  1. Because it's not been formatted yet. Of course certain words could cause a problem, like M8 since there is a very busy motorway between Edinburgh and Glasgow called the M8
  2. I'm working on auto texting them all to their proper words (i.e. u turns to you etc.)
  3. Has Artur Krysiak found a club yet? Or has Melly not been willing to approach JG regarding him?
  4. And this guy is high up at Aberdeen.
  5. Is this going to turn into a pissing contest as to who have had the better exports? How do you want to decide? Transfer Fees Paid for said players in their history?
  6. I said in attack. But saying that most set formations (like 4-4-2) tends to turn into a 4-2-4 in attack, but you will find our wide players of the front 3 of the midfield will be more offensive minded. While the central midfielders that will be protecting the back 4 will all be defensive minded, and be asked or more likely forced to defend all areas of the park. Again we won't be playing a 4-2-4, I think Gannon has already mentioned his favourite formation (or shown at least) is 4-2-3-1 (if anyone cares to note, it's the same formation Barcelona used to great effect in the Champions League - but their attacking formation turned into 2-1-7
  7. Well UEFA will be basing the draw for the Third Round on the fact we'll get through, but I'm sure they would have done the same when we played Mypa 47 or when Aberdeen played Bohemians Very true we did only qualify because of Fair Play but then again, you can't compare qualfying for Europe by way of Albanian competitions to Scottish competitions. The fact you have said you know a lot about Scottish Football then mention how good your youngsters are compared to ours, when you can't possibly know that (despite one of ours, who some here think hasn't performed for Motherwell) ripping Albania U21's to shreds. Most Motherwell fans don't actually know (including me) how good our own youngsters really are. Although you do have something right, the heat will be something most fans of Motherwell should be worried about with regards to getting any kind of result.
  8. 4-2-3-1 is a formation that is all in name a 4-2-4 in attack. The central player of the three "attacking midfielders" is the second striker. While the wide men are wingers of a normal 4-4-2. What we will need is to make sure whoever the 2 midfielders protecting the back four are the fittest of all players, as they will need to cover all areas of midfield, be it through the centre of wide areas. That's why a lot of teams that play the 4-2-3-1 formation seem to use strikers/forwards for the front four positions a lot
  9. Rule number one of slagging of someone's post. Make sure your own is top grade
  10. How is Sutton not able to play the Penalty Box Striker, which a 4-2-3-1 caters for?
  11. Wow! So it isn't the doom and gloom for our Under 21's as first thought as they hammered Albania a couple of months ago. If a mid table Albania has excellent youngsters then the bigger clubs must have. Scotland is in good shape then, and that makes me happy...
  12. Being discussed here
  13. Aye but he is, to me, one of, if not the most one footed player you have ever seen in your life. The saying "only uses his weaker foot to stand on" was written for Fletcher. Hibs fans even made fun of the fact he runs extra yards to make sure he doesn't have to touch the ball with his right foot
  14. Yeah we could do that, same with picking the team, signing players, scouting players. We could even let Boyle & Co. run things the way they want to without us saying the way we want it done. FFS man, I know people don't like the way this forum has gone but sheesh lets just kill it by not discussing anything....
  15. That's a little unfair! Slane has pace In fact according to the Beeb Slane is one of the fastest players in the SPL.
  16. IMHO best news in the whole piece.
  17. Does that mean we were going for a draw home and away to Llanelli since we played a type of 4-5-1 in those games?
  18. Don't agree. The one thing we do have is an "out and out" goalscorer. I don't think there are many better than Sutton outside the Old Firm in Scotland at being in the box to put away chances. If we get two or three decent crosses in the box between the penalty spot and the six yard box Sutton will more than likely score... if he is fit of course.
  19. Nae idea. All I know it's one of the better ideas to come from the top of FIFA
  20. You mention Jennings can be the tough tackler but also the one with an eye for goal! Hughes, as the attacking midfielder should be the one with the eye for goal. Only at Motherwell would we be happy with an attacking/creative midfielder with such a poor assist and goal ratio. As for comparing him to Lasley, and I am certainly not Lasley's biggest fan but they are two different types of midfielders. Here's a point, has Gannon even offered Hughes a chance to stay?
  21. He c ould be a class player when he wanted to, but he was an awful Attacking Midfielder. Nor did he "create" much for much of last season.
  22. Not seen anything on TV. Best bet is probably some dodgy Albanian Internet site...
  23. tbh if you look at the images of the town then the images of Motherwell it is not Vlora that looks like a developing City. Vlora looks like paradise in comparison.
