One thing, Hammell is not pish, he is a very high standard of SPL player. Those who think he is pish need to watch more football from around the world - even in la liga there are some shocking left backs.... As for Danny Fox, well it's a disgrace he is in the squad not because Hammell is not but because Lee Wallace, who has, for the last three years been the best left back in the country - at Club and International Youth level - is not.

Mistakes by Fraser you mean unlike Ruddy, who has never made a mistake except a fair few at St Johnstone (probably the same that Fraser has done in all his appearances) and against Hibs?
-
A weird stat of the day. We have never lost (playing twice) when we have played Hibs on 26 September. We won 3-0 at Fir Park in 1908 and 4-2 in the League Cup in 2007.

Are most of our games going to be a Saturday this year? Was hoping to get to a fair few but travelling to the away games seem to be out - although Bathgate is easier enough if I can't make the First Team games.
-
4-3 to Motherwell. The big worry is Big Yass will be up against Riordan and this could force him to remember that he's a right back, although it could work the other way and force Riordan to be more defensive minded. Overall I would be shocked if it isn't a cracker of a match.

Out of all the possible teams, I think this is the best away draw we could have hoped for. Always rather be at home (even with our cup record recently). Can't wait
-
Then going by that what we did against Falkirk (not Hibs means jack). In fact what happened in our last game or Hibs last game means jack. You can bring in all the stats in the world and it won't decide the outcome of the game. Head to Head is only a decent indicator if you use stats available. Or more likely you used the stats because it went towards your argument, while the full whack of available stats blew your argument out of the water To be honest I think our better defensive performances have come because of a wide variety of reasons, although the main one for me is Gannon has pin pointed certain players in the last few games as possible dangermen and our defence have defended at all costs (Kyle (killie), Boyd (Rangers), Cadamateri (Dundee United) and well Aberdeen are pish ). Saying that we're always going to have frailties, as to be honest the best teams in the world have some frailty of some sort.

Going by you record *cough* Clarkson/Quinn *cough* it means he'll make it then
-
That was under McGhee... but since you like your stats why did you miss out the other 8 games we played against Yogi Hughes' sides? You know the ones that go like this 2006/07 (Malpas) Motherwell 3-3 Falkirk Falkirk 1-2 Motherwell Motherwell 4-2 Falkirk Falkirk 0-1 Motherwell 2006/07 (Butcher) Falkirk 1-1 Motherwell Motherwell 3-1 Falkirk Falkirk 0-1 Motherwell Motherwell 5-0 Falkirk Pld 15 Won 7 Drawn 4 Lost 4.... oh wait I see why you choose only two seasons as it makes our record against Hughes look a lot worse. Poor show there. But do you know what is the most important stat of all... Under Gannon we have currently played against a Hughes' team a massive zero times....

Two games in a row St Johnstone have ripped them apart. The only difference between the two games was St Johnstone brought their shooting boots last night.

There has been some shite spouted on this site - a lot by myself to be fair - but this is way up there with the worst.

Is it just me or does Jutkiewicz remind anyone of Porter? He started a little slow in his Motherwell career, with some on here calling him pish before his goal against Gretna which bounced of his arse... I think Jutkiewicz could be the same once he gets his first goal.
-
Were you not the same? All doom and gloom just over a month ago? I think some fans on here need to look at themselves before we look at the media, although I still can't understand how anyone could tip us for the drop while Falkirk and Hamilton looked a lot worse on paper.
-
That's the thing, a fair few of our fringe players have more experience than our first team, so it isn't really treating ICT with disrespect.
-
Merged. As fr the game. It's a cup tie so it will start of as a nervy affair but I think we'll have enough and in the end run out comfortable winners at a scoreline of around 2-0/3-0. Or we could go hell for leather and be 2-0 in the first ten minutes, or we could do the normal Motherwell thing and lose 1-0. I'll go with the nervy to start but run out comfortable. I think a few of the fringe first teamers could be given the nod - I mean the likes of Jennings and Lasley, and even bring back Humphrey (sure I read he was back training) to get some match sharpness in them, although I like Melvin's team...
-
2 points aff the top please as it means we'll go to Celtic Park and win and go top the proper way
-
You mean apart from the one Sutton let bounce aff him against Rangers? That was the definition of a perfect cross.
-
Although I see where you are coming from, I don't think Porter was the same player without Clarkson in the team last season. I think those two were fantastic together, but if I had to choose one I would have to go with Clarky.
-
I think Craigan may be dropped due to his international commitments. Gannon has already said he came back from the last international break to early, he might think he needs a rest after 2 tough international games...
-
About 200-300 maybe. A fair few I walked past had English Accents tae. I expected a large bulk of them to be Scottish Based "fans". Fair play to those 300 though. As for the game, well worth it - and silverware at the end too
-
Agreed. If only we were a season earlier we could have maybe signed Stevie Woods up. Doubt he'll leave his current post though.
-
Tbf he said they couldn't afford a goalkeeper coach that was just a goalkeeper coach. Meldrum was registered as a player with Motherwell and most likely will be come January (don't think he can now) with Aberdeen.
-
Any word on how discussions with the other Youth and contracts?
-
I wouldn't bet against it... He has no place at Charlton. The only stumbling block will be his wages.
