    Baraclough Out

The day we appoint Calderwood, is the day i'm totally finnished with scottish football. The damage has been done early doors with poor fitness, training, attitude and decisions by all in charge. We now have a manager walking on egg shells trying to pamper some of these players into a semi decent performance. Should he be more ruthless with these guys like Gannon was, probably. But, perhaps he is to nice. These players shafted McCall and Black. People they apparently liked! There is plenty of experienced players in our squad that are more than capable of ignoring the manager and doing whatever it takes to win a game of football. Sadly, as many have said they simply appear not to care. Hence, why a new manager at this point will simply fail to achieve anything other than oversee our relegation. There is no easy or quick solution to this shambles.
  2. Given we've been training on how to win the ball high up the field. Was there any evidence of this today?
  3. So does that mean we have a divide between manager, players and fans now? What a complete mess. Where's the leader at the top that we've been asking for ages to slap some heads and get this sorted before its to late.
  4. to be fair to all posted. We are beyond the point of positivety, unity etc. Management and players need to show now.
  5. i think i remember wee tommy signing a guy called Baker. Who was ditched pronto after his debut. All managers sign duds. Granted it's upto the manager to ditch quickly tho. Over to you Bara.
  6. this team was heading to the bottom from day one of the season. Any new manager is fighting a losing battle with the shower of manure pretending to be players. Now thats the imposters.
  7. apparently radio said their was a lack of leadership and effort. Buck for leadership stops with Lasley, McManus, Ramsden,Sutton. Cant believe the young guys lack effort so again its the senior players that are letting us and the club down. Sacking a manager because a few players noses are out of joint (some of whom will be out of the door shortly) is madness. However, Bara needs to drop those senior players now before its to late. They've had far to many chances and failed every one. There appears to be an agenda by the players who influence the squad by the looks of things. Some are hiding in the treatment room and some have downed tools. There is no way any young player brought into this situation can be judged until the rotten core has been ditched. Perhaps asking the players to be professional and get themselves fit with more intense training is not to their liking. Asking for a manager to be sacked for trying to do the correct things is the wrong move.
  8. Maybe wee scotty mcdonald fancies playing for us again.

    Relegation

Lets just hold the worry until it happens. The Rangers might require league reconstruction to get them into the top league, and we all know how that works.
  10. John Gardiner trumps everyone in my book.
  11. or better still, instead of paying the players, pay us punters to watch them!
  12. We badly need an organiser/leader at the back.
  13. Mcmanus is bar one game the consistant in defence. Hes a liability.
  14. Another header another goal. Who is at fault this time? Probably one on the usual culprits. We cant defend.
  15. Its you that needs to get a grip.
  16. Crickey, not happy about writing players off after 1 game, we are now writing off players who we've not even signed yet. Some need to get a grip on reality. Remember some of our best players have come out of nowhere with no apparent pedigree, i.e. McDonald, Arnott, Kirk, Law etc etc. We need players in and time will tell on whether they do/did a good job for us, so give it a rest about he's crap etc. Just be happy that we are actually involved in a last day transfer window, after all these boring non events in previous years.
  17. Given the circumstances, that was a good battling point. We are getting their slowly.
  18. The question i would like asked directly to the players, is whats has happened to the team spirit. Nobody is busting a gut to help a fellow teammate, no pats on the back to encourage, no bollockings demanding more, noone trying to organise. Just random guys with the same colour jersey trotting about with an apparent no giving a feck. Sure lack of confidence, can effect players, but even an below average team busting a gut can get mid table in the top league. We fought to 2nd last year. this year no fight what so ever.
  19. Nothing unlucky about Not defending set plays yet again. Given the amount of actual so called defenders in the team, it's something that should not be happening every game.
  20. My concern, maybe because i know so little about our manager, is that he talks a good game, but has he pulled the wool over our decision makers eyes about what he can actually do. Still think Black influence is more of a hinderance, and that some of our players are hiding in the treatment rooom. It's still early days, but for a guy who says he is an organiser, i reckon we've become even softer and more ill disciplined. We are heading down, and you know what i dont really care such is the apathy i feel for this team. Sad days.
  21. Our goalie reminds me alot of Mark Brown, remember him?? Good at stopping shots but a total bombscare at crosses and did not or could not organise the defence. Alot has been said of our poor or lack of midfield, but a commanding goalie or at least a guy who can organise the defence can and has in the past papered over the cracks. We badly need to build our team from the back. Get a big goalie in, who can command the box. This will at least give our defence some freedom to push forward.
  22. 1st goal: Kerr gave the ball away. But who's mistake was it to be so out of line of the others in the backline, then try play offside and then give up the chase? We are not talking about a youngster here, its McManus a guy who's got international experience for fecks sake. 2nd goal: Goalie makes a mess of things, and it costs us again.
  23. The manager was probably protecting Thomas today by putting him on the bench.
  24. can only presume his injury knackered any chance he had in the game. Kerr is young player, who will make mistakes. But playing out of position and then being put in your natural position with a center back of McManus' lack of ability has certainly not helped him and if anything made him worse. Remember Hutchinson seemed to go backwards when paired with McManus.
