the argument about results over performances beckons. Given the amount of points we've got this season, i would say the tactics have been ok. But if you play the same team at least 3 times a season then off course those tactics aint going to work every time. Our resources has probably dictated a lack of Plan B. We don't have the personnel to change.

has the ref got relatives down in Liverpool? said it last night, but Jennings will be made an example off. All sort of things will be thrown at him.

Your right about habit. I stopped buying a season ticket the season McLeish took over. At that time i felt the fun, excitement and quality on show at Fir Park had gone, and that i was better spending my money on my family. I did promise myself i would try to go to at least a few games. Initially, i managed that and then gradually i was lucky if i saw them twice a season, and eventually stopped all together. It's amazing how seasons pass by and you know what i lost all interest and did not miss it one bit. Only in recent seasons i rekindled the interest due to the original steelmen site and the passion the posters showed, but even then i picked which game i would attend. Now, i am probably back at the point where if i can go, i don't go and you know what i don't feel guilty about it. Motherwell FC and SPL/SFA have a duty to sell their product to me. But given recent events, and attitude shown be those in charge of game and i include the police and stewards, especially towards fans, i can't be bothered anymore. It's only a game, and there are plenty of other things i could do with my time. Sure, Motherwell FC will suffer, but they by association have contributed to the shambles that is Scottish Football. Self preservation will stop any recovery, so we may as well, not bother trying to be positive. Doom and gloom, perhaps, but can anyone else name a entertainment product where the punters continue to attend, given the total lack of quality, integrity, excitement and fun?

that daft thing is, is it not the same ref who sits down and makes the decision on the appeal? I can see Jennings being made an example off. They could not possibly do it against the old firm, but a wee diddy team........
-
no i do get your point, i just feel that those punters that have not been scunnered to the extent that you say, could finally throw in the towel if say McPherson was appointed.
-
quite possibly? BBC is fast becomming like the scum bag other media outlets.
-
Boyle is perhaps one wrong managerial appointment away from knocking hundreds off future Fir Park attendances for ever more.
-
tonight was the probably the first time, i've not had to witness the long ball football from us. We tried to pass, and failed. Hearts punted upto the big man, and hey presto they win. Hearts tonight looked like a Dundee Utd team under Levein. That same look that Levein wants for scotland.

no suprise there! tweaking of report already in motion. Perhaps Jennings should come out and do a Hooper.
-
the only way scottish football is going to be saved and be competitive and worth watching, will be the season when the old firm aint in the league.
-
the thing is they are making an erse of even easy decisions, like blocking a quick free kick, which in any other game i've seen is a booking to the player doing it. Much like Thompson, not sending off or booking the Hamilton player for denying a goal scoring opportunity. Player a trips someone and is booked, player B trips someone and nothing! No consistancy. The best refs in the world talk to players. Just goes to show that all this trying to keep in with refs and not criticising them by our club, has really helped not!
-
the thing is you might think that way, but im sure many probably already dont go for that reason, as well as sitting in the freezing cold! Our stadium was empty tonight for two top six teams in the top league.
-
Game is almost up thanks to the confession of McDonald. We all know that if a ref makes a shocking decision, the report will be tweaked to ensure no comeback. Integrity and respect my erse. Perhaps, it's time for the players to go on strike until the refs sort themselves out. The players union is quick to get their faces on TV for none payment of wages, but what about standing up for their players where issues like tonight arise.
-
blackman's lost interest, more like Blackman was man handled all night, got no protection or service. He's a young guy, he cant be expected to do it all on his own.
-
the talk is it was dissent. quite convienent that. Must have been a death threat, because Craigan spent most of the game telling the ref to F off.
-
apart from the pass where the goal was scored, he spent all night giving the ball away. Tell you what he aint that much quicker than Forbes. At least Forbes passes to a team mate. Sutton should have been on long before he did. Reynolds and Craigan would fit in well at Aberdeen!
-
tell you what we better come up with a plan b and quick. When the opposition stop our wide players, we struggle big time. We created all our own problems tonight, not sure we can say that was due to not playing for a few weeks, as performances like that are becomming common at Fir Park.
-
if we dont appeal that then we may as well just not bother playing anymore. The standard of refs in this country is a disgrace. No doubt the ref will change his story to ensure he looks correct, i.e. he threatened me blah blah. It was obvious jennings was only trying to get his attention, and any ref who knows the game would know jennings was claiming in desperation, hardly a crime and a half decent ref would have to him to not be so stupid and f off. They want respect, no chance after that performance.
-
if thats the best Scottish football can offer, they can have as many reconstructures they like, the baws burst.
-
another game we've gifted away.
-
ref is getting worse by the minute! bet there is only 2 mins injury time
-
we should appeal that red! if only to ensure he plays on saturday either the ref has been bought or more likely way out of his depth! refs in scotland are joke
-
craigan and reynolds are having a mair of a game. Ref has not given us anything all night. timewasting by the ref now! no chance of anything the night.
-
thought there was a foul leading up to hearts goal. Hearts player clearing barged our player out the road. Mind you we have many chances to clear. Hearts are one dimensional. Hoof up park to big player. It's clear we are short of match practice, and resultant sharpness. They are doubling up on our wide players, so perhaps we need murphy to wander more. The booking Jennings got was deserved, but overhall the refs although not having much to do, would appear to be letting them kick us at any opportunity. Nothing new i suppose.
