Aberdeen Sutton x3 and Jariswick both had a few decent chances to score Result 0-0 Rangers Big Yass great cross to Sutton, for it to bounce of Sutton. Big Yass great cross to Coke (I think) for him to blast over the bar Result 0-0 Dundee United Jutkiewicz forces a good save from the United Keeper. Result 1-0 us Hibernian Nae idea, missed it Lost 3-1 Falkirk Did we have any. Didn't matter Won 1-0 OK we have not created much but in the last 5 games we have won 2 and drawn 2 and lost 1. It doesn't matter if we have no shots on goal from open play as long as we make free kicks, corners or penalties count - you don't get any extra bonus points for goals scored in open play.

MJC, if we were a biggger team, the performances we have won since the Rangers game (Dundee United and Falkirk) where we have been rather pish would be called Championship form. Rangers and Celtic for two decades practically have won the league by doing what Motherwell did against Dundee United and Falkirk week in week out. Dundee United have been pish since their draw with Celtic (funny enough the same weekend we drew with Rangers) while Hibs got humped by Hamilton and then humped oot the cup by St Johnstone. Hearts will be there IF they sign a striker. No doubt about it in my mind. Aberdeen, like every other club can go from one good result to one pish result. It's all about who can have less pish results than someone else, and nothing so far as said other clubs are miles ahead of us in that department (except Celtic).

Failing to get European Football despite being favourites two seasons on the trot.... with only a hand full of games to go is nothing but failure.

Totally agree, I also swear I seen him use the outside of his foot to pass the ball yesterday. I didn't even think Craigan knew he could use that part of his foot while under control of the ball. Although after his mazy run against Kilmarnock, I think a couple of times he was fighting the urge yesterday to take on few players but he thought he better not I think I may have underrated his passing ability for FM

I think we'll end above Dundee United. I really don't understand where everyones love for them is coming from. They have a history of choking and to be honest a manager that doesn't seem to be able to change it. I really do wonder how long Levein will be allowed to continue to fail at Dundee United. Hibs will be a little tougher, but I think, like us a couple of injuries to key players (or fall outs....) will put a couple of skid tracks on their campaign. We're no worse than Aberdeen, but if Hearts can keep in touch till Janaury and Romanov moves out of the way (unlikely) and they sign a striker they'll be there too....

+1 Although I think Craigan now has a very impressive range of passing that once again needs a mention

Not a game to remember but when it comes the end of the season we're not going to care how we played, we'll see it as 3 points from Falkirk, who had not yet won a game this season. For some reason I think at half time the players just seemed to remember Falkirk don't score goals so decided by being 1-0 we had already done enough. Yeah we got off lightly a couple of times and the Falkirk keeper probably won't have many "easier" days but in the end, we're 3 points better of tonight... and joint third - and another clean sheet to add to our tally.

Fan Changes His Name To Motherwell Football Club
Wellfan1984 replied to mfcsuperwell's topic in Club Chat
Being discussed HERE I'll just close this. -
Especially when according to the OP, Motherwell FC have said it's ok
-
This will go two ways for me. We'll come flyinf out of the traps and bombard their goal with everything we have and win by a fair margin or we'll come flying out of the traps, Falkirk will be forced to play 7-3-0 and it will end 0-0.

It's a Health & Safety Issue that Motherwell FC/SPL could remove at any time they wanted as it comes from a recommendation. If 52,000 people at Hampden, with well over half of them probably well beyond the safe drinking limit can do it - and watch us beat teams like France and Ukraine - and come away from it with only a slash on their shin ( ) I'm sure it will be ok for 25-35 odd people to do it at Fir Park
-
To be fair Maurice Malpas is quite a respected coach... As for manager well, lets just not go there ever again! Again, no problem with Dodds, or his prediction - apart from he went for a score draw instead of a 0-0
-
23 goals in 6 games! No one is even close to us in that department.
-
Can I ask why you think it is unfair?
-
He was dropped by Brewster after stopping Rangers hitting 10 (only he let in 5) and falling out with Brewster. Butcher then choose him as his number 1 in the hope of getting him to stay at ICT - playing in all post-split fxitures

The short but sweet SPL 'Fishal Website report...
-
No but he hasn't made any more mistakes than Ruddy has. In fact Ruddy has made more mistakes which have led to goals than Fraser has. Yet no one is on his back. The fact of the matter is, they're professional footballers and there is not a single keeper in the world that doesn't make mistakes, even some of the best, in some of the biggest games in the season (for example Foster against City).
-
I'm more shocked he went for 1-1 more than anything. If it was going to be a draw I thought 0-0 would have been the safe bet.
-
The 2-0 game? No he didn't play he was playing for Wallsall at the time.
-
Whle you're basing Fox on a game against Rapid Vienna? While in the SPL for 5 games he has been no great shakes (Suso putting him on his arse at least twice against Hearts)....
-
To be fair to Fox. About 4 months ago he couldn't play for Scotland as he had been capped at Under 21 Level by England and was over 21. FIFA changed the rules, which allows him to be capped for Scotland.
-
Hammell wins against Manchester United - 1 (while marking Rooney oot the game, and getting booked for kicking him up in the air) Fox wins against Manchester United - 0 I'm sure we could do a lot of these in favour of both players
-
We did. Rangers and Celtic past and present (not to mention a few of the best Under 19 sides in the world) one a Champions League side the other a massive Europa League side (eh like Rapid) were given a torid time by Lee Wallace down the left side. Fox has what... given Rapid a torid time and struggled against eh Hearts - Lee Wallace's club?
-
And you have fallen into the trap of OMG Europe bigger stage bollocks - Lee Wallace ripped Rangers to pieces and they're in the Champions League, not the Europa League Wallace display in Zagrab was not great, his performance at Tynie was a joy to watch as a Scotland fan against the same team, a team I would rate higher than Rapid.... Saying that! I think we're the only team to have two players that have marked Rooney oot a game and both are known to be shite to some of our fans....
-
Actually your post was about the large amount of mistakes that Fraser made that have not led to goals... that's not a bad thing in a keeper. If a keeper makes a mistake and it doesn't lead to goals, then it's naw a bad keeper to have...
