  1. Nothing can be done before Thursday really as we can only swap one player for another. 10 July (hopefully) will be when the next registration is for the Cup.
  2. Being discussed in the giant Managerial Thread. So I'll just murge this with that
  3. Record's been reading this site again
  4. You're 'avin a laugh right? We're fucking Motherwell FC! Many people on here *looks at the auld yins* bought season tickets hoping that they wouldn't get relegated. Whoever said it on here a day or so ago was right, some Motherwell fans have been pampered too long. If we lose our players, then the next line of Clarksons/Quinns/Reynolds will need to step up to the plate and knuckle down and battle away in the SPL. Even if we lose all three players, I very much doubt we'll be relegated this season.
  5. We only have four players in our squad that scored last season in the league (If we take out Clarky and Quinn) Sutton - 10 Murphy - 2 Fitzpatrick - 1 O'Brien - 1 So a grand total of 14 goals when we scored 46 goals last season (just under 70% lost).
  6. If we get past this round we get to re-register a brand new 25 if we want to on 10 July 2009 for the Second Round.
  7. Hopefully we're slapping on 15-25% sell on clauses and appearance/international cap extra's as well.
  8. I would certainly with Clarkson be saying the latter. I don't think we're going to find an international squad striker willing to come to Motherwell and also have the money available to re-build a whole squad. It's all good the club making a profit but there are now League 2 players, in fact there are now Division 1 players in Scotland going for six figure sums it is going to take a lot of money to re-build the squad. Saying that we've lost players before and come through it and we will do so again.
  9. Fantastic showing from Llanelli.
  10. Nah next season it'll be the playoff round when we win the Scottish Cup in May
  11. I've been betting on that for three years now. Hopefully this year will be correct. Despite the possibility of losing Clarkson and Quinn I still think we'll end above Falkirk, Killie and Accies and probably St Johnstone too.
  12. You mean except Falkirk? They have less First Team players on their books than we do. Not to mention they have already lost Higdon and look likely to lose Mallo.
  13. The first three rounds run every Thursday from 2 July to 6 August. No weeks off
  14. Well if you look at McCormack is a £5m rated striker and Fletcher is a £4m+ rated striker and Clarkson has out scored both of them in recent years (when McCormack was at Motherwell) and Fletcher last season then I would still say £1m is too little...
  15. Do Cardiff know any other clubs apart from Motherwell nowadays? The scary thing is as far as I can tell there are no ex-Dossers in the backroom staff there
  16. Nah, Motherwell rejected to swap the legs to them playing at home first. Llanelli wanted it changed as they were worried that if we hammered them in Airdrie they would have a problem selling tickets for their home tie.
  17. Doesn't the categories stand for rounds. Cat 1. - First Round Cat 2. - Second Round Cat 3. - Third Round Elite - Elite Rounds (Used to be First Round and Group Stages in UEFA Cup and Beyond). Although I'm sure these are now outdated since the Champions League and Europa League have been reformatted. It also seems outdated as I am sure either Alun the Llanelli fan or their own forum said they had to upgrade to 1000 seats to be allowed to play at home.
  18. That's the most disgusting thing about it imho.
  19. Actually according to UEFA Stadium Regulations 2006 Article 16. Point 2 reads: The use of temporary stands is prohibited. Although point 1 of the same article would put our O'Donnell Stand (North and South) out of use as it reads: Seats for spectators must be individual, fixed (e.g. to the floor), separated from one another, shaped, numbered, made of an unbreakable and non-flammable material and have a backrest of a minimum height of 30 cm when measured from the seat Although again same Article, if I read this right Terracing is allowed in the First Qualifying Round... Unless they have changed where it says Round 2, now reads round 1.
  20. I agree but if they think they can gain any advantage from playing at their Home Ground then it is their decision. Although if the amounts that are being quoted are correct then the money they make subtract the cost of policing a bigger stadium and hiring the place may actually not be that great, especially if they only sell 300-500 tickets.
  21. According to the Beeb and DigitalSpy they will not collect any subscription payments from any UK Customers. It is only Setanta Sport Ltd and Setanta Transmissions (UK) Ltd that have gone into administration. Setanta Ireland and other Setanta Companies (USA I guess) will continue to trade as normal.
  22. Official now. Setanta are in administration because as of 2.30pm today Deloitte were appointed Administrators.
  23. Thanks. It is called answering a question made in this thread. Although if you know different I guess you could correct me. No?
  24. Blue Square and Irish? good bye Shitanta.
