  1. even at the end, where we were getting ball wide and some joy. He brings on Mugabi, and all we got after that was big punts to their defenders and no wide play. in hindsight, and something most on here called for we should have played two upfront, been more in their face from the start, with two pacey wingbacks and played through the midfield. Hearts pressed us early doors, our defence bottled it and midfield hid, resulting in punts up the park for our strikers to chase and chase. Confidence is obviously low, but noone is taking any responsibility on the park.
  2. Got what we deserved. Manager got it wrong again. To narrow and passive first half. Second half we started better and pressed them and played a little bit. Then we fell out of it and that was that, bar the penalty. Manager is way to loyal to players who are either passed it or off form. You can see difference when Gent and Spencer came on. That second goal we conceeded was so soft and easy. Three center backs, yet all were posted missing.
  3. should be about 8 mins of extra time
  4. get gent on. finally brings him on and we get the full backs we want on!
  5. no service to strikers and he then replaces the strikers.
  6. oh to have a left footer at left back!
  7. even hearts commentator says it was the correct decision not to give it.
  8. BBC going with a still picture of the so called penalty. Boyce?? was already on the way down when Casey lunged at him.
  9. Not true, he tracked back at the end there and won a header against two hearts players at back post. Bair, on the other hand has been dreadful. Mind you long punts up the park for them to chase is hardly providing a service to them.
  10. need to get the young full backs on at half time. We need pace and width. We are far to narrow and hearts have all the time in the world in wide areas.
  11. Could be wrong, but I thought oxborough was glued to his line, much like Kelly in the cup games. For a big lad, I don't think he was commanding. Maybe he was following orders. Its surely something the goalie coach should be looking at.
  12. Modern life is rubbish eh. People don't have any patience anymore and everything needs to happen now for their own benefit and apparent well being. Social media helps the minority to whip up a crisis, when in the past it was a blip. Club success anywhere rarely happens overnight and managers need time to build a team, especially clubs who don't have much money. Every teams fans forum, say the same. Sack. The manager as he's hopeless etc etc. Perhaps we can be different for once and our fan base can be a bit more realistic about our level in the game and support the manager/players.
  13. Apart from setplays, st johnstone offered nothing in attack. We generally tried to play through them, but until Gent arrived on the field we failed to create anything for the front two. Gents arrival injected width and pace. Play was then stretched which suited us. The team has character, but players need to be more switched on and take responsibility in defence, by attacking the ball. As much as some here will not like it, we ain't any worse or better than many teams in this league. Luck plays a big part when teams are similar.
  14. now that we are scoring goals, any chance lads we can stop conceding soft goals from crosses.
  15. take it wee davor is pants. we need some energy in the middle
  16. starting to get decisions from the referee.
  17. put their defence under pressure, and they will concede.
