  1. Clarky did well, and made his own mistake into a goal was class, but again it seemed O'Brien looked dangerous when he had the ball. Today again though was proof that we need an attacking midfielder who take a pop at goal.
  2. You're a bit late signing players at 16! Clubs nowadays invest millions in kids under the age of 10 and by 16 decide if it is worth it. In many leagues, across Europe and the world there are 16 year old making their debut for the club. Accies have both given McArthur and McCarthy their debut at 16... a bit late trying to sign someone when they are already old enough to play professional football.
  3. Of course he's not the complete player but to be fair to McLean even the best of the best lose their man. For me, next season unless we sign someone better (unlikely) McLean and Craigan should be our centre partnership. I understand McGhee's stance as that is a lot of money per game for Motherwell to spend but hopefully we will be seeing McLean signing a new two year deal.
  4. A benefit of being pisher than the National Co-Eff at this early stage. Although I thought they binned seeding at this time of the comeptition.
  5. Norther Ireland - Linfield and Lisburn I believe Wales - The New Saints and Llanelli A.F.C. if your list is right thank fuck we miss Sweden and Norway's Fair Play teams....
  6. I don't think any of that will be a problem. I think what Welldel says may be the biggest stumbling block. If Buzz leaves though, would love to see him between the sticks for us again.
  7. Probably due to the amount of games he has played for us under McGhee. Saying that I would be gutted to see him leave if we don't offer a new contract.
  8. Don't need a passport for Republic. Any form of recognised (by the EU) ID is acceptable. Las time I went I used my Provisional Driving License
  9. What about Wales, Northern Ireland or at a push the Republic?
  10. I can't remember Scotland ever winning the Fair Play League before so I don't know but I would be shocked if the SFA were not forced to come out and show everyone why and how the club that gets the slot wins the Fair Play League. I am also sure, there might be a few challenges if certain things look amiss. Saying that, one month is not very long to challenge any decision made by the SFA. It is weird though Man City had a rough idea where they stood going into the last game of last season, yet Motherwell don't know where they stand going into our last game this season.
  11. 'Flow has already advised we'll be getting a "play by play" on the 'Fishal site
  12. Got to love "our" Maros
  13. If and when we move we HAVE TO take the "Keep Cigarettes Away from the Match" sign we have above the East Stand. It just won't be our stadium without that. It is one of the only things people tell me when I ask them about Fir Park
  14. Personally, on this season I would rather keep Buzz than Hughes. Get down to the first division and get hold of one of those midfielders that like to hit the ball from 25 yards. We need a goal scoring midfielder more than anything.
  15. Frazzle is right. If we're being out matched in the market by a club that has been choking in the first Division for a good few years then there is problems at the very top of our club. If McGhee really wanted these players then the Board should have been able to out match St Johnstone. As for being relegated. I'll Say it again. Nae chance.

The problem with Hammell, is not himself per say, but look at ICT's first goal, where was our left midfielder? If Hammell is beaten, which tbf, even the greatest left backs are beaten at times, the left midfielder should be there to cover, and if not the left sided centre back. Hammell has never had, defensively (Pearson, Foran and now whoever McGhee decides) a left sided midfielder he could trust. I agree his postional sense is not what it could be, every player has something they can work on, but I think teams try our left not because of Hammell (we still conceded a fair whack with Patterson at left back) but our whole left side.

And where would you put Hammell, once again our most attacking threat? I wish we had an Attacking midfielder that would do as much as Hammell to create goals

  19. Aye, aren't they great. You must have picked up the "total doom and gloom" one and I must have picked up the "not so doom and gloom" one
  20. And we have a winner. Although I don't think he will totally fade from total performance he won't be raved about as much as he is now. And if he goes to the Premiership he'll sit on the bench for most of the season (unless he joins the Brum)
  21. So Clarkson's twenty odd goals are no use, Sutton's ten or so goals are no use... OK then. Sure. I'll tell you now we won't be relegated next season, and unless we go bust, we won't be relegated in the next 5 years either. ICT, Accies, Falkirk/St Mirren (which either one survives), Kilmarnock, St Johnstone and I might add, going by your logic Aberdeen tae will all struggle next season.
  22. Miss the Midden game? I don't think Motherwell struggled for motivation that day. £22 though to sit in what will most likely be a half empty, freezing cold, damp stadium. I think I'll pass tae.
  23. I am quite proud that we have a player under that title, as by going by all the world class players in the world* you have to be able to dive on que to be up there. It is one of, if not the most important attribute to a world class player. * Yes, I know Messi dives less than most but still
  24. Aye because Porter, Klimpl, Sutton, O'Brien and Hughes didn't strengthen our squad in anyway. I forgot a midfield/strikeforce of (over the course of McGhee's reign) Lasley, Fitzpatrick, DL Smith, McGarry, Clarkson, McCormack and Murphy is just as strong as a midfield/strikeforce of (over the course of McGhee's reign) Lasley, Fitzpatrick, DL Smith, McGarry, Hughes, Klimpl, McGarry, O'Brien, Clarkson, McCormack, Murphy, Sutton and Porter. So, you're telling me at the start of the season 12 (McCormack had left) players to cover midfield and up front (when all fit) is the same as 7 players...
  25. As for Leigh Griffiths. Nae chance. He'll move south to the Championship I feel. Although it is so annoying see all these "quality" players from Livingston over the last season or two moving on to bigger clubs before we have acted. Dorrans, McPake, MacKay, Davidson and now probably Griffiths.
