its good they were arguing, it shows they care and are committed. I would be more concerned if they were all smiles when they walked off. We need to get the home win monkey of our back, and quick. Tho, Hibs always cause us problems, so losing at half time was no great shock.

i remember the days when a draw against utd, was deemed a good result. I also remember reading a certain poster stating they dont fancy Hughes much in a battle, yet are suddenly suprised he aint playing in a battle in a middle of a weather storm Whilst, it's frustrating we aint battering teams 5 nil at home, we should be flattered that teams are trying to park the bus. Even the best teams in the world often struggle to beat well organised defensive teams, so why should we be any different given our lack of resources? I would take a draw at home most weeks if our away form continues as it is. I reckon we are about 3 wins away from being safe from relegation! As long as we continue to pick up points in most of our games, we will be fine.

it's all if's and but's. Sell one or two, use money to resign those others on better terms seems the normal. We are having one of our best seasons so far for many a year, so why worry about future seasons. We've always managed to do quite well, at times when things seem bleak. Cannae see many players wanting to leave if we are in the champions league next season

given our exploits in the league and cup last season, we were told that we were on a good financial basis for 2-3 years, and one of the reasons we managed to not sell anyone in the summer. So whats changed? Remember, our squad actually shrunk in the summer yet again. To sell a valuable team member in January would be stupid, given his backup is injured and the difficulties in replacing him at that time. We have a hard enough job bringing players in the summer, never mind January. So whilst, we should not stand in the way of a player bettering himself, the timing of any move has to benefit both parties, and January would not seem to benefit us, especially given how well we are doing. As for the valuation, seems somewhat low, given that apparent urgent need of the buying club (if Leeds) to solve a problem area. They want him that bad, let them pay over the odds. Yes, perhaps we are a selling club, but i thought the days of letting players go on the cheap was behind us, as we were investing in these players to sell on at a good price. Once you deduct fees, tax, vat, and costs to replace the player, i doubt any money left would be significant to make any real difference to our budgets. As someone said, you let players go cheaply, i aint putting money into the club. I wonder how many others feel the same.

yes i know, it aint match fixing charge, i was answering a point a poster made previously about how the football authorities could use that charge to suspend the player.
-
Read what your saying, but i am not sure how match fixing can be brought into it. Plenty of teams have won or lost with players being sent off, so i cant see how they could prove his sending off ensured a result. Sure, they might be able to prove it was deliberate sending off to take a few quid of the bookies, hardly in the same league IMO as apparently raping someone, assaulting someone, taking drugs and running from a police officer who's trying to detain them etc etc. If the SFA/SPL suspend Jennings, then they leave themselves open to alot of flack about the other individual actions. But then, when did the authorities ever deal consistantly with players and clubs As for the club, they cant do anything other than back their player until a jury finds him guilty. Anything other could have a bearing on any court hearing, if it goes that far. I should add, that if the bookies had not been so careless with their odds, and the referee been competent, remember the SFA had concerns about this referee's behavour, then this event probably does not happen.

Given goodwillie, o'connor and others have been allowed to continue to play with court appearances pending, jennings will surely be allowed to play as well.

you missed the main one : Some of our so called supporters are PISH

We know we can beat Utd. As long as the team turn up and give 100%, and dont do anything stupid at the back, then simples!
-
theyve exhausted that line, thankfully. Given my age, not be long until the cardigans and slippers start to arrive tho

Nothing seemed to work for the big fellow and got frustrated. Murphy wants to get involved and comes deep and leaves higdon on his own. Murphy or others need to be closer to higdon to be effective.
-
Enjoyed todays rare visit and company. Not the greatest performance, but we got the goal that was going to seperate the teams,by a player showing abit of hunger. Nice we pressie on my birthday.
-
simples: stop crosses comming into our box! Over to our full backs and wide players...

Having giants battering opponents mentality is what is holding this country back. The technical ability in this country is shocking. Kicking opponents off the park, is what Pressley has got his team doing, just like what he did, is not a approach i would like, even if it ment winning against Rangers. Obviously, Rangers had an off night, the referee allowed the aggressive nature of their opponents, and Falkirk had alot of luck. I won't happen very often.

humphrey has one of his better games, and should be dropped. Aye, that will do his confidence a world of good.
-
swap law (our best creative player) with Forbes, and Murphy with Humphrey (tho he appears injured) and that aint that bad for a 451 Ideally would like us to play a 442 with daley and humph on wings, but reckon we will need to match up with the dons 451

Dont you just love fans opinions that they know better than professionals. Every manager in the world is tactically inept, has no plan B, poorly timed subs, dont sign the right players. Arsene Wegner anyone? As ive said previously it seems our team can combine results with little given away at the back, and then combine to undo the good work and do the opposite over a period of fixtures. Some would say thats inconsistency. Given that we play the same teams over and over again in a small area of the country is it hardly suprising that opposition managers can suss our tactics and plan accordingly, i.e. there defence drops a little deeper, man mark Murphy etc etc. We are at the stage where we are playing good football, teams are wary of this, and set up as if they are playing the old firm. After all, it's easier to setup and stop opposition play and play boring negative football, and hope to pinch a goal via a set piece. We've done that with Brown and that was dull and probably made some fans give up. For me realisticly we will always struggle to win anything, so its better having a go at being entertaining. Sure, we might lose a few goals, but we might also score a few ourselves, and be entertained. We do have an honest team of players, who suprisingly given the flack they get, usually give there all. Sometimes, luck deserts us like last night, and we lose. Nothing new there, so why the over the top reactions? We've been here so many times before after a defeat. When players are lacking confidence, why do certain fans feel the need to abuse them verbally? Do they think it does any good? Surely, by now our fans should be able to tell that abusing certain players does not get the best out of them. I do have concerns about what Weir said about wage budgets and what materialised. Whether it was McCalls fault that more players did not arrive is difficult to confirm, as we dont have all the facts, and we probably wont be told. I would say that is was not that long ago, fans were asking for Hutchison to be given his chance, at a time when he admits he was struggling in the reserves. He was given the chance probably because we had no other options, and has never looked back. Fast forward to this season, and i can see similar situation with Page. I hope he gets that chance, is encouraged by the fans, and shines.

takers Higdon, Hateley, Forbes, Murphy & Law ?? hopefully in front of cooper
-
have we used our 3rd sub? ie forbes
-
seeems big randolph is playing a blinder tonight
-
seems the motherwell way, long periods of hardly giving a goal away and then we give away goals galore! How can a teams confidence vary so much?
-
presume o'connor will be first in line for a drugs test. What they going to do when he ends up in prison.
-
Cant say i am suprised by yesterdays result, as it happens time afer time. I also cant say i am suprised by the reactions by some. Given our resources, it's a miracle we've got a team of average to good footballers who would want to play for us. We have no right to win every game, and have to earn it. Maybe the players have forgotten this and believed the hype. Time to draw a line, roll up the sleeves and move on. It was only three points dropped and there is plenty of time to make this up.
-
Not suprised by todays scoreline. The bottom line like every other season, is although the old firms standards have dropped they still can afford to purchase strikers who can put the ball in the net. Workrate and tactics help of course to beat them, but LUCK is the key. Had Murphy's goal stood, then like many games before it's a different game. One of these days when we least expect it we will get the luck needed. It's obvious that McCall does not think that outwith Forbes anyone else on the bench is ready for the first team. Players need to be brought in, and pronto. We need a striker, sod this wide player malarky, get a central striker or two in. Next few games will tell us alot about our teams character.

according to radio scotland, thats correct he does not have a uk visa yet and wont play tomorrow.
