  1. Ah,the day of my 21st Birthday. What a start of the day that was. My Mrs first home game too
  2. Aye but the SFA have changed his name to Paul
  3. When did Jamie Murphy start playing in blue or green+white?
  4. OK had a quick look but as of sometime before December 2007 we had 10000 shares in Workington Reds but sold them to some guy. From their forum:-
  5. I forgot about Workington Reds. What is our actually link with them? I notice their 'Fishal site still has a link to the Motherwell 'Fishal site.
  6. We have no real feeder clubs. The ones that appear in FM (Queen's Park and Albion Rovers) are there for ease. One as a friendly (Queen's Park) and the other to make it easier for them to loan players from us.
  7. Aye but we've been in the league since the 1890's and had to end 2nd before being invited into the top division. None of this 7th pish
  8. Aye. But they've only been a Scottish League Club since 1905 being elected into the First Division despite coming 7th (out of 12) in the Second Division in 1904 season. I wonder if they got as much hassle as Livingston, Gretna, Inverness CT about being a fake club etc. etc. I thought it was us that were saved due to reconstruction. Was it not Falkirk Stadium Mark I that saved Aberdeen?
  9. Yes, The Old Firm are the only clubs to be there at the beginning and never be relegated. The only current members of the top division in Scotland that are founding members are Heart of Midlothian and St Mirren. Although if you're being picky the only club not to leave the Scottish Football League (SFL) since it's founding ate Dumbarton (Rangers, Celtic, Hearts and St Mirren now play in the SPL). The rest are now defunct.
  10. Found another website... Arsenal - First appearance in 1904. Relegated in 1913 - reinstated after World War I and never relegated again. Although they played two season in the lower division. Everton - relegated in 1931. Promoted again 1932. Relegated again in 1951 - spending three season in the lower division before being promoted.
  11. According to one website the only English Club not to be relegated from the top division in England since 1950 are Hull City - but they're only in their second season. Peterhead have never been relegated (highest they've climbed in the 2nd Division) nor have Elgin although they have ended bottom of the lowest league in Scotland - nor have the been out of the bottom division.
  12. Have the Old Firm been relegated? Also Aberdeen are not even a 110 years old yet. They're still a baby club.
  13. tbf the Charlton Manager was a little harsh comparing him to Christian Dailly. I don't think there is a more professional player in the game. Probably still fitter than most premiership players - just like he was in his last season with The Hammers.
  14. The table shows 7 teams have never been relegated... As for technicalities there would only be 5 teams never relegated if it wasn't for technicalities - don't see people bringing up the fact towards Aberdeen. Still as the table shows, the history book doesn't show the technicality
  15. Guys stick to the topic in hand. I would bet Hampden Park or Easter Road will be the Semi Final venue. They'll be midweek at night of the 2 and 3 February 2010
  16. It would be good to see a more up to date one. Say the last 20 or 30 years as it's silly still seeing Queen's Park in the top 15 clubs because they have won the Scottish Cup more times than anyone else outside the Old Firm despite not winning it since 1893 (10 wins and 2 Runner Up). The two FA Cups, where they were runner ups twice are probably also accounted for too
  17. I doubt the Rancid bothered to have a sit down conversation with him while he was on holiday in France.... Weeyin is spot on as 'Flow says.
  18. Were the Sun running a competition who could fit in as many puns as possible into one article

    Highlights

What's wrong with it? Falkirk did dominate the second half... We were murder and scored with our only real chance. Nothing wrong with the assessment - hell almost every Motherwell fan had the same assessment.
  20. Ah I remember the incident - seemed overkill his reaction after not getting the foul. I was in the Main Stand and I though big Yass and Humphrey weren't going down often enough in the first half.
  21. Yeah, he even got the Steelmenonline "He's Pish" thread after about 5 games
  22. Why? In the first half Moutaouakil, like Humph didn't go down often enough....
  23. Yeah but I think we've probably seen more of both players than 95% of Everton fans... I would sign Ruddy if we could get him for £100K or less. £250K quoted is a little high, unless we sign him for 5 years and get a return after 2. As for Jutkiewitz, I would sign him too. Watching him on Saturday, and he was left with no help at times. He was bringing the ball down, moving it left and right.... just for the midfield to be 20 yards behind the play.
  24. Worst one for me was we were on the attack via Hammell (might have been a dead ball) Falkirk end up clearing their lines and the ball goes out on the East Stand side about in line with our defending 18 yard box (Reynolds shepherded it out)... so instead of Reynolds taking a quick throw in to the 3 players in 'Well tops he waits for Hammell to trek back, allowing Falkirk to mark every player in a Well top - why the fuck do we do that?
  25. So Europa League Qualification isn't significant?
