nice reward for the players busting us a gut to get us to the position we are in today, reduced terms! So yet again we have a thread discussing players moving on or having to accept reduced terms and the squad being shrunk again. All of this on the back of another successful season. You've got to wonder where all this extra prize money is going, that we dont apparently budget for? If europe is not a financial windfall, that we all think it is, then why bother chasing a european place? in fact given the pampering to Rangers and apparent reliance of their dirty money, why bother playing at this level at all.

jennings - our midfield! he was everywhere.
-
hows about the following team for remaining games:- saunders hutchinson Clancy Hammell law, lasley jennings and hateley murphy and higdon
-
we could have had 50000 fans at an old firm game, it still aint going to encourage a performance out of them.
-
Daley for me could not beat his man, did not track back, and strolled about. offered nothing. Hateley cant cope with anyone running at him, he's not got a clue what to do. His attempts at crosses are laughable. Dont they practice with the ball?
-
It's hard to slate Carswell as he is a very young player, and has alot to learn. Dont think he's ready to play against the best team in the league. But then what other options do we have? The buck stops with McCall for playing him.
-
agree about those three players. They might have won the league, but they were gifted the points today. Standing off them letting them put in good crosses is never a clever tactic. We played today like a pre season friendly. When you think about it the ref hardly had anything to do, which means we did not get into them, which is what is required to beat them.
-
you need to out battle them in midfield. today we were to light in that department.
-
perhaps but d,aley never once tracked back to help hammell when he was on the park. Our problem today was that jennings was the midfield, he got no help from carwell or law, and was bound to tire. We missed lasleys drive.

Looking at the bbc website there is a picture of Lennon and FORSTER confronting the referee. Lennon's been discussed, but surely the authorities should be looking at Forster's conduct, and be offering him a ban. We've have had players banned for nothing compared to Forster's apparent threatening demeaner towards the referee. Perhaps someone more technical than me can point relevant authorities to this incident.
-
hearts have proved nothing that we dont know already. You need to get in and about them for the full 90 mins. Professional curtisy would say we should clap them onto the park. As i would also say please dont abuse Lennon. Shows we are above all there bitter nonsense, and are a respectable club. Roar our own team on, and all that.

they are young players, who will have their ups and downs. They have also played alot of games.

we did merit a draw as hibs did nowt in the 2nd half. we huffed and puffed and got our only real break of the ball all game. thought big hutch & page did well in keeping their front two quiet.
-
Page deserved both cards, but was unlucky we very caught short at back after giving the ball away in attack.
-
we need a lift. who should get sent off?
-
that last bit of play hibs had 8 players in and around the edge of their box.
-
our current assistant Kenny Black.
-
and watch out for their officials to be appointed. whats the wee baldy bassa (linesman) called?
-
to be fair it aint just our support. As for the individuals they are obviously from the schooling of negativity is the best course of support. Hopefully Tom wont dwell on it to much.
-
even if money for the club does not concern them, you would think a professional player would bust a gut to get the chance of champions league football. At this point in the season, players cant be excused for lack of effort.
-
perhaps we need to go back to the old tactics we had before ojamaa arrived for away games. Maybe we are just a little to open. We dont need to chase games away from home. Page has been unlucky given that until the Aberdeen game he rarely played in his correct position. Where as Hutchinson waltzed into his best position and looked the part, althougth still capable of the odd mistake given his lack of experience. As someone said we are picking up alot of bookings for nothing, which begs the question about officials bias. Perhaps, bskyb had a wee word in the ear of the officials to ensure a tittle play off tomorrow! Seems daft to say that, but it seems they already dictate to much to our league for entegrity not to be questioned. Our players made mistakes that cost the goal, but perhaps the early bookings was enough to put certain players off their game.

I wish people would stop saying bad day at the office. If office workers had as many off days as professional players they would be out of a job pronto. Anyhow, killie was always going to be a difficult game, and i would have grabbed a draw beforehand. However, worrying it seems we failed to turn up in the second half, and then make stupid mistakes. Seems a theme to our game of late to only play in parts of games., We've perhaps been lucky to get away with it, but now we really need to knuckle down and fight for every point. It's now time our players and staff smashed this Rangers hoodoo. Our club needs the extra revenue, which would go a long way in securing our future and perhaps some of the players futures.

No way will we get 2nd. We just dont seem to have the mentality to get over the winning line. We have done very well this season, but this is the business end of the season, and is where we find the men from the boys.

Orinoco replied to Ocelot Groomin''s topic in Club Chat
Uncertainty and divisions, aye very good celtic. yet their talk of leaving the spl is ok? Call there bluff. They have more to lose, big salaries/squad and all that. -
