goals, and the usual suspects made the usual mistakes that they are well known for and usually put us in more pressure than we need to be. Celtic took advantage more than the rest have, and we didn't have the ability or resource to put them under real pressure
  8. well thats a choice Jim, sort of answers the question doesn't it love folk that mouth of about freedom of choice but question others
  9. deserved more from the game than a little pride of not getting humped imho ref got card wrong thinking headbutt from wrong viewing angle as he didnt stop game on initial challenge edit: but their 2nd goal was onside, no doubt watching it back in slow motion, he was in line with the ball player as the pass was made and moved forward onto it, just dissapointed craggs didnt block it players had terrific workrate early on, tackling and closing down every Celtic player, so i'm pretty dissapointed Mccourt was allowed to dance about pretty much whenever he had the ball, way too much respect shown for him. why? applauding their fans, was calderwood celebration sickening or Butchers? dry yir eyes, he's a shite manager but no dumbass, he's playing all those fools , and they are all lapping it up, even though he is failing.
  10. MFCtv has live audio coverage, can't quite call it neutral however its safe to say thats its better than Burley and co its also marginally in front of my tv so makes for an interesting viewing perspective
  11. start of the todays match Fatcalf will be pleased ?
  12. no game on Saturday but if there was a game and your mobile phone had a flash player capabilities and internet connection then yes if its an apple then no (missed a trick)
  13. this thread is pointless why is it pinned? random topic even though there was another thread at the time, its been up for two months includes a loaded picture and nobody reads it( probably cause its pinned ) albi made more sense
  14. because the BBC doesnt value the SCottish game as highly as the EPL or even the Football league as MOTD/2 and the football league show are so much better, even though the like of shearer are brutal the fact that MOTD shows so much footage softens the blow of the chronic patter edit: as for Levein, staggering
  15. caleyjags.com really is the winner when it comes to match photos Decorator is gonna be pleased with number 95 although his apprentice will be dissapointed only one of the boys is in it
  16. 5 places sounds at least one too many for the SPL
  17. Naw it doesnae you're right, outside the capital or largest cities naw some peeple do things erse for elba, Not all of us :moonie: but eh aye? we're a no bad wee team
  18. I'll take a dour 0-0 draw right now but it would be sweet to win it
  19. I'm not offended by Friday night fixtures, especially if it's not on TV, but it is very poor, that yet again the last people that are considered are the very people that have already committed money to the club, and its all very well the superfans saying they buy their season tickets and accept all the schedule changes, but having been there and eventually losing out so much, I see this as just another badly managed change that doesn't promote MFC or the SPL in a good light. the proposal isn't bad, but it smacks of firefighting instead of properly planned and implemented improvements, taking into account all the stakeholders and managing it accordingly I don't think the yardstick is even close to measuring success or failure, it doesn't take into account the negative effect on the very fans that every management team at Fir park give lipservice to, by promising to look after the core support before randoms that fancy a Friday night jaunt out there is a balance but match scheduling (mainly due to TV) is harming attendances more than most decisions and as for those arguing four weeks is plenty time to adapt your life around schedule changes, is that really how the league think its going to raise attendances? by making Football as difficult as possible to fit into peoples schedules and putting itself in direct conflict with their or their families other activities, baws!, every organisation and frequent activity has regular days and times in order that people can fit it into their lives and only non regular events like like concerts and champions league games will be make folk in general change schedules to accomodate the change, but even they are usually well in advance I was wondering whats happening to the Fir Park party nights that were heavly promoted and 'almost sold out', wonder if the function rooms were booked out for Friday nights in December or if the club had kept this one free for an unplanned football game
  20. wonder if he would show his undoubted talent every week when he was called upon or if he would go missing?
  21. yes there must be dozens but they choose Bathgate to deliberately piss off non drivers that very rarely would ever go to the games and reward PostieJim for going on occasion.
