  1. No hunger, no determination, no pride, no passion. We got what we deserved today, defeat and bottom six. Our slide started the moment our club decided not to fix our pitch. Our team have had plenty of opportunities this season, and have blown every one of them.
  2. at this point in the season where every point is essential you play your best players. If they are tired bring them off when the game is won. Clarkson is our top goalscorer get him played. What's happened to young murphy? Has Cillian really provided more than what young murphy showed previously? Did McGhee's bad handling of Murphy during the team selections against Nancy, especially at home, damage the lads confidence?

perhaps the rules were set in stone, but can you imagine that 6th & 7th place teams are only split by 1 goal, and that the sixth place team had in fact played twice at home against the 7th place team. Also throw in the possibility that the 7th place team has played the old firm twice away from home at each on their grounds compared to perhaps only 1 for the 6th place team. Unfair advantage I would say.
  4. left midfield is so over rated. play hammell on the left wing, o'brien on the right wing, centre backs of reynolds craigen and quinn, midfield of lasley hughes & kimpl and front two of Clarkson & Sutton.
  5. Remove the old firm from the league. Im sure most media would be extremely interested in a league where any of the teams in the big league could win it from one year to the next. Certainly would remove the "whats the point" feeling every year. Better training facilities throughout the country, and play the game in the summer months. Playing on a winter night in freezing conditions on appalling pitches is never going to attract new fans to the game. League sponsorship monies should be equally split amongst all teams, and this money has to be used to reduce ticket prices. All kick times irrespective if a particular game is live on the tv or not should be played at the same time.

fhw got lucky, which seems to be their way for a while now. But again why is our top goalscorer playing in midfield?

cannae understand why you move clarkson who scoring goals for fun into midfield. we need a big bit of luck now, as hearts will break up and slow the game down. Then we take him off and replace him with mcgarry! has sutton kicked his erse this half?
  12. How much is Boyle worth? What promises did he make last season? Why no action on the pitch? Why should the fans put their hands in their own pockets, given that many already do pay over the odds to our club in blind loyality and without any appreciation from the club.

you would think fans of teams who are aiming for a european place would be happy that we play on a pitch which is inferior than the other SPL pitches. Surely, it's a major disadvantage to our team, given the way we try to play the game apparently. Todays footballers, pundits and fans are going soft. Games in the past were played in worse conditions, and yet produced better quality and entertainment. Good footballers should be able to play on any surface. Perhaps, if todays players had learnt the basics on first touch and ball control, and learned to adapt their games, then pitches like ours would not be such an issue. If the media want perfect pitches then perhaps they should be campaigning for summer football, rather than focus on a particular pitch in the middle of the winter.
  14. still got to wonder what the 1st half formation was all about. i know money is tight but surely we did not play for a draw to get more money in
  15. 451 against st mirren at home another one of those McGhee team selections which baffles.
  16. thank crunchie! hopefully, the guys can settle down now and score a few more.
  17. we need a goal soon to kill this game, otherwise the latter part of the game is going to be difficult and nervy.
  18. the two we've loaned, are they any better than the youngsters we have kicking in and around our first team? I dont know about the other lad, but from what i've seen Sheradin aint. I would rather we gave our young boys a chance to develop, and save money.
  19. I ment that Porter himself will gain more financially by stalling. He's in it for himself. We got him for nothing and will im sure leave for nothing.
  20. did he also not have a very short speel at Falkirk? I would rather we gave our youth players ago than sign this overrated big headed talentless muppet.
  21. Clubs like ours need players who actually appear to have some affection to the club they play for. Unless someone offers stupid money or he wants to leave, then he should not be sold. Getting rid of such players could upset the harmany of the squad.
  22. There is more money to be had for Porter by not moving just now. I would be very suprised if he agreed to move now.
  23. clock is ticking down yet again to another window, where the squad is in danger of being weakened further. Yes, it costs money to run a football club, but to continually cut and keep cutting the playing staff budget will eventually catch up with us. Even allowing for extensions to contracts to current players & staff, given the amount of wages free'd up by releasing players or selling them, then surely the wage budget aint that much different from previous seasons. Time will tell i supose, when the accounts come out, but it's certainly going to be interesting to see what has happened to the increased revenue from the increase in season ticket sales, higher prize money, european football etc etc. This season promised so much, but in typical Motherwell fashion, our club's ambition and progress has went backwards. Mr Boyle is ment to be a very good business man, with very intelligent people around them, yet from a position of scratch, i.e position to start again, where are the ideas or initiatives to progress our club forward? That german guy we were talking about the other day, had proper ideas, i.e. build a youth academy and build up slowly. What we got and continually get is overpaid diddies, and a crumbling stadium. If their is really no money within the club, stop this pursuit to bring in loan signings and give our youth players a proper chance.
