Scottish Premiership Game 18: Kilmarnock (A) 16/12/17 15:00
Orinoco replied to Yabba's Turd's topic in Club Chat
We are up against an inform killie team, with several important players missing, and yet we are only losing to a goal gifted apparently by the goalie. We are just going through abit of down turn just now, juts like every other team throughout the season. Im sure given time we will turn the form around. I have more faith in this squad than previous squads irrespective of a poor run of results. -

not a bad person. i used to care, but now i just shrug given the various circumstances. we were on a hiding to nothing today. its been a hard week and we just dont have the squad to compete for three games in a row over 6 days. -

who really cares about today? could be 20 nowt for all i care. means nothing in the grand scheme of things. results against the others that matter. -
ones if those days again where little went for us.

mcfaddens recent comments in the media have made him appear to be bitter and clueless. easy to see why he was removed as assistant.

I thought managers were not allowed to criticise referees to the extent of the old firm managers comments. where is the referee chief defending his guys? just underlines who is running the game up here.

and a club who left it until the 11th hr to object to maximise the damage to our team shape etc. where we had little opportunity to produce evidence that there is no longer a problem. all hearsay of course, but you know how the rangers work.

Scottish Premiership Motherwell V St Johnstone Sat 18 Mar 15:00

we've been poor for a while now at stopping crosses coming as many have said. tho, having a goalie who refuses to come of his line even occasionally hardly discourages the oposition from punting the ball high into our box. hence the defence is constantly under severe pressure. we badly need an organiser at the back. which is something that an experienced competent goalie should be doing and guess what we don't have. our young players are getting no help from our experienced players or from some fans who constantly scream abuse. when a team struggles it's amazing how many hide in the medical room or on the pitch. we are a group of individuals, not a team. a proper hard working team have players working their arses off to help fellow team mates and not trotting back and blaming everyone else for individual mistakes. good teams have a strong spine down the center. we have plenty of experience down the spine, but they are not delivering. Only hard work and strikers taking their chances is going to get us out of this mess. -
To get a fee if he signed for another club. Only he accepted our offer.

You would think that being the number one seed, Rangers would need to travel to Fir Park.

very good result. long overdue a late goal in out favour...

A good and important win. Utd can whinge all they like about decisions, but any team that tries to waste time from the 23rd min of a game. kick and impede players off the ball, and fail to defend properly then tough titties. I like Hammell alot, but his defending for their goal was pathetic. Play to the whistle, block the shot, etc. As for the right side of our defence in the first half, where was it? The second half the work rate, guile and commitment from all the players was immense, and for that we deserved our win. I thought ferdinand and scholes had the petted lip cornered, but it seems Jackson has muscled in! Craigan and McAllister stayed neutral, but Jackson just grumpled utter biased mince. Get it up you Jackson.

Yes, hopefully our luck and form has turned for the better.

Just goes to show that playing more attacking players tends to lead to more goals. It also helps when we get the rub of the green. Very good and important result tonight. Big pat on the back to players and management tonight. Hopefully we can build on this.

Ripley Watt Kennedy Laing Hammell Gomis Cadden Faddy Johnson Moult Fletcher Given the team wont be anything like the above, we will lose 2 nil sadly. Then the fun begins...

McGhee at this point in time, is being out managed by the Archibalds, McCullochs, Hartley's etc etc. Guess it's upto him to show his ability matches his ego and he is a cut above these guys. Clocks ticking....

Could our downturn in form be connected to a probable reduction in win bonuses? With Dempster in charge we were romping the league and losing money left right and center. She leaves, we get perhaps a proper grip on finances and suddenly the desire, energy and hunger to win seems to have vanished, bar the playoffs where presumable the players got a small incentive. Once that goes, and we start to lose, confidence gets hammered, and it's hard to get that back. I also don't think this chat about trusting certain players in public by the manager is anything other than stupid. Given the nature of the game a manager is going to need his full squad to be onside and motivated. If you worked under a manager that did not trust you, would you give 100%? The managers job is to get the most out of all his players. It would seem since McGhee arrived certain players progression have stalled and in many cases went backwards. Why? It would appear our team's attacking ability has now been blunted by attempts (change of tactics) to address our defensive frailties. We dont have the players to defend, so why not just unleash the attacking players and go for it?

Yet, music festival crime is on the increase.....

Not good management to single out one player. Ainsworth is an all out attacker, and like Sutton before him will switch off in his own box from time to time. We aint playing that badly, and going by the radio we were the most likely to snatch a winner. But as normal, a nothing shot which for once was closed down, and flukes its way into the net. At the other end there player was in the right place to clear of the line. Fine margins.

going by the hearts forums he's apparently passed his sell by date, he oftens gets caught on the ball, give stupid free kicks away and contract runs til june 2017. Basically not good enough for them, now they are destined to bigger things. Time will tell, but at least its someone in who can play midfield.
