Miller's shooting is of a higher quality than Gilmour. In fact tonight Miller would have been a better option. Dykes ahead of even a fat Shankland says it all about Clark.

Totally agree with your comments David. Look at how Turnbull was and is still over looked or more recently Gauld. Players that are physically strong and can run are preferred over technically gifted players. I thought we had moved passed the big strong laddie approach. But when you have Gemmil (what's he done to merit his position?) and safety first Clark then modern and forward thinking coaching is not happening. Look at Northern Irelands and Wales approach. Playing young players and building for the future. Our dour faced manager only thinks about the coming 90 minutes and not getting beat. See how that's going. As been said there have been plenty of opportunities to give fringe players some experience but he picks the same players who have failed over and over. Guys like Max Johnstone should be playing ahead of Devlin and Ralston. Miller should be getting minutes at a higher level to get him learning. Playing with better players can only help him improve. It's beyond the time for a fresh approach on and off the field. But when you see how our outgoing chairman saw the world, then we can't really be surprised that others running the game are equally clueless and lack any intelligence or desire to improve things.

Seems killie are having same crowd control issues in their stand. Stairs no where to be seen.
-
It can't be easy to come on as a sub for us. As it usually means our midfield have totally disappeared, and defence are shelling balls for you to chase with little support.
-
Not just us. They had a very soft penalty awarded last week! To not highlight the penalty only adds to fan frustrations. Mind you I'm sure wee willie will be along to tell us that we are all wrong and it was a stonewaller. You would think having more cameras at the game would help the referees. Surely more footage to study, do they study?, would aid consistancy. These decisions change games, and costs managers jobs. The fact the two side assistants and referee missed a punch into the net, is probably more a worry. Just as well VAR did what it's ment to do, ie clear and obvious.
-
Irrespective stealing yards goes on every week. As said it seems we are the only team to get punished for it. As for the corner. Anybodies guess why it went against us.
-
Bump. Another shocker from the officials. Why is it that we seem to be the only team punished for apparent foul throws? In swinging corner deemed to have gone out of play?? Also thought they had toned down hand ball penalties. These unknown numpties they keep promoting beyond their abilities is farcical.

Thought Seddon done very well with his defending and creative passing.
-
Great 3 points given we were very poor 2nd half. Ref and VAR got Saints back into the game and killed any attacking threat we had. Sitting deep and letting Saints pass it about like Barcelona is not my idea of entertainment. Seddon, sparrow and kaleta were the stand outs.
-
Need another goal to win this. Can't see st johnstone not getting a chance.
-
Very poor 2nd half from us
-
Sitting to deep.

Var lottery every week. Get it to feck
-
Ref has been against us all game. Never a penalty.
-
Joke. Turned his back on ball

Clinical when we were not doing alot. We have grown into the game. St johnstone passing around and as expected causing a few issues. Miller having a quieter game.

Motherwell v Rangers League Cup Semi final Nov 2/3

Tonight's results mean nothing. It's going to be very difficult to get a result. -
Great 3 points. Wilson should stay in the middle. Composed on the ball and reads play and defends brilliantly.

Aerial tussle likes AP, but no booking. Consistency?
-
Nice finnish
-
Aggressive with this brutal ref. He's giving us nowt. AP booked for jumping for the ball and utd player play acting.
-
He ain't on loan. He just signed an extended deal.
-
SKs loyality to certain players will cost him in the end. Teams need to evolve, if only to keep your opponents guessing. If we don't have the technical abilities to pass and keep the ball, we need to be more physical and pace to get about the pitch.

It's time their allocation was cut and told it won't return to normal levels until Celtic and authorities get control. It might hurt us financially but that's better than life's being lost. This issue can't continue. Ban all their support, much like The Rangers on safety grounds. We might actually benefit on the playing field if they are surrounded by our support only.

I don't disagree about our tactics versus Dundee, but that was a typical post break performance. We lacked energy, sharpness and were sloppy in possession. Makes you wonder what they are doing in training during each break.
