As Aaron has mentioned I've heard its along those lines too. That where its been raining say and the bottom tier is wet they'll put visiting teams with smaller supports up the top tier where there's less danger of folk slipping. Does nothing to help the atmosphere though.

Were they not known as Beanie hats back then? Mine will be up in the old dear's loft with similar momento's of by-gone eras like the 70's scarf that was claret coloured and silky on one side, amber on the other with claret pinstripes, my 1981'82 Championship winning flag, the centenary season scarf and 1991 Cup Finalist scarf. It wasn't actually the Cup Final I got mine at, it was at Johnny Gahagan's testimonial game a year before where bizzarely from nowhere the street-traders had them on sale. And my fat heid never fitted properlu in it either.

Did a search on the 'fishel and there's a 5% discount on offer..... >>> Motherwell and Thomas Cook

Note that its hotmail.co.uk and not hotmail.com I made the same mistake when sending my donation last week and had to re-send it last night.

I'm lucky enough to be sorted but I think there needs to be a wee bit more clarity from the club on where they are at in terms of numbers of tickets left for the ballot and how this is likely to pan out. There are enough posts to suggest that a considerable amount of folk were under the impression that from today onwards they were hopefuly going to be contacted with some good news. Clearly folk have been hoping that call was going to come their way today. Fair enough if the process will take longer but I think there are a number of folk that are already keyed up about the prospect of missing out on a ticket and any further delay isn't going to ease their tension. If its the case they now have to potentially wait until to the latter part of the week or even into next week before knowing, then good of MFC as it is to respond to individual enquiries I think the plans have to be communicated en masse and soon via the official/programme/scoreboard/tannoy to keep these guys up to date.

I wouldn't expect your season ticket for a good wee while yet to be honest. Generally you are looking at the middle of the close season if not later.

Just read the link from the Wishae Press tweet earlier today where they are talking about Kenny Black. >>> Wishaw Press Seems to imply he's only contracted until the end of the season. Didn't know that.

To be fair most of that is from the over-animated drivel that I spout during the games!

Re: the STV story. Good as it is that we are challenging it, I think I might have preferred it if we were challenging it with a bit more substance to tackle their claim, than simply challenging them for failing to lodge their complaint in time.

Yeah, whilst we are far from comparing like for like with Dundee Utd despite winning the cup last season and finishing third they only posted a profit of £66,000...

I was the same Kunta my letter arrived yesterday [OT - where did they dig out the old photo of Fir Park from? Nice and brought back memories of the old place but very random] Anyways the standing order option looked a good option to me too but I was also a bit unsure about how it would work. First installment taken out on some random date after the standing order being set up? Three installments instead of four? I phoned earlier and was advised that the standing order would come off in four installments, the first on 25th May with the remainder on the quoted 5th day of June, July and August. Was encouraged to get the forms to them ASAP if I wished to go with the standing order option.

If, whatever the precinct management company are called do attempt to do something, what about a ceremonial excavation of the time capsule stuff that's buried under the 1991 Cup mosiac in the precinct? Get some former players involved with current ones, sign autographs, meet their adoring public blah de blah with the 1991 stuff to be re-buried and added to with some 2011 vintage items?

Not that I'm particularly fond of him but a forward in a similar mould to O'Connor - as in lots of SPL experience, former Scottish internationalist, few years down south - that was mentioned on the radio yesterday was Steven Thomson. The wee tadger Chic Young has him all set to join St Mirren, once (if? ) they confirm their SPL status. Could we make Thomson the hat-trick of players pinched from under their noses? Still far rather have Sutty mind.

Tickets safely secured and nestling snuggly in my jacket pocket!! Got Section B4 row WW so pretty close to the back which suits me fine. In and out inside 5 minutes after heading over straight from work. No problem in getting our lot together. Mon the 'Well!!

According to the times this is the last "late night" opening and both locations were due to be open to 6pm tonight. Presume the school is being used as a polling station on Thursday night and thats why there's nothing doing that evening? No matter fingers crossed our tickets should be in hand by close of business tonight!

I don't think its unreasonable at all to query why there seems to be charges implemented on a per ticket basis when previously it seems to have been a per transaction basis. Equally I don't think its unreasonable to query why a bus that cost £5 only a couple of weeks ago doing the same journey has doubled in price to £10 for the final. But there are ways of putting those questions across that are likely to get you the answer you want, and there are other ways which those that could probably answer are likely to take one look and move right on

Season Ticket Pre-Sale Regsitration Form
Andy_P replied to MFC Supporters Advisory's topic in Club Chat
Seems a good idea to have these out for folk to have completed to bring with them when purchasing their tickets, and I see from the form that ST Holders have a full week to purchase tickets, rather than the 5 days mentioned earlier. On that score are the club any closer to advising what the opening hours will be as yet? There was talk of late night which could be very helpful to those unable to get to Fir Park during standard office hours. -
Dear oh dear So knowing that the Chief-Exec reads and posts on these boards, when some dafty rolls up to Fir Park next week with a photocopied voucher, who do you think the eye of suspicion is going to fall upon? Daft idea as it was to begin with, its surely even more daft ti actually put the suggestion out on the board!!!
-
The cross-referencing has to be crucial thing with the ballot otherwise they would surely be just as well doing a general sale. That in itself might be a concern to some - witness the repeated posts about getting no season ticket renewal information/three lots of season ticket information/getting invites to purchase tickets for Old Firm games in the away end but in theory if they have your details on there somewhere on some such database the cross-referencing intention would seem to offer a bit more reassurance that you'll get a ticket. Still a bit unclear however how that helps you if are on the database and are looking to sit others who for whatever reason might not be though.

Yip, he stated quite plainly he wanted to come back to Scotland to re-establish himself in the SPL. And within days of doing so was heard to say how he loved being part of the squad at Fir Park with all that entails in comparison to his time in China. Knowing the Evening Times though they've probably only focused on Maurice in the first place because he happened to play with Rangers will know that as a minor space filler it will have slightly higher interest level for a number of their readership than any genuine desire to get the facts of the story right.

It's possibly been lost a few pages back but thought there was some meritin kmcalpin's suggestion last night, of vouchers from season ticket books being used as an in betweener stage between the ST holders sale and a ballot. Say you have a few days for ST holders to purchase their allocation (up to 4 or whatever it was) either alongside or shortly followed by a couple of days for those with appropriate voucher from a ST holder's book, then your proposed ballot or general sale. As with all suggestions its not going to work for everybody but I think it would likely mean that these vouchers would go from Motherwell fans to other Motherwell fans and further reduce the chances of tickets falling into the wrong hands. I'm sure we could think of a way on here that could help vouchers be passed from those who don't need them to the right hands.

First thought was the number of mentions of Motherwell rollercoaster by Delboy in a week but seeing as the numbers are going down can't be that.... Nah, its the number of days until the Cup Final I'm guessing. Nice idea actually!

Hmmm. It's a clever play on the fact that everyone knows his deep association with Bradford, claret and amber colours and all, obviously but attempting to ingratiate yourself into Motherwell culture by signing off emails "Forever in Claret and Amber" when your just in the door is surely little different from the insincere badge kissing McCall refers to in his most recent article. As it happens simply through his growing understanding of the club, and by word and deed over the course of the past five or six months he's doing everything he needs to and more to enamour himself to 'Well fans without the need for the "Forever in Claret and Amber" tagline. A couple of years and couple of trophies and European tours down the line mind.......
